Can always use assistant DMs as well as players, but like I said I'm not showing anything off yet. You can always contact me in PM if you want more info though. Planning on using twitter and facebook as well to keep people in the know.

Anyway it's something that will keep me busy while I am waiting for Episode 2. I love developing games. :)

I wrote a paragraph to slander you for using the term DM because that is only associated with D20/D&D but I'm too stressed from the wait to go through with it. I do admire you for going through with the project though and I wish you the best of luck and many players. You should check out The Written World as it is looking like it will be a really cool writing game.

I just want a $25 steam credit. Some of us Don't have money to spend on games so when I spend a large portion of my gaming budget on The Walking Dead and I'm still waiting for the 2nd episode when I should be playing the 3rd episode it can be quite frustrating. I still check my steam client for The Walking Dead updates and I am really looking forward to episode 2 and beyond. I hope that they make a second season but I should have bought Sam & Max. It's that simple. TWD game is bringing far more stress and pain than the pure exhilaration that I got for playing it the first time. Multiple play-throughs do not ease the suffering. I honestly find it amazing that the stalwart defenders of TTG are still at work. I admire that you guys can keep positive through this all even though it annoys me to no end. Then again you probably have more money than I do to afford more games.

In any case, I am looking forward to The rest of the season and any future endeavors that Telltale games embarks on. I was positively furious for the longest time but now I've almost lost all hope. My anger stemmed from desire for the next episode but now it has almost completely faded. What does this mean? It can only mean that I have lost the zealous anticipation that I once possessed towards this game. I was so excited for it because I love The Walking Dead franchise. Now I simply check for the game and find to no surprise that it still eludes me. Good day.

 YES! I am not as excited now as I was after I played episode 1. I was checking every day for the episode 2 release date. Today is the first time I've checked in 2 weeks. I may still purchase epi 2, maybe, but the allure is GONE! I think an epi a month would be perfect.

way to overhype ttg way too go for absolutly ticking 80% of the fanbase off stuff like this can make or destroy companys rep especially when theirs no freaking communication from the actualy company.

Well...I've used GM (gamemaster) for years, but when it comes down to it, a lot of people just don't seem to recognize it. Shadowrun is GM, GURPS is GM...I mean you're right...but for some reason or another, I say GM and no one gets it. I say DM and they're like, "OOOOOOOOH!" So while I agree with you a lot, actually, I kind of have to say that I sold out in a way. Haha. Thanks for the recommend as well.

And will do Cap'n. Got a bit to go, but when it's done I'll let you and others know.

I first got irked during episode 1's release because they couldnt get it uploaded on their site on the release date pushing most of us off to 3rd party sites to get it. now this fiasco is this gonna be a every episode thing now?

    Probably.

There's a reason we are waiting. The next game does takes place three months later.
  • edited June 2012
thing is tell tale could of easily mis-calculated their server capacity, but since steam / valve have mega bucks and huge server farms (i assume) why not shuffle users over ? it's a smart move instead of telling users to wait in line for hours/days/months for nothing..

The delay absolutely turned me off to this game. The way they did things just reeks of poor planning or a lack of concern for their customer base. This second episode has been on hold for how long now and not a word? If they can't release in a timely fashion or hell even just keep me informed why should I waste my time or money on them?

Whats more disturbing to me though? The fanboyism I see on this site. Its like people are forgetting that we *paid* them money to deliver a product. They don't need your blind fanboyism...Thats what makes developers think they can pull nonsense like this. They need to be told to get their s*it together.

I couldn't agree with you more. There's no accountability for poor performance just a bunch of more hype to be added to the overflowing pot. And in this sense people don't second guess anything these days and if someone does say something they brand him like a heritic. If you could read between the lines you'd notice we're all victims here and just cheering appraisals to an already dysfunctional thread makes you none the wiser.

Its not that fan boys are bad or people are bashing them its the serious freakin lack of communication going on.

Crude but you definitely put this into easily understandable terms.

What has turned me off the most is the LACK OF INFORMATION.
  • edited June 2012
I'm still looking forward to it, but it is a bit frustrating to pay for the entire series up front when they say they will be releasing monthly episodes, and then you wait 2 months and the next episode is still not out yet. Had I known it'd be like this I would've just bought each episode separately. They should've waited to release episode one when they were closer to finishing episode 2, so they knew they would be able to release the 2nd episode in a timely manner.

