    He posted it once.

As for the topic, what exactly did they say on when it would occur?
I dont remember January, just early 2012.

That's all that's really been confirmed is early 2012.

If I were to take a guess I would say around when Telltale releases the first epidoe of The Walking Dead. (Is it episodic?) Seeing as though that's Telltale next big endeavor after Back to the Future and Jurassic Park.

(I don't really count Law and Order as a Telltale's "Big Game" mainly because I feel they didn't treat it as such. It was treated more as a "fill-in" game to relive the gap between the release of Jurassic Park and The Walking Dead. Kind of like how Puzzle Agent 2 was the "fill-in" game for the gap between the release of Back to the Future and Jurassic Park. The only difference being I was actually kind of looking forward to that game. Since it seems I've strayed far off topic again I'll end it here, those are just my looks on those games.)

Actually, I might be able to get this thread back on topic with a question that's been bothering me for a week or so.

Has anyone else noticed if the forum 'directory list' at the top of the screen has moved closer to the standard links above it? I swear that they have, because I keep accidentally clicking GAMES instead of 'General Chat'.

Anyone else notice this, or is it just me getting clumsy in my old age?

No, you're absolutely right. This is because there is no forum banner at the present time which normally announced TTG franchises and clearly separated directory list from standard links. I hope that will be rectified soon, because I get mad with the accidental misclicking.

Ah, that's what's missing. Obvious now that you've pointed it out!

Cheers for reassuring me that I'm not losing my mind just yet.

In response to the original question, the idea at the time was that we're changing from UBB to a Vanilla forum, like the Penny Arcade forums. So, before our forums suspiciously look like those, you can rest assured that no work is done.

Furthermore, I suspect that the forum migration would not be a one-hour work-under-the-hood thing. Ubisoft recently changed their forum style and, in the process, was offline for about two weeks! I guess we get a big announcement and afterwards will have to do a while without the TTG forums.

damn, guess I'll have to get some writing done.

We don't have any plans to shut the forums down. At least not for an extended period. The new site and forums are being created on staging servers and once everything is done, it's basically just a matter of flipping the switch to make them go live.

I now noticed that the Telltale Games website will go into a temporary shutdown for the transfer of all data to the new forums. But what will happen to my login status? Will I keep the login status once that happens? :(
  • edited March 2012
It'll be fine. Worst case scenario you have to relogin. No biggie.

Not if you can't remember the user name pass and email address!

Her user name is Debbie82 . If you don't remember your password you can't even access your games as your forum account is linked to your store account, I believe. Not really smart to forget account information for such important content.

But again, worst case scenario you email Telltale tech support and get your password reset.

I think everyone should just post there login details here for safe keeping!
    :D

Well, at least I remember my username and password, so I'll be fine. Thanks. :)
