Sooo... Halloween?

edited October 2009 in General Chat
Hi, guys! Halloween is coming, and I don't know about you, but I'm pretty excited! My friend and I are trying to make costumes to go as Sam and Max. I wonder if anyone will recognize us.
Is anyone else dressing up as someone from Telltale Games? If not, that's fine, too. You can still share your costume. But people will probably point and laugh at you.
Just kidding.
Okay, so discuss! Who/what are you going as this year, if you celebrate Halloween?

Yup, I'm dressing up as David E. My costume will consist of chaps, a hockey mask, and three sock puppets.

That's kinda creepy, haha. But I guess that's the point of Halloween.

I love Halloween but I don't go to parties and I'm 21 years old, I still may wear something around the house or be inspired to make something. I'll probably go ghost hunting instead. I believe in that sort of thing.

Definitely one of my favorite times of year last year I played Kindgom Heart's Halloween mission during the Holiday, good stuff.

All I got is a busted camera and dosing rods, lol. Since this is a Halloween thread we could share pictures though.:) I just hope this doesn't turn into a prove or disprove ghost thread...been in too many of those, personally. The ironic part is that they don't really exist, you can't do either of the 2.

The burden of evidence is on the shoulders of those making extraordinary claims, though.

Yes but those people can't always provide the evidence needed. I totally agree with you though.

    Sharing is caring. >=(
If I can get some good pictures of our costumes, I'll definitely put them up. The only problem is, I can't find a fedora like Sam's. I might have to wear an Indiana Jones one. :(

Well, if you're really going as a dog and making a big dog suit then I assume the hat can be made of whatever material you are using. Just a thought not a prediction or lecture of sorts.

I love Halloween! I always decorate my house and play spooky music for trick or treaters. This year I'm thinking about being the Medic from Team Fortress 2.

Actually, I'm not making a whole dog suit. I'm just going to wear Sam's clothes and paint my face and do my hair weird and stuff...
Geeze, if I was talking about any other Sam, that would sound SO weird.
    Anyway, you'll see.
    YOU'LL ALL SEE!
    BAHAHAHAH--
    Oh, sorry.

I'm gonna be Fry from futurama, with a brain slug on my head. "I suggest we all go to the Brain Slug Planet, with no helmets on." [:D] I'll also be making the "apron" costumes from the Homestar Runner Halloween costume commercial for the contest.

Thanks! Have the hair-gel/hair-spray, shirt and pants... am making packages and a brown sack with a Planet Express logo, and the Brain slug, but I need to find a good jacket that doesn't make the most annoying sound known to man, the low-top shoes, and something I'm forgetting...

I want to sit in a box and manipulate a Homestar puppet. There would be holes in a cardboard box for me to see through, and there would be a blanket on top of the box so nobody would be able to see the eyeholes. And a hole would be cut through the top of the box and the blanket for the puppet.

Either that, or I could just be Blinky from Pac-Man

Facts as they were and are

There was nothing on the lens, no smudges or finger prints

This was the grave of a young boy and girl buried next to one another.Died at the same time.

    There weren't any visible vapors

I did not see this with my own eyes but before taking it I asked for "it" to appear to tell it's mother where it was at.

    This is not photoshoped

Here is the original photo untouched...
    boyatgrave.jpg

It's still in the image but as opposed to my LCD camera screen I can't see much of anything on my PC until brightening the image.

I can't prove that it is or isn't a ghost, I DO KNOW the weather at the time and I can answer questions open minded if you ask them open minded.

This is the only interesting photo I have a round right now but I do have others.

That looks like a girl in a ballet uniform turned on her side. That's funny.

Moon Ville Tunnel in Ohio, there's an old legend of a woman and a baby. Died from some sort of aliment or something, I don't remember the legend and I didn't even know it before going there. I saw this woman pass in front of our camp fire that we had going in our camp, which was a few 100 feet away from the tunnels, we camped in a tent near by.

