Have you ever died in a Telltale game?
So we all know that it's extremely easy to avoid a game over in a Telltale game. Sometimes however we get distracted for whatever reason and are treated to a gruesome end for the main character. Do you remember any time when that happened to you?

Twice in Minecraft: Story Mode. I couldn't move the character in time because my phone wouldn't let me play left-handed.
Many times.
Although 99% of those were during Jurassic Park... and it was on purpose. (other 1%)I can almost guarantee I died during TWDs1. I'm sure I, at least, did it on purpose once, if not by accident.
I'm sensing a trend...
Only in the walking dead season 1. During episode 3 when the motor in was under attack by bandits I was terrible with my aiming and died about 17 times. I also died like 8 times in that bad ass Lee scene in episode 5 when he’s slashing through zombies to get to the marsh house. Back then I didn’t play video games as much as I do now so my skills were kinda bad.
When I first played season one of the Walking Dead, yeah a couple times.
Lmao no not unless i was bored or kreeged on sum good hash
Many many many years ago when I was younger, I could not for the life of me figure out you were supposed to grab the shotgun next to Lee in "A New Day" so I kept clicking on the officer. I probably killed Lee like 50 times. ;-; I'm sorry Lee I love youuu!! Oh that and the damn bandit scene in "Long Road Ahead" which in total I probably died somewhere around 100 times on. Fuck. That. Scene. And yeah a few other times in Season 1 as well, but I was new to gaming back then, so they aren't worth mentioning that much.
These days, nah not much. Unless I'm just stupid and fuck up a QTE or something.
Recently I died in ANF when you had to go through the herd in Ep 5 covered in walker guts, I thought it's gonna be like every other TWD game ever where you just keep pressing W (As Lee in S1, as Clem in S2 ep4, as Michonne) so I died then I realized this time you gotta move around
On my first play through of season 1 of the walking dead I died in the warehouse while trying to cut down the tanker because apparently punching a walker means you die straight away. I also died in TFTBL when you are at that racing thing and have to fight the pshyco's on the cars. All of the other times were to see how funny or stupid the deaths were.
In Sam & Max "Night of the Raving Dead", dying is part of what you're supposed to do in the episode. There's a cool "You Are Dead" graphic that comes up when you die, but I can't find it in an image search.
Otherwise, I just got Bigby Wolf killed in the first episode when I hadn't gotten the controls quite figured out yet.
You know sometimes i die on purpose because the way you die is really funny!
For example in new frontier episode 5
If you don't press the button when javi is trying to jump from a roof to the firescape of the next building, he dies in perhaps the funniest way possible.
I suggest that everybody give it a try!
You won't regret it.:)))
couple of times, yeah.
The fucking motel shootout in TWD S1 killed me a bunch of times. Partly cause I didn't fully grasp how it worked and partly because I saved Doug instead of Carley, which makes it significantly harder. Brenda gave me a rough time too, until I watched someone else do it in a walkthrough.
Other than that, just a few QTE failures.
In the second playthrough of ANF, I got the Javier's death easter egg by accident and I thought I screwed up and restarted.
S1 TWD...I died several times when Sandra attacked me...I missed the fact that Clem had a hammer I could use....ashamed to say I rewatched the Pewdiepie video to see what I was doing wrong...oh and in Batman...Blockbuster crushed my skull.
I died once in Tales From The Borderlands when Fiona was pointing her elemental gun at the mercenary while hanging from the tree. I realized too late that I was suppose to choose an element to fire instead of mashing RT and was treated to a bullet to the face.
In starved for Help when i was doing a playthought with Doug alive instead of Carley i died several times during the sequence with Travis turning into a walker .
Out of all the Telltale games I've played, I only died one time and that was in TWD Season 1 Ep. 3 during the bandit attack. I wasn't killing the bandits quick enough and one shot me in the head.
I've died a few times either due to shitty QTEs or bad game design choices that don't make it clear what exactly you need to do.
cough brenda cough
I thought Brenda was pretty clear considering she specifically tells you not to move or come closer.
A lot of other characters tell you vague shit too, but you didn't have to obey any of that. Why would I have been lead to believe Brenda was any different?
Yea, i died a couple times during around every corner when your leg gets stuck in the stairs.
"DON'T YOU TAKE ANOTHER STEP!!!"
I can't image it more clear.
Again, a lot of other characters say shit like that prior AND in other Telltale games, and yet NO penalty.
I can't count how many times in Jurrassic Park? Where did you base the "tt games are extrmely" easy from?
Walking Dead season 1 - At the pharmacy. When Lee runs to the back room and I didn't had Lee run fast enough. The motel - Lee was killed few times behind the RV during the shootout. Brenda shot Lee as I had him moved little too fast.
Walking Dead season 2 - Clem and Luke was on the bridge and Clem was killed by walker and my game frozed so I had to start that episode all over (Every single time if I screw up). So, I'm wondering if it's more of a glitch.
Walking Dead: The Frontier - Javier saving David and Gabe and Javier was bitten by walker and he tells Gabe to go find Kate and the game was over. Not once. But, few times.
Wolf Among us - Bigsby (sp) was killed as I hit the wrong button. Grr....
Sometimes I end up thinking "damn this cutscene is long" put the controller down then BAM a qte and then I die. Doesn't anyone else get this? Like with tftb I would be holding the controller for like 10 minutes without having to press a button so I zone out or put the controller down because my hand cramps up then the action starts but I still think its just cutscene or dont notice because I got bored.
I unintentionally died 3-6 times in Minecraft S1. I died 10+ times in Jurassic Park
Last scene of the Walking Dead Season 1
Minecraft Story Mode Season 1 Episode 3
Crafting the Formidi-bomb in the air...
Such memories
Game of Thrones Episode 6, when Gryff fell into the fire I though I could just not click E (which would stab him) and that I could just let him burn. But no, he got up while on fire and fell onto Asher.
Pretty much all others are in convos where you're not controlling the character's movement. Dying once from moving after her yelling that is also a good clue.
Well yeah, but you should be able to figure it out the first time. Trial and error bogs a game down sometimes.
ANF is the only one I can think of right now. I can't remember when exactly but there was a QTE that just wasn't registering (I wasn't getting them wrong either). To get past this issue I think I had to pause the game and then quickly spam the button prompts.
Brenda just came to mind, that shit was annoying initially.
One time I wasn't paying attention in Batman and came across this glorious game over screen:
But yeah, it happens. I usually just button smash to prevent it, but there's one point in ANF that I died 5+ times because I just didn't know what the game wanted me to do.
ibdie all the time in tt games sometimes to see if they are any good or usually from my games glitching out
In sjtory mode when I was fighting hadrian
In the GAMES
It's SUPER EASY to die on the iPad when playing any of the games since it doesn't always read what you're doing when you're swiping the arrows or trying to not die in an action scene. I've died countless times.
A couple times when I got distracted or I had to make the right choice or I'd die like in game of thrones.strong text
TWD was the first game for me, so obvs I kinda died a lot. Until I got used to the controls.
GoT swept the floor with me, Gared ended up as pincushion (sword cushion?) for most episodes because of my incredible laggy laptop.
Then there is MCSM, where I died because of some stupid arrows, couldn't craft the f bomb faster and apparently, I fell into lava at least twice plus the whole evil computer owning your butt because you couldn't identify the right objects.
