Mh, so... I wasn't sure if I should say it here or in the other PAX thread (or at all, really), but just so you know, I'm still riding for 20 hours on a bus.
I'm just stopping at the border (or rather, close to the border, that is, Vancouver) and not crossing to the US.

I'll be arriving on Sunday at noon, so as you leave PAX, if you could wave in my direction or something... that would be nice :p

Wow, 20 hours...you're really willing to go the distance...
  • edited August 2010
I might be able to make it to this, being at PAX and all by myself. Though I hear at PAX... you're never alone....

Pax by yourself is quite intimidating and your welcome to join us, I'll add to you to the list, come and hang, and eat with us.

I would like to know who definit be attending by thurs, so I can give them a call and reserve seating for about 8.

I will be there with another person, so please add 2 for me. :) I might bring a third fan, but if I do, I will definitely let you know before Thursday.

Where should we meet? It'd probably be cool to meet somewhere around/inside the convention center and then walk down to the restaurant.

Do come if you can! I'm also flying solo, and would love to meet a fellow Aussie. :)

I'd really like to, where is this place we're going? Is it walking distance from PAX? Are there any dodgy parts of town I shouldn't walk through?

I'll be staying at the Hilton (better than it sounds I think).
  • edited August 2010
Seattle is a pretty safe city, so don't worry too much.

Where the con in and where the dinner is, is pretty much a straight shot

    these are the mapquest directions.

Oooh, that looks like a fair walk to get there...

It's a fair walk and it's about a mile away so I think it maybe a twenty minute walk or so.
  • edited August 2010
Sounds like a nice walk to do with friends. Just bring comfortable shoes. I'm gonna see if my friend wants to come.
  • edited August 2010
Someone needs to take a laptop to this dinner, especially if there is local Wi-Fi available, so there can be a virtual gathering at a real life one.

Seconding this from the wrong side of the country. :(

Allrighty, I'm calling the reservation today at like 6pm PST, so then we will be all set.

I would expect more people to show up than the 7 you've written down, though. How are you going to get a reservation without being sure who will be there?
I mean it's a con, you should probably expect to run into people who will want to join you and stuff like that.

Thank you for taking care of that. It's confirmed; it will be me and two other people, so please count three on my side.

I'm pretty definite to come as well. If the walk seems too daunting a cab might not be too expensive.

Thank you for taking care of that! I can't wait to see you guys. :) Now we need to decide where to meet. :)

Allright, we are going to meet right buy the telltale booth about 15 minutes prior to the expo hall closing and proceed to the pub.

Also you may take a cab or walk, it's all dependant on what you want to do.

See you guys in 4 days.

Also if you have any questions be sure to PM me.

Hmm, the expo hall closes at 6pm per their map. Are you planning on meeting at 5:45pm?

Let's say exact times so that nobody gets confused. :)

You should totally all wear the same colour so you're easily recognisable. Or maybe all wear shirts that say "I <3 FEALIKS". I vote the latter.

    LOL! :)

I think it should be fine, as long as we all agree on the time and place. :)

It says 7:00pm close on Friday. Also, I can't see a Telltale booth on the map, but I am notoriously bad at anything navigational.

I don't see them in the list either. Weird.

They decided not to bother when you announced you couldn't make it!

True, you are right. I don't know why I was looking at Saturday. Meeting at 6:45 sounds good.

I have also heard that Telltale does not have a booth this year. Can anybody confirm that they will be there? If not, we need to change our meeting spot. :)

OR they're hiding because they didn't realise I can't make it. The map with their booth on is only given to select people who have to swear an oath never to let me see it.

Ahh, maybe they're running it out of the DeLorean - it's mobile for a quick getaway!

Actually, this thing that says Telltale's bringing a DeLorean reckons it will be at booth #3509. Which is labelled as Lego Systems on the expo hall map. Which confuses me greatly. Which means I'm going to stop thinking now and just let other people figure it out for me.

Booth #3509! We got moved at the last minute or something, which is why it isn't on the map. Alternatively, you could meet at the Delorean, which I don't think is on the show floor (meaning you can meet there even after the floor is closed).

Telltale and LEGO. Can't get off of each other, can they?

unless someone flies me to pax, ill be there in spirit.

unless someone prints out a stickman and writes deadlinejon under it.
  • edited August 2010
I'll be there spiritually as well! What's on the menu I could make myself something like it to get the best out of it :D :D
  • edited August 2010
You guys can print this off and stick it in the center of the table. Or, y'know, not.

Unfortunataly, i can't be there either. So here's an updated version. Have fun.

Thank you! I'm capable of getting lost just trying to walk in a straight line, but it's helpful to have some kind of aim.

Guys, if we meet at the DeLorean, maybe we can borrow it to save walking. They're not going to need it when the expo is closed for the day, right?
