Woopsie posted an angry reaction thinking this was the games that deserve TO be forgotten :P my bad.
Completely understandable considering both thread names are so similar. Also, the games that deserve to be forgotten thread is slightly more popular, which is kind of disturbing when you think about it. I don't know if that reflects on people's tastes or on the quality of the games being released.

I think it comes down to taste and the fact that most of us aren't huge on obscurity.
Those words... I remember there was a time when I would be constantly humming them and singing them in my head, and I even wasn't playing the friggin' game! (it was my brother) ... And now, they're in my head again... WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!

Seconded. Great game. Wii sequel wasn't as great, but was still OK.
My only real complaint with the sequel is that you only ran into the original characters once and a while and the game really trolled you with Lloyd for a while...
Not sure if this game is forgotten or not, but I've only ever met one other person (who was not forced to play it by me) who has played this game.
Truly, this is (to me) pretty much my favorite RPG. It's fairly simple by modern terms (no leveling up, no skills, just very specific equipment-related builds and ship classes), but it was really a game that allowed and encouraged you to do as you liked with no real moral high ground that you had to stick to to get the "best" ending. All the endings were different and distinct, depending on your actions, and even after the game was over, you could continue to play and do whatever you liked.
I probably sunk a couple hundred hours into this game as a kid. And even though I started out with a copy that I had obtained from a friend, I bought another using a month and a half allowance money (which I had to mail to them because I didn't have a credit card) because I wanted the developers to have a sale from the good time I'd had. I can't think of any other game that I went to such lengths to pay for.
I loved Myst because it felt like such a foreign and lonely world. I like the idea of being tossed into an existence of no explanation and isolation with many secrets to uncover.

That's fine. I'm not. I think it's bloody fantastic. Also if anyone here dislikes the Dig due to the difficulty, they sure as hell won't enjoy Resonance then. Because holy shit....that game's puzzles.
What surprised me is that Resonance has a 'super' achievement for decoding the Journal... which is, like, one of the easiest puzzles there. There should be a super achievement for completing the fuse wiring puzzle (in the lab near the beginning) instead.
What I like about Resonance is that it's puzzles really make sense. What I don't like about it is that sometimes even when you know what you've got to do, you can't do it because you need a short term memory or right click instead of a left click on an object and stuff like that... which sometimes annoys me.
I still haven't completed the game. But I can say that it's fun

CHAOS ENSUES.
I love the idea.

No one talks about this one anymore...
I would do that.
Has anyone mentioned Psychonauts yet? Pretty sure it's been done, but just in case: Psychonauts.
Also, a little known gem I adored playing through:
It was the Ghostbusters: The Video Game of its day. And I still think its gameplay was better.
Chaka Chaka Pata Pon?
Pon Pon Pata Pon!
Pon Pon Chaka Chaka...
>: D
EDIT: Not even the devil himself can avoid them now! BWAHAHAHAAAAA!!!

Otherwise known as Fatal Frame. Quality game.
KOLO-LIMPA!!

This game is great. But it is dead even though there is a Steam group that claims otherwise.
Did anyone mention it? I really can't be having this game at all.
I wish it were though!
I own 6 copies of this game because I adore it.
I adore you.
Word.

That looks suspiciously like Heart of China.
