I had no idea that each person had preferances....oh well.

I gave to Clem the apple, Doug cheese and crackers, I wanted to give to Lilly some food and crackers but she told me that she didn't want anything from me and I didn't insist so I gave to Carly and she didn't want either so I keep for myself. Ah,and I gave the jerky to Kenny. Katjaa didn't want anything.

I'm sorry for Larry but he didn't eat that day muahahahaha. I didn't give him my axe either.

I hate duck, but I gave him cheese and crackers.
Because realistically I'd make sure the kids eat first.
I fed Clem of course (apple)
I tried to feed Carley, but she declined.
So I fed Mark and Larry.

If you talk to everyone, it makes the choices kind of obvious. It did to me, anyway.

Three people outright state they're hungry: Larry, Mark, and Clementine. The others don't ask for food. So I fed those three, then Duck. (If you offer food to Katjaa, she says to give it to Duck anyway.) I made sure to offer some to Doug too, so he turned me down but remembered it later.

These are the best choices, in my opinion, because you appease everyone. The new guy doesn't need food as much as the others because he just got there. Lilly is appeased when you feed her dad, and Kenny's whole family is appeased if you feed Duck. So no one's disappointed.

I gave Clem and Duck the crackers and cheese, Carley the apple and Mark got the jerky.

Looking after Clem was a no-brainer. Duck is annoying but still just a kid and feeding him kept Kenny happy, too. Carley was looking rough with no sleep and she'd had my back all through episode 1. Mark was helping out a lot (hunting/fortifying the camp) and was clearly fatigued. And Larry... is still a prize cunt. :)

I found Clem, Carley and Mark to be the three most likeable/dependable characters in episode 2. Katja's been nice and reliable too, but she hasn't had a lot to say or do yet.

    Crackers to Clem
    Crackers to Duck
    Apple to Mark
    Jerky to Doug (He refused)
    Jerky to Kenny
  • edited June 2012
I gave Clem the apple first (glad I did, she looooves apples <3 )

Wasnt going to feed one kid and let the other starve so gave Duck the crackers and cheese. This seemed to be enough to please his parents, so no food for them.

Even though I hated Larry at this point, I decided to give him the jerky to try and get in Lily's good books.

I had intended to give the last piece to Doug, but Mark made a rather pitiful comment about the smell of the food driving him crazy, so I gave him the other cheese and crackers. He was helping maintain the wall after all, so I guess he needed the energy.

I did not feed the citrus child
I fed Doug, Mark, Lilly, and the Duck-ster.

And i feel good about my decisions.

/sigh... that was such a hard choice!... I gave the cheese and crackers to the kids, of course, that was a given.. I wanted to give the other two foods to Kat and Lilly(the women) but Kat was hard at work so I gave the jerky to Lilly and the apple to Mark, just cause he was bein a little girly boy, sayin he felt like he was gonna pass out lol. The rest of us manly men can handle it! I was going to be nice and give the apple to Larry just cause he's old, but I was like, naah, he's tough, and will probably get himself riled up and die of a heartattack soon anyways.. I was totally right, lol. But he had good reason for getting riled up this time! :( Dang, I'm kinda feeling sad now... he was an asshole but that was a crappy way to go out! May he rest in peace! lol

Sorry, I hated that guy. :D

As far as posting. Ive been lurking for a little while and enjoying the discussions. I was lucky enough to play Ep2 when it first came out on Wednesday and love it so far.

My first playthrough I thought about who I would feed before I got to actually play because I could only play for a few minutes before work. I was thinking the kids of course, and then Katjaa since she's the only thing we had close to a doctor and I wanted to make sure she didnt collapse. I also thought (because I saved the teacher) I might give it to him since he lost so much blood and would be weakened. Unfortunately, he never woke up.

So, I chose Clem and Duck first. I gave Clem the apple and Duck the crackers. I tried to give to Kat but she refused. I also tried Doug and he refused. So I gave the crackers and cheese to Mark because he was talking about being weak and the jerky to Larry to try to appease Lilly, eventhough I hated giving him anything.

