WOW! That Marty voice is great! Great casting choice, Telltale. Now, let's see if Wilson came aboard...

Shame Dominic Armato didn't play Marty though, lol. :P

EDIT: By the way, why are lines from the movie being used? "The bruise on your head. I know how that happened...", or was that the audition? But then the VA for Marty says "I get to say"WHAT THE HELL IS A GIGAWATT?" and they're like "Yeah, record that!"". Or was he just making a funny? Maybe I'm just looking too much into it, we know that this game is NOT a retelling of the movies after all.

The "bruise on your head line" was part of AJ's audition that he emailed to us. He recorded it on a Rock Band mic!

And "What the hell is a gigawatt!" is AJ's favorite Marty line :)

Well, Marty did ask what a Gigawatt was before, but Doc didn't answer, so... he might just ask again! :D

To be honest judging by the videos, I'd say A.J does Marty McFly more like Michael J Fox in the 80s then I'd say MJF would do right now anyway.

Very pleased with the casting choice telltale!

Ah, thanks Shauntron! Looking forward MASSIVELY to the game and any other surprises that might be coming...

It's nice to have some closure on the "Who will voice Marty?" issue. AJ sounds great. :)
  • edited October 2010
Dudes, you really have outdone yourselves! This guy is a great voice impersonator! Glad he is onboard, cause MJF doesn't sound like his oldself sadly. I think this is for the better.

I was thinking the same thing. AJ sounds exactly like 80s MJF, it's incredible. Great job by Telltale.

Agree completely with that Secret Fawful! ha

Well done Telltale, that "whoa!" A.J. does is classic Marty McFly!!!

Huzzah! For the love of all things BttF, this was a damn good choice. Damn damn good choice. :-)

Come on Tom "Biff" Wilson ... do itttttt !!!

Telltale needs to get AJ LoCascio and James Arnold Taylor in the studio at the same time, and record them having a voice-battle for our DVD bonus feature enjoyment
  • edited October 2010
LoCascio is a great choice. A young, new hero to start the series anew. :D

That in itself is the only reason I'm accepting, well of course they had to hire some one though.

Wow, what an amazing voice actor!

Also, need to put December 2nd in my diary.

I know they had to hire someone, but I'm amazed how close of a match they got. AJ makes James Arnold Taylor's impression of Marty look lame by comparison. And that's not a slam on Mr. Taylor, that's a complement to how amazing of voice match AJ is. I mean, I keep listening back to the video that has clips of his voice, and it's REALLY tough to tell that it's an impersonator.

I would be really disappointing if they can't get Thomas Wilson for Biff... :(

Seeing the TTG-Logo in the intro of the "Behind the Scenes"-clips makes me realize, how perfectly the logo works with the layout of the flux capacitor... it's like Telltale was always meant to take on this franchise :D

Also a nice touch that Century Gothic was used as the titles font, just like in the movies :)

Atari's logo would have worked just as well, just upside down ;)

I really hope having a young Doc voiced by James Arnold Taylor isn't just an excuse to not have much of Christopher Lloyd in the game.

And is it just me or is it really hard to make out the word "unusual" when Lloyd says it at the end?
I had to listen to it a bunch of times to decipher what he was saying.

I was talking about Lloyd's unclear rendition of the word "unusual"

I think the little piece of dialog at the end of the video was great. Finally we heard AJ sounding like Marty even when not yelling!
  • edited October 2010
Yeah, that dialogue sounded like it was ripped straight from the movie. Excellent job on the casting front in my opinion. This game could have the best voice actors in any Telltale game yet (Christopher Lloyd, James Arnold Taylor, AJ), etc.

I wonder if the TT regulars (Roger Jackson, Brian Sommer, Nicki Rapp) will also be making appearences in BTTF and JP.

Yeah, best cast ever! And I imagine Kid Beyond could do a nice imitation of Sam Neill for JP, but I want the real Grant! :D

I could see Roger doing a pretty good Biff and Nikki pulling off Lorraine, assuming Tom Wilson and Lea Thompson aren't returning.

Nikki would totally nail that part! Actually, she's so talented, she could play Biff as well! :D

Santar, your just deaf. Lloyd sounded fine.

And, a girl as Biff? wth? well, it wouldn't B the 1st time. Can U say Nancy Cartwright?
  • edited October 2010
With the adventure involving Young Doc, that gives us a pretty good idea about one of the time periods we will be visiting! 1930's? Perhaps 1935? So very very excited!

EDIT: my reasoning + unexemplary maths skills at work
So Doc (or at least un-made-up Chris Lloyd) was 47 in 1955, making him 77 in 1985, which would mean he was born in 1908. So a 20-something doc places him in the 30's...and this is assuming that 1955 Doc was the same age as Lloyd at the time of shooting, which is obviously quite a variable in film - Marty was a 24year old school student by this rationale.

Can we expect any more behind the scenes videos? Or were the 3 over the weekend all we're getting? I want moooooore!

I don't think Nikki could be Biff. First of all, yes, it's common to have voice actresses do the voice of young boys. Biff isn't exactly a little kid, though, and he clearly has a deep voice.

Second of all, with all due respect to Nikki, she's not very good at doing young male voices, if Sammun-Mak is any indication. Every time he talked I would think "Girl. Girl. Girl."

    Hey! Pssst! Yes, you!

    Secret:
Silverwolfpet was JOKING about Nikki voicing Biff!

Wow just this minute seen it, how long do we have to wait for the game?
LoCascio does a great Marty 100% bang on the nail.

I will pre-order this game very soon it will only cost me £15 because of the exchange rate so that's what I call a bargain.

This time last year we all had Tales of Monkey Island who would have thought we would have this game the year after, THANKYOU TELLTALE YOU TRULY ARE THE BEST THERE IS.:guybrush:

@Captain Jack. According to the novelization he was born in 1920 and is 65 in 1985.

    Interesting...maybe the 1940's then? :)

I always figured Doc would have been older than that before he got his "overhaul" in pt II (complete with a new colon and spleen I might add)
