Any idea when the steam version will be out?:):D
Thanks guys, you got this out pretty damn early it has to be said.
Awesome!
(I have slow wireless...)
you dont need steam to run this game and y do you want to run it in steam?
Guessing that was pointed towards me? I bought the game from steam.. So im one of the unlucky one's waiting for it to be released on steam. Thought the installer would be the same installer as the steam one... I was wrong!
WE LOVE YOU, TELLTALE!
But yet the first one says no rating provided? ..
*Just a nerdy observation I guess*
Edit: And i'm installing now, till we meet again!!!
Apparently not. ; )
I am so glad I'm not the only one.
EDIT: Oh yeah, that "Previously on Monkey Island"-kind-of scene was cool, using the tarot cards from the wallpaper
I feel stupid now :S Can't think because of overexcitedness
Seems like it will be a very fun episode!
I noticed that too Such a great piece of foreboding, I guess
ARG!
Easily forgivable though since this is getting better and better I don't know if it's maybe just my computer, but transitions between screens are a lot faster and smoother than in the first chapter.
Graphical touch ups are also apparent All in all this is the better chapter of the two, both storywise and quality!
Well done Telltale!
- Spinner Cay - brilliant, beautyfull, climatic location. Mer-folks - great (for a while I was affraid TT will reuse SeaChimps from S'n'M, but fortunetley thei mennaged to create great characters)
- Spoon Island - wandering in the jungle with lots of useles locations wasn't fun but every sin of this part of the story is redeemed by human LeChuck - he's awsomest part of ToMI to this point.
- Blocks - major one: whole fishing well part (using bait with hook in this location, useless fish eggs). Minor one: rubber mast - maybe my poor brain was just tired and forgot about this little location where the tree was.
For me - it was a bit better than Episode 1 - longer and more challenging, Great work, TT!
And a little thing I noticed: Google published a spoiler about the nature of the Merfolks:

The good:
- The swordfight in the beginning
- Morgan leFlay, great new character
- Winslow, not too memorable in chapter 1 but really funny in this one. His strange obsession with the map-pointing was gold
- Hated the re-use of character models in chapter 1 (Wiii!!!) but they're pretty good in this one, especially the tall one (just replace the nose, eyes, hair and beard and you can have a lot of these walking around)
- The amount of actual pirates. I think this is the first time in the whole series that we've actually seen a bunch of pirates trying to plunder the place... well.. living pirates anyway...
- The slight fantasy aspect, the merfolk.
- Something big actually happening to Guybrush (his hand).
- The human LeChuck thing is very interesting (and how idiotic is Guybrush for letting Elaine go with him)
The slightly bad:
- Sound quality in the royal chamber was really bad, although it got a lot better when they left that place.
- Marquis de Singe's background. My pc is pretty old so I have to play on the 3rd graphics level and the pixel-y background was really distracting in that scene
Anyway, you nailed the thing I love most about the Monkey Island games; the story
Can't wait to see this adventure continue!
And man, my hands are itching, I really want to do a TMI comic...
