Why don't you share some more of your vast software engineering knowledge w/them!

The game was JUST released. Having issues is not excusable but neither is acting like a childish brat.

It's not my job to earn my money for them.

I'm not acting like a brat, I'm acting like a consumer without a product:).

    Game or Money back, easy!

Im running it fine here. I thought if anyone would have a problem it might be me since Im using it on an older system.

    Windows 7 32 bit Laptop
    Nvidia 7950 ect ect.

Doesnt seem to be graphics card specific, or brand. One thing common so far with most is those using a 64 bit system. I can install it on my desktop which is a 64 bit high end system and see if I can run it there or not.

Just installed and run fine on my 64 bit system as well. So that should hopefully eliminate a 64 bit system issue. I am using older drivers though on both systems. Neither system has drivers younger than 1 year old.

There was a case where I had to downgrade from the latest NV drivers to the previous to get a game to work, if any1 is willing to try that go for it.

    Sad realization...

    What PC gamers feared before:

If their System was up to date.

    What PC gamers Fear now:

    Is it a port?
    Is it capped?
    Will it be optimized?
    Will there be patch support?
    Will it come to PC?
Will it come to Pc the same release as console?
    Should I get a ps3/360?
WTF is Origin and why do I need it?

I don't know for sure, but it sounds like you're "looking" at the door instead of "using" it. Should be two buttons to interact with.

Try it twice or three times see if it works for you again. It has a tendency to choose when it wants to run.

I already had exactly same problem with the Jurassic Park (on steam), and wrote many emails to the TTG support with tons of the logs - and still no fix. The game runs randomly 1 time of 20.
And now the same bug in the Walking Dead, is it so hard to fix? It's really annoying.

Any solutions from this thread did not help.

When can I expect this to be fix I paid and I want to play your game it looks really fun.

For what its worth, my copy runs fine w/no workarounds required.

I suppose the obvious needs pointed out. Its easier to make a game work w/a few hardware/software configurations (360/PS3) than for the millions of permutations of PC configurations the game technically supports.

Does that give them a pass? No, but I would at least wait a few days before deciding the company failed the launch.

Calm down. The developers have been posting asking for people's patience and cooperation. Report bugs, don't chew on the developers. The game was just released today, with huge pressure and anticipation. I cannot download the game, yet, and I know I will be disappointed with bugs, but bugs can be fixed. There's no reason to get belligerent.

Bought through steam and once it downloaded I went to play it. When the game launches my monitor says "Mode not supported" but the game is running in the back round as I can hear the noise and I can move the mouse around and hear it hovering over selections. I guess its something to do with the resolutions but I havent a clue how to fix. Any help please.

I think this is true of the bigger companies like EA, Activision and Capcom. I just think, if you treat all companies like you do some bigger guys, it becomes counterproductive. Telltale has been a pretty classy company for as long as Ive known them. Very attentive to problems, and they back their products. I can only give you one very good example of why they are different. I preordered Jurassic Park when it was first announced. When it was delayed for 6 months, they went beyond most companies and gave me a nice Free Game coupon which I used today for this title. They also didnt charge me for that preorder by the way. Most game companies would of just said this is the way it is, game is delayed. They didnt have to give out free game coupons, it was just who they are. I think your anger is really a bit overboard. I can certainly understand you having this attitude based on your experience with other companies, I just dont think you should treat them all as if they are the same companies.

Your entitled to be annoyed, you paid your money you want your product. I think everyone understands that. Its just some companies are much like your describing, but there are some really cool companies like Telltale that just are not that way. By acting out like you are, your punishing them because of what other companies have done to you, instead of praising them for being different. Launch date screw ups happen, no company wants a bad launch. Im sure they have everyone looking at this issue. I can tell by their questions that they are. Just some food for thought, but hey, if you really think your method works, its your right I suppose.

Can you provide me with a DXDiag file, please?