I did not feed the citrus child

Im kind of shocked that you chose not to feed Clem since she's the only one in the game you're really responsible for, lol. Im curious, do you not have an attachment to her?

If by attachment you mean a desire to AXE her a question, then yes. First off Mark said it himself adults need more nourishment then children seeing as the kids dont contribute. And secondly i wish to kill the citrus child off by episode 5.

    That is all.

I cant fathom hating Clementine, but okay. Since you're her caretaker in the game, how is that going to work out? If you try to get her killed, you lose.

Copied this from another thread where I gave the reply.

As for food. I obviously gave Clem and the idiot Duck cheese and crackers, I gave Mark the apple. Larry wasn't getting anything from me at the time, Kat was busy and Doug is a big boy ( he eventually got food anyway afterwards ) I like having Doug around, he does great things and even adds comedy, when he grabbed the basket from Momma St. John his face was hilarious. I tried to give Lilly the jerky, but she said she didn't want anything from me, so I ate it myself.
  • edited June 2012
I fed Clem and Duck first as they are the kids. Then I contemplated giving something to Carley but decided she would understand if I gave food to others instead. I gave my third item to Mark as he seemed the weakest adult and even though I never had any nice things to say about Larry, he got my last piece because even though I didn't like him he was doing the most work by reinforcing the wall.
  • edited June 2012
    - Clem first (obviously) - Cheese and Crackers
    - Duck second (I didn't feed Kenny or his wife because of this reason alone) - Cheese and Crackers
    - Mark - Jerky
    - Lilly (I figured Larry wouldn't mind because I'm taking care of his daughter, but he was still pissed off) - Half Apple
    - I would have fed Carley but she didn't seem to care that I didn't

Well seeing as the citrus child made it through the episode im assuming ive made no folly by my choices. Only time will tell if i can rid myself of this burden without restarting the game.

Clementine and Duck, Kenny and Lilly.

Didn't really wanted to give anything to Doug, but I had to, if i wanted to keep Kenny happy (god you really have to go a long way for that spot on that fishing boat hua?)

And I though I was a good idea to keep both "Leaders" happy, I really wanted to give Mark some food, sins he actually seems like the most trustworthy person in the whole group, but after having finished the playtrough I'm happy I didn't.

First fed the kids, I however hit the wrong key and Clem ended up with Beef Jerky lol. Duck got the crackers and cheese, then after awhile talked to Lilly and gave her the apple. Went to doug and only having the cheese and crackers, he said no so I went over and gave it to mark who had earlier remarked about being weak so figured he would need it more.

heres a question why do you include normal in your name if you want to kill children?
  • edited June 2012
I have no problem with children, as dumb as a bag of hammers as duck is hes still a lovable child, even Carl and Sofia were like able. But the citrus child shall not survive if i have anything to do with it.

I gave food to Clementine (of course, she is always my first priority) Duck, Lilly, and believe it or not Larry, mainly just too see how he would react, and if he would lighten up a bit on me. I actually tried to give food to Carley first, but she refused to take it..

Dude you need to self evaluate. Duck is literally as useless as lint in your pocket, and he is basically a walking calamity, why would I purposely keep him around me, so he can get someone else killed?

the new guys had his camp raided a few days before getting to the motor inn. he was hungry, i give him some to welcome him to the gang lol make the skinny dork feel loved

Because DUck the Foreman offers comedic relief that the citrus child couldn't even hope to understand.

I wanted to give Clem the crackers and cheese, but pressed the wrong button and gave her the Jerky. Clem comes first.

Then gave Duck crackers and cheese. The kids need the food more than the adults, since they are growing. The adults have more fat they can lose.

Gave the apple to Ben. I see him as one of the kids, and I felt like I needed to take care of him. Besides, he just saw his friend getting eaten and his teacher losing his leg. The poor boy was so traumatized! I just had to give him something.

Tried to give Lilly the crackers, but she didn't want them. Decided to give them to Larry, since that's probably what she would've wanted, and I tried to slightly mend our relationship.

