So like alot of individuals i try and keep up to date on TWD.

Yesterday i read somewhere on the internet that April 25th would be the release date for The Walking Dead on XBLA.

True? not True? i do not know just thought I would share my info with these forums.

    To my knowledge, no official release date exists yet. Unless you've read a release date on this site, from the horse's mouth (i.e. blog/ actual TTG employees), treat everything as plain rumor.

    sooner the better so much stuff comming out next few months it would be best to hook us now before people start spending money on the others games and getting hooked like diablo 3 and torchlight max payne the list goes on good year to be a gamer.

    We are half way through April so it seems strange that there is no firm release date. What I have seen of this game looks amazing and it's making me impatient.

    In two weeks we will be surviving and speaking about the different storylines we have taken in-game.

    Yeah that's telltale. They don't announce a release date until they are positive that will be the date.

    Maybe I misread it or it was misinformation but I thought I read an article that said April 17th.

    We'll see that soon but that's not a official announcement. Until Telltale says anything about it, it's all rumours.

    That's a date seems logical to me.

    Is it confirmed consoles and PC are all getting the release at the same time? When I posted I didn't mean to imply I was putting all my faith into that date just that I had seen a few places list the 17th. Makes you wonder where these dates come from if not Telltale.

    When it comes to here I use the valve method of thinking. It will probably come out when I least expect it or when I have to be away from the computer for a few days. LOL

    They have a release date list on their website. They need to fill it somehow. They have no date for TWD. So they invent one. Welcome to the internet. ;)

    I'm well aware which is why I said I wasn't putting much stock in the date. I honestly can't remember the last time telltale gave an actual release date....might of been one for JP but that was a nightmare I hope we never have to go through again....on second thought maybe its better to have no release date....LOL

    Until it's posted on here it's not confirmed. Steam guess as often as other sites do. This could be a well educated guess and it may well turn out to be correct but it's by no means confirmation.

    Daww, way to ruin the fun. :(

    Oh well, there's a few other interesting things we can get from the Steam page. The episode names, for starters.

    Episode 1 – A New Day
    Episode 2 – Starved for Help
    Episode 3 – Long Road Ahead
    Episode 4 – Around Every Corner
    Episode 5 – No Time Left

    Also, there will be Steam achievements.

    Don't let me stop you having fun. I mean, the date is more than likely the date that Telltale have at least planned to get the game out for. The only reason they don't actually say that is in case there are last minute problems which cause the release to be delayed in anyway. That is my reading and thoughts on the situation.

    Damn, I wish I had waited to buy it on Steam. It's the same price and you still get an entry into the 'be a zombie' draw. I only bought it off the Telltale site because I thought that was an exclusive thing.

    I like having all my games on steam :p

    how can you be sure you will enter in the pre-order bonus? Eventhough it may be on steam, but that doesn't confirm your entry?

    On FAQ it's still saying that you will enter the contest if you preorder in Telltale store ONLY. It doesn't say anything about Steam.

    EDIT: Besides the Steam release date it's still no offi... aaaaah, what the heck, you're right. :D 24th April, here we go. I was right, by the way. The April's last week. I won. I want my prize. :p

    I feel the exact same way.
    This was the first time I've decided to play a game from Telltale Games and if I'd have known this was coming to Steam for the same price then I'd have bought it there instead :/
    Not too fussed about the entry into "be a zombie" though. I'm not one to win things. (but it would be nice :P We can all dream ;) )

    ...the 24th is probably very close. I mean, plus/minus six days.

    You never know we may all just come on here Friday and bam there is the game....LOL It seems like some of the BTTF episodes were like that. Either way I just enjoy what Telltale has been doing with the game industry. It is nice to have a company that makes unique games. So the release date thing doesn't bother me....I know when I start the game I will be entertained.....

    rumor im sure is correct simple fact we know the first episode is done and most the big sites like ign and others have already had their play throughs so its done and they said it will be out late april so well 24th 25th is pretty much late april so no need to be shooting the rumours down now is there.

    You can add the game to the steam overlay there is an option for that.

    (Why is there not even a "citation needed" marker after the Wikipedia "release date"?? Man, this wikipedia thing is going DOWN in a hurry.)
