alright guys, 9:05 am at Telltale's HQ, so there should at least be an Interloper announcing SOMETHING in relation to ep4!! pllllllllllzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!!
I've mentioned this before but episode 4 should be the easiest of the 5 for them to make; episode 3 had an entirely new setting and required completely new designs for all the characters except for Marty (and to a lesser extent Edna, George and Biff). Episode 2 had less but they still needed to design the 1986 settings, and basically all the spots shown in 1931 aside from the courtyard (that was the only setting that was re used from the first episode)
episode 4 will at least have the same settings and characters that we had seen in the first 3 episodes (FCB 1986 and 1931).
That seems to be a common misconception here. A lot of people seem to think that, when making an episodic game, you complete one episode in its entirety, then move on to the next episode, complete that, etc. As anyone who works in the art/animation field will tell you, giving out a release date (even a vague monthly one) on something you haven't even started yet is complete insanity and bad business practice (unless you're a freelancer, but that's a different story). Ever notice at events like E3 how, when a game is announced for the first time, there's already a trailer and sometimes even a playable demo? That's because the game has been in production long before the public even knew about it. Any video game, even an episodic one, takes far longer than one month for a single episode to be completed.
Production on this game probably began back when it was announced in June that they had acquired the rights. They probably completed all of the character models and scenery for the entire series before episode 1 was even released. Keep in mind, they had six months before the release of episode 1, and I promise you a lot of work was done during this time so they could keep up with a hectic month-to-month schedule later.
So what're they working on now? Voice recordings, re-recordings, syncing character facial expressions to voice tracks, lighting, shading, pretty much any finishing touches and working out any bugs (hence that testing event they held last week).
Now, keep in mind, I am not affiliated with Telltale in any way, nor do I know if what I said above is true in regards to their specific brand of game development, but I can say with 99% certainty that the release date of the game at this point has little to do with designing locations or characters, or the lack thereof. I hope this helps clear up any misconceptions
Yeah if you are referring to the fact of making a new thread instead of just posting this info in the "already merged threads release dates" So yeah we are back on track with talking about when the eps will be released, like we already were doing in the merged threads discussion. But the mods would rather just start another exactly the same discussion thread. lol Atleast you could have hinted to, atleast a release week.. by starting this new thread. Like ep4 april 15-3oth, ep5 may 14!!! Since that would be cleaver in how you have docs auction date in ep1 may 14! Bet knowone thought of that one lol. except for the writers at TT ofcourse.
you know what's really going to suck? When the site goes down to upload the jurassic park episodes; because BTTF fans will be all excited and then.... yeah it's someone elses party
Having seen the language bar appear on the Double Visions purchase bar (a-la last months Citizen Brown release), I'd suspect that BTTF will be released before JP. Monday perhaps...
i think it took about a week last episode between the time the language bar appearead and the episode being ready. The next thing was the icon of the face appearing (which was the same day)
mind you i dont remember it happening for get tannen.

Last episode the language bar appeared on a Friday, and the game was released on the following Monday. At least that's something to hope for this time around.

I'd love to be able to put down a JP pre-order, but without knowing how it'll run, I won't. Not yet.
Now that I think about it I'm wondering if they are going ahead with this release to try to appease everyone that is about to explode form waiting for JP.

*cries like a baby*

Jeez, dont u listen to Eminem, ur s'posed to throw a baby at another baby.... newb!!!!
Anyone... make a connection yet? Anyways, I'd thought of this possibility before the guy in the higher quote above posted it.
Because it's not needed? Because Telltale won't sell you individual episodes?
I'm guessing you own a dedicated Apple device that doesn't use iOS?
To be honest, I wish I could play Telltale's BTTF on Mac OS 8 :V
I have been wrong before though.
mind you i dont remember it happening for get tannen.
Or *pauses for effect* at the same time.

It's 14. Telltale doesn't release on Saturdays.

Nor SUndays.
This. Holy crap. Is it today?
Nope. Telltale office is already closed for the weekend. My prediction is Monday
