The public beta of PS All-Stars is here for Vita players and PS3 PS Plus, They improved stuff from the private beta and added Sly now that he has been fixed. Sly & Parappa are the best characters in the beta in my opinion.
The covers that won were Jak & Daxter,Ratchet & Clank,Good Cole,Nate, and Sackboy.
Also Coolsome so you yourself are a moron for liking Ape Escape?
No I'm a fan its the plural that are morons. Plus I was full of rage when I posted. I'm surprised Raiden didn't get a cover I thought he was popular after MGS4 and his outfit would look awesome on the cover!
It's just after 4 all I herd was ppl talking about how awesome he was as the cyborg ninja.
The fact he became the cyborg ninja aka a rip off of Grey Fox took away the theme of MGS2's ending! That he was going to find his own identity and then became someones rip off! STUPID PLOT!
When it comes to Metal Gear Solid, all I know is some whiny kid replaced Solid Snake in the second game and it pissed fans off. You're clearly the bigger fan than I, since I don't know what happens to him in 4.
You would. You're one of them, Mr Creates a Thread for Every Game He Likes.
Hey! I still have not made a inFamous thread!
Also at least i'm not one of those people who only like Call Of Duty games and say every other game is complete crap.
I like Rayman origins and almost every other Rayman game ,I like Jak & Daxter,Sonic,Mario,Ratchet & Clank,Portal,Team Fortress 2,Sly Cooper,Uncharted,inFamous,Little Big Planet, I like Monkey Island,Sam & Max and other adventure games, and many other games. I do like and play Call Of Duty but i would not call it ''The greatest game series ever!!!!'' I hardly even go on multiplayer anymore. I usually go on Zombies.
I'll agree that the thread making business is almost spam-bot-like.
But I don't mind it so much because you do have some good taste. (Don't go reading too much into that. You have a long way to go before I'll ever see you as a fellow enthusiast)
If you haven't realized by now Ryan, about 84% of everything I say is meant as a joke. And yet you still think I'm serious, every time. Seriously, it's hilarious watching you argue a battle I wasn't serious about. Good times.
I'm a fanboy of certain things, yeah. I love Doctor Who, for example (why else would I suffer The Eternity Clock?), and I'm still vaguely into Star Wars, though not as much as I used to be. I love JRPGs. I love adventure games. I love Assassin's Creed and Dead Space and Prince of Persia (which needs more games, dammit!). I love anime. I love Castle and Have I Got News For You. I LOVE STUFF.
There's nothing wrong with being a fanboy. You just need to know when to turn it down.
I'm putting it here cos it has references to the games in all star.
I seen it yesterday and i have no idea. Personally i'm hoping it's hinting at Jak 4,Ratchet & Clank main series game, inFamous 3 and Uncharted 4. But more than likely it's for All-Stars.
I don't like the covers either - but then, I hardly ever like video game covers. They're usually so bland and generic. I quite like stuff that looks like movie posters. LucasArts, for all their faults, are actually rather good at that - or were, anyway. And of course, I like artsy covers, like the ones what I do.
So yeah, I'm pretty much an insufferable art critic. Sue me.
I like Cole, and Nate's and Sackboy's. As many of you know i am a fan of Jak & Daxter & Ratchet & Clank but Jak's face looks weird and crappy and looks nothing like his gameplay trailer in the game and Ratchet & Clank's design is taken right from All 4 One even through Ratchet & Clank in game is the R&C Tools of Destruction design.
Oh, so you feel like blocking out most of my verbalizations, do you? Well, I for one am heartbroken you would even contemplate such a rash course of action. It devastates me, truly it does, to think that one of my erstwhile colleagues would even entertain the notion of censoring me in such a vile, despicable manner. How dare you. How very dare you. You have offended me in the most egregious possible method, and I shall hear nothing further from you save an honest and earnest apology. Good day to you, sir.

It's not that the covers are just bland and generic. Their design isn't that of a game, rather that of some software application or something, or heck, a PSN card thing. It's not that of a video game boxart.
I mean, the color scheme, the placement of the characters. It all seems like easy Photoshop works with stock footage, not that of a brawler.
Compare the boxart of this game with, for example, Soul Calibur IV, both box versions. Even though, like the PSASBR box, the characters aren't in a dynamic pose, its layout is designed in such a way you actually know it's a game. Now it isn't clear what sort of game is, but at least the boxart is inviting. Take a look at the PSASBR box. You cannot tell me it looks inviting. It says something like, oh hey look, we have something with some characters that are on our PlayStation. Anybody seeing this boxart would think it would just be some shitty-ass game, or heck, not even a game.
I mean, goddammit, at least show some effort in making the boxart. And sure, those aren't the actual boxart, but special limited edition sleeves that go over the box, but that just makes it worse. If the limited edition sleeve looks worse than the regular box-art, it's really fucking bad.

Nah theres not nearly enough culture references and finding clips is impossble.
...well, it's the same as my username here. Only there's no space between the words.
I'll play the beta with you, I sent a request.
Also for people who played the beta who's your best characters out of the six playable characters? Mine are Sly Cooper & Parappa.
Also Coolsome so you yourself are a moron for liking Ape Escape?

And I agree about fans, though I'd replace the word 'fans' with 'people'.
Why am I not surprised. Honestly, fucking fanboys.
It's just after 4 all I herd was ppl talking about how awesome he was as the cyborg ninja.
....I happen to like them.

I agree.

The only one that I really liked was the Skyrim box art. And I think that's entirely because I have a love for simple designs.
creepy pants all the time get some.
How to we go from Playstation All-Stars to this?