To send a DXDiag, click the Start menu, click Run, and then type in DXDiag and press enter. After it loads, click Save All Information and save the file where you'll be able to easily find it. Open the file and then press Ctrl+A followed by Ctrl+C to copy the contents of the file, and then include that in a reply.

I am slightly peeved at this whole thing, but at the same time it is actually quite interesting in the sense that this whole thing is actually one giant patch hunt, as someone who is interested in the actual video game industry this would be QUITE something to write home about, its the exact opposite of what a good release date is, with that said i love telltale games and they put out quality entertainment, so i forgive them

PS this is still a better release problem than dead island's MANY problems

For what its worth, my copy runs fine w/no workarounds required.

I suppose the obvious needs pointed out. Its easier to make a game work w/a few hardware/software configurations (360/PS3) than for the millions of permutations of PC configurations the game technically supports.

Does that give them a pass? No, but I would at least wait a few days before deciding the company failed the launch.

    Majority of Gamers.

    that renders that point mute.

How many CPU companies are otu there? Intel + AMD, Video card, AMD + NV.

Your point is mute, there are plenty of crap games that ran from launch, What are they doing different?

    These are pre rendered scenes.

A classy company stands above the rest, it doesn't blend into the crowed.

The company is remaining silent, Still no sticky concerning the problems.

    How hard is it:

Sticky* Regarding problems, we are working round the clock etc.

    Classy? Please

You accept money you do one of the following:

    Refund, Fix or Explain.

    Thats a classy company.

Dead island Ran, and is much more demanding that this game. Don't compare a Movie with game. :)

Wow, you might want to stop while you are...wherever you are. This game supports years worth of processor/video card combinations plus irregularities that motherboard, memory, driver versions, and any other peripherals in the PC introduce that may cause the system to act unusually.

You have made it clear by this comment you really don't know what you are talking about...the game is not pre-rendered...it is 3D real-time rendered.

Oh, and its not a "mute" point...its moot ;)

So your issue is they dont have a sticky up? For a post at the top of the forum list? :D You know I for awhile gave you the benefit thinking you might actually own the title. But some of your comments are telling me that you wont like this game whether it works or not. It will be very interesting to watch your comments once this is resolved.

Poor choice of words on my part for pre-rendered I meant to say, pre-determined scenes.

It's not all done "LIVE". You have Choices and the outcomes are there with the same motion.:)

You know exactly what I mean, lol. If other devs can get their game working, this should be a cake walk.

Maybe they should talk to the hundreds of Indie devs;)

Go into your settings and change your keyboard over to United States.
    Start> Settings> Control Panel> Regional and Language> Keyboards

    See if that works, Boula

I certainly understand your having a really bad hair day based on your posts, but some of us are just trying to be helpful rather than hysterical. I know its common for some to pound their fists and accomplish nothing, but Im sure they're doing what they can to pin the problem down. Telltale has always been very good in that regard. Try taking a breath and relaxing.

Ya bud seriously , TellTale is one of the worst gaming experiences I've had to deal with and by far this is not the 1st game. Needless to say please link me to where they've adressed something is wrong and are working on it??? cant?? didnt think so

Did you read any of the trouble threads? :D You can see techs in each one asking for information and trying to repeat it. Worst gaming experiences? Really? And yet you keep buying more? Whats that say about you then? :D

Your drivers were last updated in 2011. Can you try updating to the latest ATI drivers and see if that helps?

I'd just like to point out that most Indie devs use third-party engines to develop their games and do not have to concern themselves at the outset with whether their game will run on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, or iOS. Building the technology to run a game on such a wide variety of platforms as these is complex.

I am very sorry that some of you are having trouble getting the game to run on your machine; all we can do is collect information on what the symptoms are and then get to work to try and resolve things as fast as we can. Please remember also that it's been only half a day since release, and that fixes take turn-around time.

Specifically on the issue of AZERTY keyboard layouts: we made no pretense of having AZERTY localization right away, although that may be in the cards at some point. For now, the keyboard controls are QWERTY-centric, but the game should still be playable with a gamepad as an alternative.