The tunnel goes through a ghost town, as in abandoned and in ruins, not haunted out right. I'm the only one that sees these things in my family, we were sitting there at our camp site a few 100 feet away and across the fire pit, just like a normal person comes a woman in a old dress, holding a baby. "hush now..." as the baby cried in pain. She crossed in front of me, from the direction of the cemetery which was to the far left of our camp sight about 200 feet way. We had been up there earlier and I've had the ability to arouse spirits before so when I saw her at the fire I was for the first time, one of the few times actually calmThe babies crying and her gentle voice didn't make me jump, it was soothing in some way, I could feel her love for the baby. Full body apparition... I did not achieve this until several ghosts later.

Later I found out that there was in fact a baby buried there, up at the cemetery I hadn't read the tombstones I was shooting for ghosts not reading for history,I had no idea who or what was in that cemetery. I had no idea of the legends there and later I found out that a legend of this occurring was on a web site, the legend of this woman and the baby, I saw a comment made by a anonymous poster that I could never track down who said he had recorded the sound of a baby crying in the same location on his video camera but that he had no visual evidence.

Later I check the photos of the tunnel I had taken and extra figures are present in the digital camera images. People who shouldn't have been there, some looked like they had old dresses on. I also have a photo with something that looks like a train but the quality of theses images is very poor and I wouldn't present them as evidence. The photos are crap but the rest of the experience was rather...additional and things added up in a strange way.

this as we can make out is the image of a little girl, standing next to a tree..of some sort, also this was taking after our friend had said." We are not here to harm or ridicule, we would like for you to appear in our pictures, and give us some evidence, you are here with us tonight.

    Attachment not found.

this one, as we can figure an ecto plasmic mist, there was no fog, it wasn't breath and or smoke from a cigarette if you look into it, you can sort of see a humanoid apperition starting to form. ( I'm on man standing next to the girl.)

You forgot to mention it wasn't your car, or a sewer, or a geyser lol people will claim it's one of those often.

COOL, I'll have to dig through stuff and see if I can come with more. It's hard for me to see an manifestion in alot of those but their rather cool. I gotta post some of my ectoplasms, I got full whites and ear shapes and what not. Though the images are interesting, did you feel cold spots?

So, do you have any cool stories!? :D

Well I do have a couple stories

first one takes place in san diego, old town area. Near the whaley house.

Me and my girlfriend at the time, were justing hanging out and I for some reason found a brochure for a ghost tour.( I'm not real big on them, but the Gf was.) So we take this ghost tour, the guy who's leading the tour, just starts rambling off about weird and spooky stuff thats supposedly happening. So we stop at this cemetary wich was built in the 1830's(guessing.) So we stop, I'm about to step out on the sidewalk to smoke a cigarette, I feel somthing cold brush against my neck, I freak a little jump and what not, so I turn around, and whip out my cellphone, not my cellphone was dying, and I grab it, and while I'm recording, I see this black shape through my phone just kind of crossing it's arm. I tell my gf to take pic, and when I looked back on my phone the image was gone and my phone was dead.( It was halfway charged, and this was only fifteen minutes into the tour.)

Another story, I have takes place in my home town in Illinois where those photos were taken.

Me and my friend walking into this clearing in the woods. So I sit down, because I need a break, were walking for at least 30 minutes while I may not be fat, I have bad knees. So were talking and what not resting, my buddy was just kind of staring off into the woods. I was like what? What the Hell are you doing? He just kind of points in the direction, so this is what I saw, we saw this orb just kind of moving through the trees, it would go from one end to another for maybe about thirty seconds, and then it just kind of disappeared. my buddy has the picture somewhere, I'll have to try and have him find it so I can post it, but those are really two of the greatest stories I have.

Everyone loves to tell their own ghost stories because they think their insane and need to talk about it, I'll refrain from some of mine for now. It's strange isn't it? How charged batteries and cameras and phones did out in those places supposbly haunted, what's stranger is that some people don't find that strange whatsoever. Happens to me too.

I've never seen these things through film before, that's quite exciting, I've see them with my eyes but it's dabateble the state I was in, no nothing like that, I was just tired and relaxed when I saw some of the things I have.

See it in the camera must be spooky, I know you're obsessed because I am too.

I only get obsessive with a few things, and ghost hunting is one of them. I really want to find answers to see if there is in fact a beyond. That is my reasoning for it.
