I think it could happen too, and if it did then I trust Telltale to make it great. True, technically it'd be Maniac Mansion 3, and technically
the events in DOTT never happened, as they undid it all through time travel. Despite they still had memories of it all in the epilogue!
But a Maniac Mansion series - one that is especially faithful to DOTT - seems ideal for the company. Heck, I'd pre-order the second I could, I know that much!
That said, I'll also support the release of Sam and Max season 3 - something I'm fairly sure will happen someday.
Grim Fandango would be epic. But then again, it's one-of-a-kind. Considering the Maniac Mansion/DoTT series' flaws, that'd be more of an obvious choice, of course.
I did enjoy that game (when playing it without voice-overs!). Though I'm not sure if it should have a sequel. 'Tis a possibility though, if they can find somewhere to go with it.

I wasn't all that serious. Although I loved the game (even with voice-overs, they were hilarious) I doubt it would do good with a sequel.
Gentlemen (and ladies), some Saturday Night wisdom: Telltale is like a fine lady at a club in the evening. You can't just ask her flat out what her next game will be. You use finesse. You spend time with her, let her know "Oh, that's so interesting: Go on about Monkey Island. And you used to do Strong Bad, you say?" Let her know that you will appreciate her--after the next game is announced, you won't just be anticipating further announcements; you'll respect it and enjoy it for what it's worth.
I don't know, you can take or leave this advice, keep badgering and see what comes out of it. But a watched pot never boils as sure as a constantly questioned Telltale won't let you in on her next move.
...so that's what the Telltale Forums get for being in my recent history on a Saturday Night between plans. And now you know...*ahem*
Hehe, no matter what other games Telltale make I'm certainly not giving up on Sam and Max! I reckon they'll go back to it someday, even if it isn't necessarily the next one.

TT remake FotAQ then a couple of sequels.
They don't have to be episodic.
PS3/PSN version is much appreciated.
Want.
