After finally playing the XBLA version I know this game is worthy of a thread bump.
  • edited December 2010
The game is on sale right now (steam)
  • edited December 2010
How did I miss this on XBLA? I'll be downloading it tonight.

    $3.75 for Super Meat Boy?

    Abso-fucking-lutely amazing.
  • edited December 2010
if you watch the Steam-forums the usual happens a lot of people are raging because they payed more.
They obviously are not very long registered to steam.

To be fair, Team Meat said they were doing the $10 sale at launch because they were offered to do a $10 sale around Christmas by Microsoft, and they thought that would be a dick move to their fans.

And they publicly stated this in many, many places.

It kind of has a basis.

Got it. Just downloaded. I wanted to check the forum thread because of that.

And my GOD... Good that I wasn't there when people flamed GISH.

Holy crap! I've got it on XBLA, but for a price like that I might just pick it up on Steam for the hell of it.

Having been gifted the PC version by Rather Dashing - the Johnny Appleseed of Super Meat Boy - I can now safely say it is impossible with a keyboard. I need a gamepad.
  • edited December 2010
My rusty gamepad has just found a use.

Unfortunately I got frustrated in Hell 4 so... I'm cutting a break.

The 3.50€ deal on Steam just returned for today. If you haven't bought the game until now DO EEEEET. NAO.
    *must get bandages*
  • edited December 2010
FYI the wiiware version was cancelled. The file limit would be way too much for this game.

They said for Super Meat Boy to be pass the limit would be to take out ALL of the darkworld levels, which would remove a lot of characters due to bandages and warp zones. There would be no music for cutscenes and boss attles, and they overall said it would be a "sh**y version of the game"

Meh, it feels like Nintendo's size limit has cost them more deals than it has made them.

Sadly. I would have loved to see Toku from Lostwinds as a character.

I mean at 1,000 wii points($10) per copy of this game with as big a fanbase this game already has, and nintendo has to do little to no work since the game basicaly advertised itself and the game has already been made save for exclusive characters(that one guy from cave story;)) would basicaly add up to add this to the store and rake in the dough. Bad move by nintendo.

We have no idea what your specs are, but if you can run Telltale's games, SMB will probably work
  • edited December 2010
I'm struggling with a bug on the C.H.A.D. boss battle. When I get the key, nothing happens. Halp?

i meant scince i heard dr featus uses the finger alot
  • edited December 2010
It's pretty minor and honestly not all that bad, but if you don't feel comfortable with that stuff, then whatever.
  • edited December 2010
i decided to get the money to play it

FYI with seibert. I have had 3 conversations with him on how the game is censorship wise. He thought meat boy oozed blood. Also come to think of it mr.fetus only gives the finger 3 times. During the intro(which you can skip) when you switch from dark world to light world and vice versa, and during the pause screen if you take too long.

Meat Boy does leave behind a trail of blood, though. And he leaves blood behind on all the saws he runs into. Also squirrels can be run into blades. Also one is beheaded in the second cutscene, leaveing blood behind Also, Meat Boy smothers C.H.A.D. to death. Also, Dr. Fetus gives the finger as part of his capturing Bandage Girl animation at the end of every level.

Also, in terms of other "content", there's:

    -Various crude humor
    -Brownie
    -Jill
  • edited December 2010
    -Jill

    what is wrong with Jill?

It's either blood or meat juice, but raw meat juice DOES contain blood.

    Boot licking.

    but those are great boots!

Jill. Her name comes from Jill Off, and her game is Mighty Jill Off. Jill Off is the female equivalent of jack off. Jill's whole character is that of a boot-licking sexual bondage slave.

Can anyone explain me how to DO something in Super Meat World? All I get is that supposed level list and some leaderboard.

Look around the top for levels to find the levels that people made. The level editor itself is under "steam tools".

Now Ill ask a question. How do you get keys to work in level editor. I have one practice level I want to upload(isnt the worlds greatest level), but I have no clue how to get a key working.
