At various conventions, they would hand them out. Before, they would put up a password and only give them to people with the passwords, but that was too convoluted so they just had people ask what was the person's favorite monkey island moment to make sure that the people that got it were fans and not swag mongers.
I had a friend who got one, but then decided that he didn't want it, so he gave his extra one to me.
You might notice that my desk is getting messier and messier in my increasing desperation to finish and go to bed. But is that going to stop me from wasting time posting on the forums? Heck no!
And I know the eyeholes look horrible, but they're an unfortunate necessity.
Because double posting is impolite and against the forum rules. There's certain situations where it's okay, but they're few and far between. If you have the last post in a thread and want to add something, use the edit button.
Also, I meant use the edit button in the future rather than making multiple posts, not use the edit button now to change your last post.

I don't usually spend extra money to get versions of games or movies that have feelies when there is a cheaper version without.
That being said, I remember getting feelie maps, be they paper or cloth, when back in the day my parents bought games from such as the Ultima series and core Might & Magic series; these maps were really impressively well done. So, when I paid extra to get the Tales of Monkey Island Deluxe Edition, I was very disappointed with the quality of the included map (and even moreso with the DVD slip cover). The map looks like it was printed on a cloth restaurant napkin.

I had to go to PAX for that. It had a turkey leg sticking out of the wrist, which I went and ate in the Epic Mickey line at the Disney booth.
I went to PAX and didn't even get one!
I've since heard there were actually 2 kinds of those hands made, because one supplier couldn't handle the size of the order on their own. One kind is sorta squidgy (like a stress ball), the other is harder and made out of silicone or something.
Yeah, even being able to jump the line, it was hard to get them. When we met Job on Friday, it would've been pretty easy, if they hadn't been out, but it was a zoo on Saturday, and it was hard to catch the attention of anybody who knew who we were.

I thought it was that there was one batch made for E3 (the hard ones, I assume), then a second batch from a different supplier for PAX (the squishy ones, like I have).
Couldn't find the "Last Item You Purchased" thread, so I'll post this here:
Geekify Inc makes a Myst tablet cover, so I just got one for my Nexus 7. It's pretty sweet. I posted a clip on Vine because that seemed like the easiest way to show off the outside and the inside in one post on twitter

How did you get them, anyway? I heard that LucasArts eventually gave them out to a few people, but I never heard how.

I'd happily put mine up...if my Sonic 2 poster wasn't torn in half. I might frame it though.

And in the interest of keeping all of my feelies posted in one thread:

It is the Bob-omb Battlefield painting from Super Mario 64. And it is hilariously low-res. I love it.

It was.
Did you create this replica? If so, what materials did you use to create it? Because I want one for myself.
Major thanks to Puzzlebox and the Telltale team!
And, a thirded thanks to puzzlebox indeed. The hat's great.

Here's what it looked like with the turkey leg:

Mmm, tasty severed arms.