By the time I play episode 2, I won't be able to remember the decisions I made in the first episode. Kind of loses the whole effect of a game that revolves around making decisions and seeing what the consequences are.

Who's talking about ice cream? If I want it I'm going to get my ice cream :D

    Yes.

Actually, the wait hasn't put me off. The lack of information has. Very unprofessional but not uncommon in the gaming industry to fail to set a release date.
  • edited June 2012
In a way yes. like many other people on the thread it has been more of a lack of communication about the release date. This is my first game I have played from Telltale and I am not "up to date" on their previous releases. I would have thought that the product was merely released monthly and not a "work in progress". I paid for the season and guess I missed the fine print after it stated, "each episode will be released on a monthly basis" that read, "or maybe not".

yet so many people don't know about it ?!

    funny that

Not yet but it won't be long ...

Only if the wait proceeds into July.

Has the 2 months wait for the 2nd episode turned you off?

went to their website, says june 30 in the u.s
  • edited June 2012
Yes, if it doesn't come out within 2 weeks I will not purchase the game and will spend my MS points on something else. I really dont care for the game anymore. It is no fun playing a ep. And then have to wait a few month's.
  • edited June 2012
Stop lying, you will buy it even in 2020 ;p
  • edited June 2012
Sort of. But I bought the season pass so if it ever comes out i'll definitely give it a go. And although I know one purchase doesn't matter in the scheme of things, it's definitely turned me off of Telltale as a company. I really wasn't a gamer to begin with and the lack of info and generally shoddy business methods that this game has seemed to bring out in Telltale has definitely made me regret giving Telltale more money than I ever would've if i'd known this would happen (i.e. purchasing other games during the wait). I suppose it's a good lesson in impulse buys but that was about it for me.
  • edited June 2012
Honestly yes, I pretty much stopped thinking about it all together after a week or so after the "once a month" thing didn't pan out. I think I posted once or twice a week or two after it was late, but for the most part I pretty much lost interest around the end of May.

I actually went to try playing it earlier, to find out episode two had been released, however for whatever reason steam isn't loading it for me, like the game will start up and I will click to continue, but then it will just keep saying loading. So maybe it is a good thing I lost interest, because it doesn't look like I am going to get to play it anyway.

I havent been on this forum for a few weeks because i lost interest in the game with all the waiting.
I figured release of third episode would be sometime around now so i checked this morning and there it was.
I play it and since just about all the original crew got killed i dont even feel like playing episode 4. Anyone else feel the same?
If i didnt already pay for ep4 and 5 i am certain i would not bother buying them.

I guess Clementine alone isnt enough to keep my interest. It feels like a whole new game where i have to get to know a whole bunch of new characters.

I guess telltale bit over more than they could chew with this tailored game and decisions you make will come back later. And the easy way off was to kill everyone. That way they wont have to make alternatives for the decisions you make.
  • edited September 2012
Yeah, I don't like the current cast. Just about all of the OG group is dead now.
  • edited September 2012
I don't like the new casts either. I am only looking forward to killing Kenny and Lilly.
  • edited September 2012
Nah why kill kenny and lilly? then there is really nobody left :(
  • edited September 2012
If it was Lee/Clem/Carley(or Lilly) I would be set. So much for that idea,
  • edited September 2012
yes they killed all people I cared about. Now only Lee and Clementine is left. Stupid. Unfortunately I paid $25 for all episodes and not just $5 per episode... otherwise I wouldnt buy any more episodes. Thats last game I ever buy from telltale games.

That is exactly how I felt after episode 3. Nobody left. I can only trust and care for Clem. I blamed Lilly for the death of Carley and for taking the RV. Kenny was shady to me. Leaving me to die multiple times because I criticized him on his decisions.

I was expecting a bloodbath towards episode 5 but not halfway. I really don't care for our new crew.
  • edited September 2012
Nope looking forward to episode 4 more than ever :). I love how dark and emotional this game actually gets and that they aren't afraid to kill off loveable characters.
  • edited September 2012
Man, this is TWD, characters die all the time.
    And every chapter feels new.
  • edited September 2012
I couldn't give a fuck about Episode 4. probably won't even play it, it's a shame that I already paid for all the episodes though.
  • edited September 2012
LOL, you people got real problems. Grow up.
