    From the Twitters:

gamoid: @humble You're doing excellent work. Any chance this bundle will get a Steam serial, too?

humble: @gamoid Valve has been contacted, I am optimistic

    Why didn't anyone mention Machinarium?!
  • edited December 2010
    Awesomesauce.
Good Old Games cleared me out quite a bit, so I only contributed 5 dollars.
Then again, I already own 3 of them. (two i got from another indie bundle! XD)

Yeah, I'm still thinking about how much to give here, since I already own Braid and Machinarium, and am largely unfamiliar with the others (although I have heard Osmos mentioned in a positive light, many many times). Maybe I will just gift the bundle.

Linux sales stats are great, although they could even be better if anyone would have mentioned ...

I already own Machinarium, and I have Braid on the 360, but this is still awesome. Seriously hope we get Steam keys. :)
  • edited December 2010
Buying. I've always wanted both Braid and Machinarium.

Dashing, wise up and list Machinarium there for goodness sake

    See? SEE?!

The bundle has four games? Great.
  • edited December 2010
It would be an instant buy if it would feature an adventure as well, still a great bundle.

Well, although it hasn't been listed here, 'Machinarium' is an excellent little adventure game. I've only really just started playing (about a week or two ago, but I've unfortunately gotten stuck), but I can tell you now that it's innovative, it's clever, it's challenging, and it's pretty damn cool artistically.

As for the others, I haven't played them yet.

Revenge Of The Titans is possibly the best Tower Defense game I've ever played
Cortex Command is odd, I haven't played enough yet
If I remember correctly, Machinarium, The unlisted one here, is a rather strange adventure game
Braid didn't work correctly, I'll have to try it under different settings
and I haven't tried Osmos yet.

Braid is a fun but short platformer where you can rewind time.

Haven't played Cortex, Titans, or Osmos.

i would get it for myself for christmas for 5 buck or higher

Not sure why it isn't listed in the first post, but Machinarium is in this bundle, and it's a mostly traditional point-and-click adventure game. It differs a bit from most adventures in that you can only click on things that are within arms' reach of the character, so you can't just hover the screen looking for hotspots: you have to walk around a bit to explore. It's also rather linear. I've only played through the first few screens, but the puzzles are pretty enjoyable.

Also, I'd pretty confidently recommend Braid to most adventure fans. Maybe the most reflex-phobic players won't enjoy it, but in the context of this bundle it's probably worth giving it a play anyway. There is some rather light platforming action, but you can always rewind whenever you die, so there's no serious risk: the real gameplay is the puzzles, and the puzzles are pretty fantastically frustrating mind-benders. A lot of those "quit, and then go back to it a few days later" puzzles, like in the old days

This is seriously how I get through most of HalfLife 2. Now if only Braid would work on my computer.

    You guys

    Are all jerks.

    Osmos.

Osmos starts out relaxing and easy but even though the music stays relaxing the levels will get insanely hard later. I am not willing to ever start this piece of turd ever again. A challenge is a challenge but this game is just insane. And not the good way of insane like Super Meat Boy. Random levels are random get lucky and win or get an impossible level over and over.

On Steam-keys: I already own all the games in the bundle that are available on steam.
I kind of wish I had bought the first bundle though. The key for that one would make an excellent X-mas-present now.

Woah woah woah! Machinarium is there!? I was going to not get this because of only four games. Why would Dashing lie to us so? I demand an appology! Not only did I almost miss out on FIVE games, but a great adventure game too? Man. Why would someone leave out an amazing adventure game like that?
  • edited December 2010
I know! Totally playing the Machinarium game right now that Dashing forgot to mention. It's a crime against humanity, I tell you!

(He's going to kill me in my sleep, now, right?)

Thanks for the pointers! I missed out on the first Indie Bundle due to dithering and indecision, but I've heard good things about Machinarium so I've grabbed this bundle and will give all the games a go... after all, with the AU dollar so strong against the US dollar at the moment, I could afford to be a little generous :)

Meh, not buying it if Machinarium isn't included.

No, the jerk is you, for omitting Machinarium. This is a forum full of adventure game fans, what were you thinking? O_o

Anyway, so far I've only downloaded Braid, the download speed was pretty low yesterday. Looks like HIB2 is a success.
