What I heard from what I saw (before getting ticked at buffering) was basically, Nintendo made this work better now we are trying to compete.

Though the heroes on the move thing is a maybe, Playstation move still looks dumb

I didn't watch it, as i was planning on doing revision. But then things started popping up. I flicked through a live blog, and the Valve/Sony alliance was a surprise. And that twisted metal thing (i caught the video) looked amazing.

Darn it! You've made me yawn now!

Anyway, given that most of the games in the 3DS trailer have been show now, do we reckon there will be a Donkey Kong one?

Just finished the conference online. Wow A kingdom hearts 3Ds game. I am a huge fan of the series and that will be cool.
Also mario mixed sports? What no mario galaxy 3?(I know there defenently wont be a third)
and a wii motion plus zelda, SWEET(as long as there isnt a wireless interuption:p)

I actually yawned too! That reflex is so weird, I didn't realise it also worked in writing.

If I could do one thing it would be to make the perfect robotic-human-looking girlfriends like in that really crap movie, and go back in time and dispense them free of charge shortly after the last Star Wars was released to ensure it never gained such a cult status, thus ridding LA of its endless spray of slurry based on a handful of relatively watchable films.

Edit I yawned too. I don't get why we need CERN and all that, when mysteries of yawning are still unsolved! :)

It's not clear from this post if you know about it, so...
There is another Paper Mario game, which is for the Nintendo 64. I don't know if you have access to a Nintendo 64 but it's definitely a nice game. Different partners and story from TTYD while there are obvious similarities of course. I'd definitely recommend it if you have a way to play it.

    Oh yeah I've played it! Love it too! Downloaded it on virtual console and it was great! I suppose I just found TTYD really awesome and sorta forgot about it, my bad ^^;

I'm not really watching the Sony confrence, I mean I saw the Portal 2 part but seeing as I don't own a PS3 I guess I'm not all that bothered about it.

I'm super hyped for the Wii exclusive GoldenEye re-release.
  • edited June 2010
Zelda gameplay, Golden Sun gameplay vids, Donkey Kong Country Returns announced, Kirby Epic Yarn announced, I really can't say it's a terrible keynote at all. Especially with the many 3DS games announced, like Street Fighter or Nintendogs + Cats.
  • edited June 2010
I'm interested in Paper Mario, Kirby Yarn (never even played a Kirby game before, but this one just looks cool) and DK Country Return. And of course the next Zelda game but that's a given.

yeah, that was a pretty good presentation there.

They even sold me on the 3DS and I'm the resident skeptic.

but they did screw something up when they said to their knowledge no one has attempted 3d without glasses before. Remember the VirtualBoy, technically no glasses there
  • edited June 2010
Epic Mickey is looking a lot better than last time we saw it.

Yes, but they said "no one". They probably meant "no one else". Which is true.

Was I the only one who thought project sora was going to be a kingdom hearts game and not the second kid icerus.

Allow me to take some time out of the normally scheduled "Oh man Nintendo's conference was so great!" to say DYNAMIC LIGHTING!

    Third game.
  • edited June 2010
right, didn't know about the second one, thanks.

That said. ZOMG new enrichment centre!
  • edited June 2010
Old enrichment center. GLaDOS is just reworking it. With LIQUID PHYSICS!
  • edited June 2010
Oh my god, I didn't even notice the dynamic lighting!

Hopefully it wouldn't strain the PC CPU too much.

I'm very excited about Portal 2, but what is this fuss about dynamic lighting? Have we not had that feature for years?

The title is clever. "Yarn" is a colloquialism meaning "story," as in "a thrilling yarn." This is an epic yarn about epic yarn.

Yeah, that too. I really loved the title from the start. Means "epic tale", but at the same time I knew it was going to have something to do with yarn. I love that title.

There are a lot of games I am really looking forward to now.

Looked at that video, didn't like it. Guy swears too much like he thinks it's cool, of course maybe that's the feeling he's meant to be portraying?

He's portraying a character, like most popular web celebrities and Comedy Central newscasters. A really obnoxious, annoying character that I tend to ignore, but many people apparently find amusing. In this video, he's actually watchable and funny in bits, which is odd for his character. =P
  • edited June 2010
swearing is often the quickest and most effective way of expressing something. I didn't really get that guy at first, but he's certainly grown on me.
  • edited June 2010
He's portraying a Nerd who is stuck in the past and can't understand the video games of the future, because all he remembers is the NES, SNES, etc. So because he doesn't understand them, he finds everything he can to make fun of them. It's an act though. The real man, James Rolfe, is an incredibly informed man who knows more about movies, games, etc. than most people care to.

A lot of idiots watch the AVGN just to go "LOL he said t3h f werd ololololo" like complete morons, but at the heart of his videos, he's actually an incredible reviewer who actually has good points and sometimes will go to the heart of the game and the history behind it. His videos can be incredibly informative.

Uh ... who is it? :o I'm probably going to feel stupid for asking, but I honestly don't know. (At first I thought, "Woah! Ron Perlman lost a lot of weight :("and then realized he's not actually tall enough to be Ron.)
  • edited June 2010
I think it's meant to be Alan Sugar. (Correct me if I'm wrong). At first though, I thought it was my boss. (No, my boss isn't Alan Sugar, but there's a really strange likeness...)
