Am I the only one here who - gasp - doesn't like Sam & Max?

Wait, you were hungry? Why didn't somebody buy your popcorn or something? And why did they take a five year old to an "R" rated film?

Well, it broadcasted on TV. Most people watched their movies on TV those days.

My country is a little laidback when it comes to rated movies also.

I didn't enjoy Hit the Road that much but after Tales I bought localized DVD (I hate localized Star Wars and can't imagine localized Monkey Island with anybody other than Dom, but they did good job with Sam and Max Season 1) and enjoyed TellTale game much more than LucasArt's one.
Surely will buy seasons 2 and 3. TellTale made me like Sam and Max.

Things differ between Save the World and Hit the Road... Oh well. I think Save the World's story is much more developed and ironically, much more bizarre. Jokes are funnier, supporting cast is much much more apparent. Only thing I didn't like in Save the World (also in Beyond Time and Space) is that no puzzles requiring combining items. Hit the Road was hard, so it promises a big challenge that some may like.

I too believe Save the World is the superior one. Though, apart from those, they be the same Sam and Max so it's not like I can easily say I hated Hit the Road.

I think Hit the Road had a stronger emphasis on jokes, while the Telltale games had more characterisation in addition to the jokes. I prefer the characterisation, personally.

I love them both. Hit the road has a little more love because it's the first time I was introduced to Sam&Max.

It's not my favorite, but it has its positive moments. I am somewhat indifferent to it. My major problem with it is really the lack of story cohesion. I wish it had an arc more like TMI.

    That's a nice observation.

I didn't really like the cast in Hit the Road, except Sam and Max of course. Bigfoots just irritated me. Telltale games have more likable characters that are used for even more jokes. In Hit the Road the duo was the center of all the humor, maybe I didn't like it because of that. They were awesome, but everything besides them was... kinda dull. In Telltale games I more felt like their entire planet was hilarious and they are just citizens of this wacky world.