I gave crackers to Clementine, jerky to Duck, apple to Kenny, then I tried to give Lilly crackers, but she refused, then tried to give the crackers to Katjaa, but she also refused, ended up giving them to Mark.

If I could do it again, though, I would give food to Clementine, Duck, Doug (But I think he refuses? If so, Larry), and Mark. After offering to Lilly, and having her refuse, though.

Larry - I thought he would be the person most likely to survive.
Although it made no difference as he died when Kenny smashed his head.

Lilly - For the same reason.

    Clem - Duh.

Doug - I tried to give it to him but he refused. So I just kept it for myself.
  • edited July 2012
Clem - Obvious choice (cheese and crackers)

Duck - Easy way to keep Kenny on my side (jerky)

Larry - Probably the guy Lily figured I'd be least likely to give anything to so a chance to prove something to her (cheese and crackers)

Mark - He said something after I gave some food to Larry (half of an apple)

    Clem, Duck, Mark, and Lilly.

Both the children were first because I figured they'd be the most vulnerable. Mark because he was struggling while working on the wall, was one of the three hunters so he'd need his strength for the walks, and steady hands for shooting. Finally Lilly because she was the primary guard of the camp and all the food in the world wouldn't do the group any good if it wasn't secure.

Larry and Katjaa were high up on my list as well. Larry was older and had that heart condition. Katjaa is the camps de facto medic and watches the children. Carly and Kenny both seemed in pretty good shape, at least physically. Ben seemed alright being that he didn't say anything, that I can recall, about being without food for a long time and he's a teenager so I figure he should be among the more resilient of the group.

Gave food first to Clem and Duck (kids need it more and they are our first objective).

Tried to give food to Carly, but she refused. That’s was perfect, so I didn’t had to choose between Kenny and Lilly (good thing I didn’t waste it with Mark or Larry).
  • edited July 2012
On my first go around, I fed Mark some cheese and crackers because he said he almost fell out. Then I went over to Lilly and gave her the half apple. Then I tried to give Kenny some food but he turned me down because I didn't feed Duck. I wasn't going to feed Duck, he could have found some bread crumbs over by a tractor or something. I then went to Katjaa and got the same result. So I gave Larry the jerky and then gave Clem the other cheese and crackers.

So, I wasted two meals on the only two group members that died. Just my luck.

(Just kidding. I almost gave food to Mark, but was trying to stay good with Lilly and Kenny.)

    - Clem and Duck some cheese and crackers.
    - Carley refused the apple.
    - Larry the jerk got some beef jerky.
    - Mark got have the apple.

    Why?
    - Clem is his responsability and a child. So he needs to take care of her.
    - Duck is a child and you want to keep Kenny happy.
    - Carley is a female ... I tried to keep her happy. She refused ... all the better :)
    - Larry is an ass, but he's strong and you want to keep it that way. Also you want to keep Lilly happy.
    - Mark complained a lot about being hungry and I didn't want him to kill somebody or something (how well do we know that guy after all).

    Why not?
    - Kenny's wife is quite heavy. Yes, she's the "doctor", but she'll manage.
    - Kenny did argue a lot with Lilly. No food for him ... punishment.
    - Lilly did argue a lot with Kenny. No food for her ... punishment.
    - Student guy ... who's that? It would be ill advised to give the new group member some food in front of the old ones.
    - Guy with only one leg ... well, I wasn't able to offer him anything and same reason like student guy.
    - Lee? Well, he's urban and that's why he has super powers ... no food needed. Lol ... no, the hero always gives stuff away.

    [UPDATE]
It was my first way through the game so I didn't know what would happen. But I don't see it so much as "wasted" because my reasons were smart and in the end I took the food from the car. So no harm done ...
  • edited July 2012
Clem, Duck (didn't want to but Kenny wouldn't take my food otherwise), Mark, and Kenny.
Since it is TWG, it only figures that one of the guys I gave food to would end up as food. Second playthrough Katja's getting it instead. At least she's got a chance.
