Okay so I'm new to Telltale Games.
I preordered the game and all the episodes.
It appears on my game list when I click the little joystick at the top right.

Why is there no download link and why haven't I been emailed that it's come out today?
(I only found out because I saw it on Steam)

Already people who bought it on steam are playing it.
    What the heck?
Definitely not impressed at the moment.

Gotta get a lot of money first to do that

Or if you can't wait. Buy it from Steam.

I am not impressed at all.
This is my first and last purchase from you guys.

I purchased it from the actual website because they were very silent about it coming to Steam.
Then I find out a few weeks later that it's on Steam AND they have a release date?
Not to mention that you never told anyone on your actual website either. Everyone on the forums was clueless about when it was coming out and assumed Steam had it wrong. Obviously Steam had the right info.
Now it seems that people on Steam can download and play the game now and we the people who bought from the website are still waiting.

This is a really poor way to treat your customers, old and new. I'm fairly certain I'm not the only one to be disappointed by this.

To anyone who thinks people are being impatient. The game was meant to be out today, it's available for people who didn't pre-order first and not through the developer directly.
That alone makes your comments on this invalid.

Ps. Thanks to the absolute moron who "moved" my topic and made it not materialise here.

Well I kinda agree with you but what can we do about it? Nothing.

I am very disappointed like many people. You guys had a release date set, should of been ready by midnight in my opinion. This also is my first and last purchase. Not sure why we can't get an estimated time on when it will be up, all was said is, "VERY SOON". Not a good start Tell Tale. Only reason im very discreet is because I took the day off work to play today and looks like I won't be able too

You obviously don't understand the way Telltale operates. Every release is the same. It only gets released in office hours and telltale are on the west coast, so you've got to consider timezones. They never release an exact time because they are tweaking it and it gets uploaded WHEN it's ready.

The "moron" as you put it moved it here because this is the relevant topic for it. He is trying to stop "morons" like you from posting the same things others are posting over and over and puttng it all in one category.

That being said are you really regretting not getting the Steam version with the ton of problems people are having???! To me it is very obvoius steams version was rushed out the door and now people who bought that version are paying for it. Telltale has no control physically over a steam. If steam dropped the game to early that is on them not telltale. Everyone is already complaining about these bugs as if they are already playing the telltale version of the game. Those problems could very well be Steam specific and those problems fall on Steam. So please chillax until everything has run its course.

    REMINDER:

Our build of the game is coming VERY SOON. I know the short delay sucks, but it's a slightly different build and it needs to be fully uploaded to our CDN before you can download it. We definitely appreciate your patience.

That means that probably we will have less problems than the Steam users are having! This worth the wait! ;)

So the PS3 version is available now too?
So that's Steam and PS3 able to be downloaded and played right now. With 360 folks getting it tomorrow.
Still no word for those that actually bought game first directly from telltale.

Judging by the time there, we won't be getting it today.
Well done guys. What a way to go to stick your middle finger up at new customers.
Think I'll be getting my money back.

Yeah hopefully our build will be better. Just installed steam version on this work PC

    core 2 duo 2.8Ghz 3GB ram radeon 4350 512mb

And there's missing polygons and glitches all over the place. Newest drivers, newest directx

Hopefully TTG version is improved. I'm also buying on PS3 which seems so far to be the best version possible. If they had done the be in the game contest for PS3 buyers I wouldn't have even bothered with the PC version

The time there is 14:12, so they have a bit under 10 hours to get it out on the day they said that they would release it on. It'll be here in under that time unless a serious problem occurs. And also the version that they will release will most likely be the freshest build of the game. The PSN one will have been finished a few days ago to get it through the Sony approval process and the Steam one was probably submitted yesterday at the latest. Patient is a virtue that is sorely missing from the majority on release days.

Can you do a stop payment on Paypal? I ordered it today and am frustrated with the delay. Does anyone know if you can stop payment and just order it from Steam?
