So, Steam's pushed it back to 5 hours. It's about 1 PM EST right now, which means we'll probably get it at 6 PM EST (3 PM PST).

...Well, I've got schoolwork to finish anyway.

According to the Steam timer, UK will get it at 22:00.

Sucks too because I timed watching Jurassic Park 1 perfectly. I just finished watching it, and then sure as heck the game is delayed by 4 more hours!

    :( Worth the wait still.

Ugh.... Five hours from now, that would be midnight over here.
    And the 16th. Lame.
Release day is always the hardest wait, isn't it? :D

edit: now it says four hours. Backpaddle faster, Steam!

yah but you gotta remember thats steam telltale could still release it sooner

Steam pushed it by four hours. Steam's Available countdown displays even one second left from hour as full hour.

lol, I was trying to figure out how to download it, came to the forums and see that nobody knows when it's releasing. I was going to go by steam, but people are saying even that's not being accurate. I'm trying to follow that chart in some of the forums, I live in GA, so that chart has 12-8 pm written on it. I'm a little lost, wouldn't tell tale be closed by then, even if they were on PST time (only a 3 hour difference, if I'm not mistaken).
Does anybody have a release time for any of the time zones? Or are we just going to keep checking back?

True. Have the Telltale Store version and Steam version of a game ever been released at the same time, in fact?

I still think it's worth sharing for those who pre-ordered on Steam, though. Which includes me.

Speaking of other versions...what about the 360? Since it has a disc release, couldn't someone go into Gamestop or something and maybe get the game before its official PC release? Then again, retailers don't always have games right at launch unless it's something with a lot of hype.

That made me literally LOL. Argh this is causing me distress. I imagine the staff members looking at the forums all have trollfaces on with their fingers on the "unlock" button.

Either that or someone is guiding them to the power supply box in the maintenance shed, and it happens to be John Hammond and NOT Ian Malcolm. "I know how to read a server schematic"

I really do hate that man. :(

But anyway, for the Telltale newbies here, this release date-anxiety is par for the course. Don't worry, it'll come out today (or possibly tomorrow, depending on your time zone). Worst-case scenario, it comes out at 5 PM PST.

Ok, i'm here waiting for the game to come out, and i'm having troubles with my controller... i hope someone can help me.

I have the official Microsoft x360 Wireless Controller Gaming Receiver, bought with a white wireless controller that worked perfectly fine on my computer.
Now the problem is i forgot the pad at a friend's house, so i'm trying to connect my Black X360 controllers to my PC.
    **** it doesn't work!
I press the little button on the pad to start the wireless search, and the circle lights start to turn on one after another.
Then i press the button on the receiver, and something weird happens on the controller: ALL the lights start to blink, and the pad doesn't connect to the PC.
On the receiver, the light is on.

    Is that normal?
Don't tell me i can't use my X360 controller on my computer... :(
    Dino lovers help me please!!
  • edited November 2011
You need to hold the button on the receiver down for a few seconds first. Once the light starts to flash, you can press the sync button on the gamepad to sync it up.

Nah I have patience, I just felt that the quote was somewhat fitting for the situation. I do; however, feel that this jumping release time is a little odd. It's almost like they're saying "Okay, here you go... Oh wait, give us 4 more hours and THEN we'll give it to you".

This is just a delay, that's all it is. All major theme parks have delays. When they opened Disneyland in 1956... nothing worked!

Yeah, but John, when the Pirates of the Caribbean breaks down, the pirates don't eat the tourists.

    I'm doing it.
But what's weird is that the wireless search starts as usual and then after a couple of seconds it stops (as if it properly connected), but instead of the player 1 light being on, ALL the lights keep blinking.

The problem is apparently the 360 controllers (the ones i got with the black 360 Slim model) don't connect to the gaming receiver.

Oh Telltale, I love you guys but you really suck at releases. :(

This isn't like steam where they get the game fully completed and they just have to flip a switch. These guys are actually finding bugs still and are aiming for a superior product. Imagine the griping they would have gotten if they had released and then everyone is saying, "but I can't finish the game! Telltale sucks, I'm never buying from you again. et. all"

You realize the game went gold last week. That means they concentrate more on releasing the game than bugs for the moment.

Actually the game was set to be released seven months ago.

I'd blame Valve for that, not Telltale. The "jumping release time" is from Steam's estimate (emphasis on that word right there) on when it will unlock.

Although I think Steam's estimate just got changed to be earlier. It says "in about 3 hours," which means 5 PM EST. It was saying it'd come at 6 before.

I highly doubt they are still finding/fixing bugs hours away from launching...
