You might want to wait until most people are done with 302, or less people will show up!

I think I heard somewhere that SnagIt can capture videos. At least I think it can capture youtube videos. But that probably wouldn't help with what you're trying to do.

I think Photoshop has a good video catcher, but I have yet to look into it.

Yeah, I was thinking about that. That's why I said Friday: I can do it (I'm about to enter, again! to exams) and, if I wait to my exams to be over, "They stole Max's Brain!" will show up. This thing is going to be beta anyway, soooooo, if three people show up, I don't mind

I tried once. Always frustrate me the thing can only export to .swf, and if I want to upload that to YouTube it's not that convenient.

Really? I'll see it... as soon I finish with "The Tomb of Sammun Mak"!

Here's my laptop. I regularly clean the desktop of stuff since, when I download files, I usually save them to my desktop for easy access at first.

For anyone who cares [...] this is XP, not Vista or 7. I used a skin that merely replaced the system files that xp uses to display menus and icons and uses zero memory in doing so. I hate memory hogs like WindowBlinds.

Here is my desktop PC, which is Windows 7 (64bit). I have the wallpaper cycle between various images. Here are a few of them.

Quite a number of screenshots I post show the "Tales of" banner through a title bar, which means the wallpaper was currently this one:

I want to tune in to that live stream! But I would need to be told the time in GMT +8, or I have no clue.

I have the same one as your second, so no need for me to post mine as you have done it for me :p

Anyway, Do anybody knows any program to record the screen which is not the camstasia studio?
VirtualDub can record the screen, among other things, although I can't really vouch for it since I use VirtualDub mainly for testing/encoding AviSynth scripts...

    First Try!

    You will discover that:

1- I'm not that good at explaining stuff
and 2- There's a good part of the things I do I have no idea why!

I did a translation and edit of the comic to Spanish, but not say that too loud!

Wow, I really like the way you're drawing that. Are you drawing it using a mouse or a computer pen?

This is from the Telltale Cribs Thread. The part of the Mug was because the mug originally was in the Kitchen when I took the photo =P

    Okay, I'll bite.

I used to use the concept art of the graveyard, but a while after chapter 5 came out, I decided to switch for the warmer colors in this one. If I had a second monitor, I would have the graveyard on it.

How can you possibly keep track of what is on your desktop in all that mess?
  • edited May 2010
Eh, it's not so bad. The stuff on the left (mostly) actually belongs on the desktop, and the stuff on the right is grouped (sort of) according to where I'm supposed to move it to, except that I haven't yet. And if I can't find something by visual scanning, I just hit the first letter of what I'm looking for until it gets highlighted.

Anyway, I finally got my laptop out and took a screenshot. Then I decided to change my wallpaper and took another.

    Before:

    After:

On the one hand, the concept art makes an amazing background, but on the other, I feel bad for covering up Ryan's art with so many icons.

Also, now my desktop and my laptop look awesome next to each other.

Background is Avatar-related. (as I mentioned in another thread, I'm on a huge Avatar kick... as in, the way a Trekkie is on a Star Trek kick... "obsessed", one could say)

    Define "Trekkie."

I'm a big Trek fan (mostly everything that's not the TOS TV series,) but I wouldn't say that I'm obsessed.

I mean, I've seen every episode from TOS at least once, every movie and TNG/DS9/VOY/ENT episode possibly several times, and will watch it if it's on TV (except TOS) but I've never been to a convention, dressed up in any Trek costume, nor joined any local Trek fan club.

hmm... I only have 2 Trek related wallpapers in my stuff though. odd.

I love your icons, how'd you change them like that and is The Devil's Playhouse one a folder with a changed icon? And if so, can you teach me how to do that?
  • edited May 2010
basically, i made a devil's playhouse bade and a penal zone and sammun mak badge icon and changed the icons. all the ones on the left side that are telltale titles are just empty folders; because I forgot where the icons are stored and I don't want to lose them, except for the bone games, and the devil's playhouse folder contains tomb of sammun mak, which im hiding in there because I'm not supposed to have it until after exams (ssh!) or my laptop gets taken off of me.

Hahaha! Don't you know that...er... Pebbles sucks?
Wait, was it "Peddle"? What the hell is it anyways?

(Looks nice. I like how you put the Telltale icons on the right. Kinda like Highway did, actually, were you inspired or is it a coincidence?)
  • edited May 2010
it's "Peggle" and its pretty fun. its by, i think, popcap, and you basically shoot 9 balls at pegs and try to remove all the red ones. it's actually 90% skill and 10% luck, not the other way round, random-guy-who-said-this-on-guru's-deviantart!

And, guru's desktop looks so much better now!

Oh, I was inspired all right. I owe it all to Highway. The only problem is I need to get shortcuts for Season 1 on my desktop and individual ones for Season 2, plus I haven't installed SBCG4AP yet, so it's a little sparse right now.

Also, I love how the concept art conveniently had a dark corner that was perfect for me to use, until Telltale's games outgrow it.

:D now i *inspire* you to download all the demos of every game to fill up the space!
  • edited May 2010
Nice try, but I already own everything but Wallace and Gromit 1, 2, and 4, Bone, and Texas Hold 'Em, and I'm just fine holding off on those for now. I just need to install and create shortcuts for what I have.

Plus, I never installed the downloaded episodes from Season 2, since I got my DVDs before I finished Season 1.

Oh, and I haven't bought Puzzle Agent yet, and I didn't count the CSI games.
  • edited May 2010
It does look fun. (And I was trying to be funny, not insulting. Just in case it wasn't obvious).
