Sorry to say this dude, but it's highly unlikely that you'll be able to ignore it for long. Especially considering how many fandoms have crossed over with the franchise. Including but not limited to our beloved Freelance Police:
It actually makes sense he doesn't have a cutey mark. He acts on id (acting on things solely because it gives him pleasure) and pure instinct, so it makes sense he's never found the one talent he's meant to do.
Installing:
Extract the zip file into \My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS. This should create a subfolder called "Equestria (v 2)", with some subfolders in that. Afterwards, start the game and it should show up in your mod list.
Please help out:
As you'll notice this is an Alpha version with only placeholder art. I'm no good at doing art myself, so if someone would like to provide fanart for the in-game icons, "Dawn of Man" background and "map" picture, that would be lovely. Also, I'd like to hear if something is too powerful or should be tweaked, and if the pink+purple color scheme is too much.
I do like the show. I just have the anonymity of the internet to mask it, as anyone but my cousin's daughters would think I'm crazy if I told them I like it.
It's a kid's show; it's colorful; the animation is good; the characters are interesting, memorable and not annoying; and it teaches good lessons to kids.
So what if most of the characters are girls? They're ponies, sure, but that doesn't matter because a lot of shows star talking animals. Heck, I might watch the Gummi Bears if that show was on.
The reason why it's a girly show is because girls are the target market for the toys. That's all.
I really used to like the ponies. But, somehow, I'm drifting off from the fandom. It's either the lack of new episodes, or some of the silly OC's I see that just make me go "ugh". I'm not sure. It just bothers me that so many people make "immortal" or "super powerful" OCs. I can understand if it's the antagonist or the OC's are supposed to be evenly matched, but it still bugs the hell out of me.

Sorry to break it to you... but OCs in every fandom are like that. I've run into one good OC that I genuinely liked in all my years of fanfiction reading and it was in a Harry Potter fanfiction. I think the reason that I liked her was because she was this evil old hag of a witch with her own agenda and a fairly interesting backstory. But that sort of thing is pretty damn rare.
I always thing that to best enjoy a fandom, immediately skip over any fic that has an OC pairing or any mention of an OC in the title. Unless it's a fic that I've written and obviously a parody.

Yeah,I never truly got deeper into any fandom more than this one. I've only skimmed the corners of fandoms, and never went too deep. Mostly, any OC's from any fandom that are super over powered bother me, so that's why the OC I created was just a normal unicorn.
I know I can't do anything about it, just throwing it out there.

Well, sounds like the MLP fandom needs to be introduced to the Mary Sue Litmus Test.
My characters tend to range between a 10 to a -6 on this test.
I guess my beef with bronies that seem to set them apart most other fandoms is that bronies have this idea that their fandom is all about love and tolerance. While this is a really good quality, they take this as a granted without much basis almost in a dogmatic sense. To add to this there seems to be a major victim complex. Like, way more than usual for a fandom.
When something bad happens in the fandom, instead of admitting that, hey, there's bad stuff that happens in the fandom from time to time and it's natural, there seems to be major denial. Bronies are ALWAYS tolerant and anyone who disagrees is a bigot. Bronies seem to treat themselves like minorities and whenever anyone finds their passions weird, it's considered persecution.
It's kinda iffy when those who are fairly privileged compare their troubles with those that actually struggle in life.
Now, I don't think all pony fans are like this at all. If you like the show and you gain enjoyment of it irl, that's a wonderful thing and I'm glad. I have several friend who are fans, and while it isn't for me, I wholeheartedly agree that the show is nice. However, this whole acting like a "group of proud minorities at the forefront of love and tolerance and if you don't accept us you're a terrible bigot" thing needs to stop.

My OC is an Earth Pony. Just a simple, plain old earth pony with nothing really that special about his except the fact that he can play guitar a hell of a lot better than I can.
I usually don't have a beef with OCs unless they're too super-powerful, pretentious or unsympathetic. After all, I'm not one to judge.

Ignoring it very very hard.

You can blame/thank Cheri for this.
More footage.
That's an interesting thought actually... What WOULD it be? A baseball bat? A machete? The Lugermorph?
Features:
(It should show up on Civ5Fanatics soonish. I've put it on MediaFire because I'm waiting for their mods to approve it.)

Speaking of Steam Workshop, has anyone seen the Skyrim Weapons and Armour mods?

No it was made to annoy me.
And it works.
If it was, they did a very poor job.
But I have the feeling it wasn't.
You never mentioned that you posted this.
Well, you know, that's just how awesome I am.
Then again I guess it's been a while since anyone on this forum but me cared even the tiniest bit about this series.
Something is wrong here!
There's nothing wrong with being insane, dude. We're all insane here. Even those of us who don't like the show.

Anyway, here's an advert I found on the back of my Doctor Who and Star Trek Crossover comic. So what do you think about Friendship is Magic getting an official comic?

Which is where Rule 34 sexual activity occurs between the ponies.
