Boom! Are your dreams crushed? Can you no longer see the light at the end of the tunnel? Is your view becoming blurred with despair? Do you feel the need to 'give up'? MUAHAHAHAHAHA -cough cough-!

Now are you just referencing TVTropes or do you actually know enough about Gargoyles to truly comprehend that reference? I will quiz you, you know.

Yes and yes. And I'll be asking the questions! Name the two actors who voiced Puck and Owen and respectively, and explain (in spoilers) how the two characters were connected.

Actually, the wind here was so strong it caused damage to the Bay Bridge and necessitated its closing. Luckily no one was killed. I'm glad it's nice where you are though!

How appropriate, you fight like a cow!

(What? "Embarrassing" has no direct rhyming counterpart! :p)

(Hey, I'm not very good at these, It's a small step up from just saying, Yaw Momma!).

The answer to the Garyoles questoion is
Brent Spiner who played Data in star trek the next generation and Jeff Bennet who also played candle jack in freakazoid

No, no, no, Icedhope. The spoiler is the connection between Owen and Puck. The VAs can be left unspoilered, so I shall. As Icedhope said, Puck was voiced by Brent Spiner and Owen was voiced by Jeff "I was half of the Gargoyles voices" Bennett. Seriously, Bennett is prolific and not just in that one show.

    As to the spoileriffic connection,
Owen Burnett is the human form taken by Puck
. If you want more specific details than that, just ask. As a little extra, did you know Owen's last name was a tribute to Alan Burnett, the producer of Batman: The Animated Series (among many other DC productions).

Now for my question...something a little vague and possibly debatable. Who became the second-in-command of the Avalon Clan after Angela left the island with Goliath, Elisa, and Bronx?

Well done, Brainiacamus! You need not elucidate further, unless you want to of course. And I did not know that about Alan Burnett, so thanks for telling me actually :)

Shoot, you've got me with this one. Off the top of my head I couldn't even name another member of the Avalon clan besides Angela, so I guess I don't get to ask my next question. It was a good one to, what connection was there between Star Trek:The Next Generation and Gargoyles ...

Wasn't the Guy who played "Worf" Michael Dorn one of the voice actors? I loved that cartoon but I don't remember much of it.

    So... Much... Nerdiness! :p
  • edited October 2009
Here's a drinking game, look at the cast and every time you see an actor who's not know primarily as a voice actor, take a swig, two if they were a regular on Star Trek.

    Edit:
If you think we're being nerdy now, wait 'til we start discussing the mythological and literary influences of the show.

Let's begin by pointing out all the Shakespeare references! First up, Demona's name is meant to imply she's an evil and possessed character, but is also a nod to Desdemona from "Othello".
Oberon, Titania and Puck are from "A Midsummer's Night Dream".
Macbeth is from some play ... I can't remember the name off the top of my head.

I'd Probably DIE before making it through that whole list. Go in halfs on the alcohol and you got yourself a Date Lena_p.

Easier there. Nobody likes a drunk Trekkie. Or is it Trekky. Or Treky? Or Trekie? Or Trekkee? How 'bout Trekey? Hmmm...

Sadly, I'm a teetotaler. Alcohol tends to make me shy and serious so I avoid it all costs.

    Edit:
Daughter of an S.F. fan actually. Don't call it Sci-Fi or my mom will look at you very disapprovingly.

Aww, Darn. I'm still going over that list and it looks like there are ALOT of good actors alot of them are in shows I really liked. I'm watch Earth 2 right now and I've seen like 2 or 3 people that are in that in this list too.

The only good Science Fiction is Fahrenheit 451. And that doesn't even deserve to be in that category.

Seriously, even Max Headroom (Matt Frewer) was a regular guest star :)

Um, excuse me? What about The Moon is a Harsh Mistress or Stranger in a Strange Land or the work of Theodore Sturgeon?
