My novel.

(DISCLAIMER: In case any mods take this thread the wrong way, I just want to be clear I'm not trying to spam or anything. You can look through my posting history, I clearly registered here to discuss Telltale. A few people showed interest before, though, and since Christmas shopping is starting I thought I should make a thread in case anyone else is interested. If you have a problem with this thread, just lock it and I won't bring it up again, but don't ban me. Thanks.)

Anyway, some people asked about this in the Poker Night countdown thread, so in case there are any science fiction readers here, I thought I should tell you about my novel, "But Whether Men Do." It's an attempt at dark, sociological science fiction, examining how society would be impacted by the presence of humanlike robots. Just thought I'd let you know about it in case you were looking for a Christmas gift.

Looks pretty good. At first I thought it was an I, Robot ripoff, but it seems that the plot is pretty original.

I'll check this out at some point, probably when my current love affair with wizards ends and I go back to robots, but for sure I'll have to check it out.

Phew. Good to hear this is OK, then.

Might actually check this out. I'm looking for something new to crack into, and why not something by somebody I kind-of-don't-really-know. Don't be checking your sales looking for orders from my area though, cos i'm well skint at the mo :p

I noticed my book's gone up Amazon's Bestsellers Ranking. If any of you were responsible, thanks! :D

    Thanks again for your interest!

Also, if you do end up getting it, it'd be great if you could share your thoughts as you read it or something. I don't get to hear feedback from readers too often.

Writing a novel (and getting it published) at 19 is very impressive in my book (pun intended)

I might well pick this up.

Thanks! It's still kind of hard to believe I did it myself. Do you want to be a writer too, by any chance? I got that sort of vibe from your post.

If anybody's interested in getting it as a Christmas gift, it isn't too late, so you know.

I'm giving this one more bump just in case before I let the thread die. Sorry for the triple post, by the way.

Can I befriend you before you become a popular writer?

Anyway...I always contemplated to just start writing. I am a big dreamer so...
but what really holds me back is my perfectionism. I am never satisfied with what I produce and it's difficult to continue something you don't believe in.

Whenever I turn in something to my group for a project they are always very positive about it. Which I am always embarrassed because I feel I haven't shown my full potential.

I couldn't really tell what set this piece apart form the rest by the synopsis imo.
But I don't have trouble believing it's a good piece of work.
Much respect and good luck in your future endeavours. I might try this one out.
