Me neither. I'd at least want SOMETHING in return!:p

I only regularly go on this and one other forum (which is a small one used mainly by fans of Middlesbrough FC, and I know a fair number of people on there in 'real life' too) and I think the main reason for that is that they're both got a lot of fun people who post interesting stuff and they're fairly open to most kinds of topics. Of course, the fact that Telltale make great games is another crucial factor! I may not post much (that's just an extension of my normal quiet self anyway, and besides I don't really know what to say with regards to some threads!) but this place is a cracking read.

I've been too busy to keep up the past week or so, but you guys really rock. The fact that I'm not having to keep an eye on things AND have interesting stuff to read when I get back is totally the best. You guys are one of the best parts of the job. No kidding!

D'aww. We love you too. And I mean that in a totally not creepy, not like Avistew and Yare kind of way.

I used to frequent an Indiana Jones forum - but things have seriously quietened down over there for obvious reasons.

Anyway, they are very strict over there. They remove posts, ban regulars, all when things get even a little heated, almost never allow new topics (they insist on putting everything that's even remotely connected in the same, 900 page thread!), their administrators often come over as omniscient higher beings ...

It's rarely fun to go there, but for a long time it was the only place to get new info.

I love Telltale and this forum. I visit a Dean Koontz forum and the one over at Adventure Gamers. They take up a lot of my internet time but I've never felt that time has ever been wasted.

    Beware the Voodoo dolls!

And I love you too Will, except doing that in a creppy way is going to waste all my money. That, and I totally fail at drawing people, really.

I couldn't think of a better thread to post this in, so here goes.

Last night I had this weird dream. I don't remember much of it, but what I do remember is that I ended up on a road trip with two friends and a faceless stranger, and I ended up at the Telltale offices. I met Nikki and two faceless Telltale employees, and I stayed for about two minutes and then left.

I'm starting to worry about myself.

Seriously, what other forum could you find Avistew showing off her boobs on without getting banned?

I still don't understand why you folk are making such a big deal out of that. They were for artistic reference. Ya'll can't be that desperate, right?

Artistic value may have been the intent, but any person who is in any way attracted to women and has normally-functioning hormones can see the value in such a post for more than just art. I point out though that not only did she post pics without getting banned or thread-locked, but the thread itself was split from somewhere else and renamed with Boobs as the first word in the title by a mod. That says something about Telltale's awesome.

    Hey guys!

I was skipping through a game forum, very big fanbase, huuuuge forum, and I noticed an announcement from the staff (I'll just paste here the short important things):

(...) If your idea for a thread has no basis for rational discussion, don't post it.

Furthermore, to EVERYONE who responds to any thread in this section, stop and think "Is this spam? Is this purely a joke post?" If the answer is yes, then don't post. This forum is not being paid for by
to provide practice for your burgeoning aspirations of being a comedian.

What do you guys think? I know that certain places have certain rules...but being serious on a GAME forum?! C'mooooon!

    umm...

^ Why on earth would you hang out on a forum about Silent Hill?
Hanging out here and having discussions with people about Monkey Island, Sam & Max, artistic boobs and types of cheese would seem to be a much better idea.

You know, I'm pretty sure the average age of the posters on this forum is slightly higher than a lot of other forums. Hence why it's a friendly and more mature forum.

We're all adults and know better than to post offensive stuff. Well, mostly - there are exceptions to the rule, but they're very rare.

Yeah, or at least I feel in that way. I feel like one of the less mature ones, at least compared to other forums where I was practically the oldest.

I wouldn't mind hanging out on a Silent Hill forum ... Does that make me weird?

I also had a dream, but I can't remember the details, only that the name Mark Darin has stayed with me ever since ...

I'm not sure who should be more creeped out that we're dreaming about the Telltale employees, us or the Telltale employees.

I used to post in several forums (and mod the Games forum) at theforce.net. But now the userbase is about 10 years older, less exciteable youngsters are joining now the movies are over, and the vibe at the main non-Star Wars board there is really cool. Most people there don't give a crap about Star Wars any more. That's the board I post at there 99% of the time. It's similar to this one in many ways.

Here is a list of the best threads there as voted by the users.

This is a great example of the tone there (and the awesome mocking of those who miss the joke).

Wait, it's supposed to be creepy? I've had dreams about them, they weren't creepy... to me.
I'm sure some of them dream of the forums at night too. It's probably nightmares though.
  • edited May 2010
Yes, nightmares are what happens when you stick pins in Yare's voodoo doll's head while he's sleeping.

Oh god, I've been to that forum... while I love reading through the interpretations and whatnot, the moderation staff are a nightmare. Not overly unfair, just always in "srs bsns" mode.

I love watching the naruto anime. I signed myself on the forum of Leafninja.com And booooyyyy are they strict. The site is a fan site of Naruto, but the users theres are haters, they trash the anime and say negative stuff about it, yet they all still follow the anime and their comic (manga) in japan. The mods think themselves as gods and bend the rules to their own reason. The new threads i made about something where closed only one survived the rules, and threads involving in any aspect a character would have to be made in the characters thread and included as a topic. Extremely weird and strict forum for teeens cartoon!
