I don't mind letting people have sigs to link to their homepage, put in a favorite quote, or whatever, but it really irks me when a person's signature occupies more than 50% of their post's real estate.
Huh. I feel the need to accumulate 600 posts quickly and get on that top 10 list and increase my own personal shame.
Meh, I'll be there soon enough at the rate I've been posting. Hell, I'd probably be there already if it wasn't for all the "screw it" posts that never made it to the send button.
Haha, I know, my first reaction was "oh, no, if I hadn't changed my mind on posting some stuff, if I hadn't kept deleting some older posts, I'd have a higher count!". Weird how you can think stuff you disagree with yourself.
Anyway, back on topic, I do not think post count matters. I read most of the threads in the Sam and Max and Tales of Monkey Island forums, and some threads in this forum, but I only post in some... sometimes, like other people who have posted here, I write a post, but then don't hit the Send button.
i've written so many posts and then thought "that sounds stupid" or "this might offend someone" and cancelled it. but then again, probably about 17% of my posts are embarrassing or stupid posts.
I'll usually just post if I think I have something to say, even if it doesn't contribute much to the overall discussion. I usually just throw whatever I have to say out there and every now and then I'll get quoted and think 'yes, I officially contributed in some manner!'.
Edit: Also, I hate smiley cats, or caption kittens or whatever the hell you call 'em.
I'm disappointed, I can't find my favourite picture of his, where he's hugging his pillow and saying "Thank you, Mr. Pillow, for making my sleep so snuggly."
Awwww! We have this ad in australia for a washing thing called cuddly, and it has these little kids in rugs and beds, and then this one kid goes "Thank you for making everything cuggley" its sooooooo cute

I'm not allowed to view that video in my country because it's from Channel 4. Even thought Channel 4 is a British company... and I'm from Britain... ¬¬
Dammit. My childhood was pretty much based in not say anything at all because I was thinking about it too much and then always think later about I must been said samething.
Same here. Although not just childhood.
And when saying something after all, I usually worried everyone hating me (only to notice no one gave a **** the day after).

"Social" sucks...
Tell me about it! there are things that still make me cringe that the person had forgotten the very next day. I take things too much to heart sometimes.
It's much easier on the Internet, though.
I usually have at least one cringe-worthy embarassing moment each week. They're things that people wouldn't have taken any notice of, usually.
Last friday, for example, (this isn't so much something I said as something I did), I got a text from my friend asking if I wanted to go over to his house and get a curry later. He said that he wasn't sure if it was happening or not yet so he'd text me later to let me know whether to come round. Anyway, I was in a class with a girl who lives right next to him, so I thought I might as well walk up with her, he's probably gonna tell me to come round anyway, I thought.
So I walked with her for about two miles to his house, and just as I was about five minutes away I got a text saying he wasn't in and not to come round, so I had to walk all the way back (4 miles to walk back, so 6 in total).
The thing is, when I was walking up with this girl, I said to her something like "at least you don't have to walk alone", which means that there's a possibility she thinks I walked all that way just to be with her... I feel like a stalker Avistew.
She's a pretty good friend so she probably won't think that, but still... this is one of those things that makes me cringe to think about

Same! I used to worry about every little thing I said, and it was exhausting, so now I really try to realize that 9 times out of 10, no one really cares, they're much more concerned with what they said, usually.
And vice versa, something that I might take the wrong way, the other person didn't even think about it like that, most of the time.

Not at all, if anything it is a courteous gentlemanly act. She probably just thought it was cute, definitely nothing to regret.
This whole thing reminds me of walking back with a friend, and when we reached her place we wouldn't feel like going yet, so we'd walk to mine while talking, then to hers again several time until it finally got too late. We lived about half an hour from each other so we sometimes ended up doing a lot of walking, like 3 or four hours
I agree. Also she was probably happy to have the company on an otherwise monotonous, long walk.
Did I mention I accidentally punched her in the face and insulted her family while filling her backpack with jam, ruining all her work? Yeah... it was pretty awkward.

A few years ago at my old school, I always used to walk home with my best friend and at the point where we had to turn off in opposite directions, we'd always just stand there and carry on talking for a bit before going. Sometimes we'd stay for ages. Once we stayed there, talking, until it got dark... everyone else walking home in the same direction would just walk past us.
Now that guy lives miles away and I'm not in contact with him. *cue sad music*

Sounds like you've been busy. How did all that happen?
I have a *bit* of Asperger Syndrome, which is pretty much have scenic fear. And problems talking with people I don't know. But that's get some treatement by doing a Theatre Course and moving to a place I don't know anyone so I'm *forced* to talk with someone I don't know always. (Partially that's why I want to go to another country to live. That's a shock treatement to the fullest ^^!) That's makes wonders to anyone.
Careful with that Going to another country made me go from "would rather play games at home with friends than hang out in bars, but does go out from time to time" to "barely leaves the house".
It can be a shock treatment but not always in the right direction Granted, these isn't really anything to do here so I have an excuse, but still.

At least you don't have a signature... that's worth something. I propose amnesty for Rather Dashing!
What about really, really small signatures???

I give you bragging right to my spot in the top ten if you stop posting pictures of sad cats.

Awww, that looks like Chubby Huggs

I believe the phrase you're after is "gut-wrenchingly revolting".
I HATE that ad.
Here's another one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DvlWQyvEI38
We should just make a thread where people post the best and worst ads from their countries...
D'AWWW! The robe one is adorable
I mean, uh, this is just gross
But since we're putting ads here too, I like this one, even though it's for cars.
Doesn't hurt that they used Polnareff.
Oh, that reminds me of the "Pythagoras Switch" videos. I used to love these.
You've just passed 3000 posts! How does it feel?
Well, it feels like I've missed that one too xD
One day, I will know which post I made happened to be a round number! One day!

Atleast I can pretend you're all AI's or something instead of actual humans .

Interesting.
I just pretend everyone has the hots for me Makes me feel all happy and confident lol

At least you are not Clinically Stupid. Thanks godness I was raised with the philosophy of "Never give up unless it's broke you"

That's what you finc.

Also, I get the impression Fealiks was just foolin' with us with his "additional walk info"...
Are you?

I'm only kidding, I went to Canada once and it was a very beautiful place.
