Thanks for the walkthrough Mrs. Puzzlebox! You just forgot a little something.
You need to talk to Kauff at the end and eliminate all answers, then to Gustav and eliminate every possible choice, THEN again to Kauff, again with Gustav and THAT should do it
Thanks for playing it guys!
@Lena, did you manage to make it work? Here's a small tip:
There is a "config" document in the folder. Open it and change the value of Fullscreen=yes to Fullscreen=no. Save it, close it, and run the game. It should run in a window now, hopefully it will not consume so many resources this time, and you will be able to SEE it work. Same goes for anyone who said that he/she just sees a black screen with no action.
I fully tested the game on an old PC, with 512 RAM and a very old video card, it worked fine. Try that and see if it works. If not, go to your best friend that has a PC.
We didn't test in on a tablet PC sooo... maybe it's not powerful enough? Who knows... Let us know if it worked! As I read from your comments you did manage to start it, right?
EDIT: Someone (Trica) from the forum said that it was a firewall problem. Maybe turning the firewall off might help. But do it as a last resort. DON'T sue us if you catch a virus or something
Okay, I'm not finished, but even with the bugs, I love it. I'm actually surprised that it's as good as it is considering the amount of time you guys had! It's not only wonderfully nostalgic, watching you guys move around remind me of Toonstruck and DotT at the same time ^_^, but it's actually fun and funny on its own. I think even my non-adventure gamer, heck, my non-gamer friends, will enjoy it!

That would be news to me o.O
Possible that some software conflicts with the game, but its highly impossible that it connects to the internet. At least from what I know... (and i didn't built in any sorts of internet voodoo things).

Apparently my tablet is powerful enough; I have to run the program through Task Manager for some reason. Suro advised me to turn fullscreen off, but when I did that it made the right side of the game screen disappear. Interestingly enough, the game has to be running on full screen, then I have to switch my display settings back to high for me the see the right part of the screen. I think the problem is my tablet is set up to change resolution when the display is rotated, orienting the screen from landscape to portrait. I don't see how else the game can be effecting the resolution of my monitor otherwise. I'm going to try running it on my desktop later and see how that works out. Again, you guys are amazing!
Edit: Ah! I just noticed the secret Telltale Games Logo! ^_^ Nice touch.
Well, I downloaded and finished it! The ending actually got me to laugh out loud. Not chuckle, laugh. That takes some skill. The whole game was fun. But what if you win the Grand Prize? One console, four people... and... FIGHT! But if you get Honorable Mention, you can split that stuff up.

Fixed! I'm very bad at remembering stuff that happened more than an hour ago
Woooooow.
You guys are awesome and shall be awesome forever and if you decide to stop making awesome things expect someone to come kidnap you and lock you up until you start doing awesome things again.
*deep breath*
Great puzzles. Some bugs that have already been mentioned but it's still quite fantastic with the time limit you had. The only.. thing I had a problem with was having to double click to interact with things. Otherwise, very well done, guys. You all were superb. (Special mention to Majus' walk. I chuckled everytime he 'scooted' across the room.)

Oh, Weeblerjake, the whole idea of the contest was not to win something, but to create a nice fan tribute to the >.>
<.<
...hm... well, in case we win, we already decided on a duel to the death for the Grand Prize. ^.^
Hmm. We decided in that unlikely case we would sell the thing on ebay and donate the profit to....um...okay to use it to invite all the 13 persons involved to a restaurant - but after having seen this one I don`t think we have to worry about that any more.
Great idea guys! Unbelieveavle you did this in only 2 weeks!
Congrats!
Uhhh..i liked it! i finished it now and it was totally AWESOME! and speical the "press p" thing:D
*the probably hiding a cow*
(no i din´t figured it out for myself:P)
Unfortunately, even in window format, the right side is gone.
-tear-
Now how will I ever get distracted from my college apps?!
I'm only fishing here, but someone said that maybe other Java applications are causing problems.
I'm sorry that I can't be more of a help, but right now we are wondering ourself whats happening
It's been almost two years aaand Majus and I think you guys might want to know some Behind-the-Scenes stuff.
I've also noticed some people talking about fangames, how to make them, where to join teams... if you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Besides, I wanted to share this with our newest forum members as well.
There are two brilliant programs that I know about. One of the is Adventure Games Studio developed by Chris Jones. This is what I'm using for the Kauff and Gustav game.
A few years back it was a bit difficult to get the hang of it, but now everything is much simpler with the newest versions.
You can check out tutorials right here, on the TTG forums.
The second program that I know about is called Visionaire Studio.
It is the one Suro used to make the Halloween Contest Game.
It depends on your preference. I recommend trying out both and see what happens. Which one you will like most... is up to you.
Both programs have forums where you can ask any questions not covered in their manuals.
2. Where to join teams.
The AGS forums have a huge section of games-in-production where people ask for musicians, artists, voice actors etc etc.
However, keep in mind that 80% of those games never see the light of day, for various reasons. I joined some teams where the communication lacked, kept me constantly in the dark. Other teams were very talkative and we had daily updates... the suddenly quiet. Forever. o.O
Now I'm in a team that, thank God, posts daily updates and keeps us on our toes. The progress is slow, but constant.
Making a fangame is a LOT of hard work. You either find an awesome team to help you out, or you have nerves of steel and you're crazy enough to make it on your own.
Either way, the satisfaction of seeing your own character move around the screen is brilliant!

Of course...

Thanks for all the help!

I'm sorry, I don't trust it.

But if you just download from them it should be fine, right? It's only the linked sites that were the problem.
You've got a point...
Oh well, that's what Nortan's for I guess.
*Crosses fingers*
The press P to dance one?
yeah... I figured that not many discovered that
*the probably hiding a cow*
(no i din´t figured it out for myself:P)
are there some more eastereggs?
I definitely want to play the game, but the right side of the screen seems to have been kidnapped...
That is actually a bug we still hunt..
Did you try playing the game in windowed mode? So far I only heard that this happened in fullscreen.
To do so you have to edit the config file in the folder.
Just change the "yes" at Fullscreen to "no".
Hope this helps and sorry for the inconvenience.
