Telltale Devs if you are listening we are giving you a goldmine.

Oh god, don't tell me they are going to start sending us emails asking for more horrid ideas. >.< Perhaps Ducks sees another child get bit for trying to help another >.> and finally goes quiet.

Or how about Duck is killed by a walker somewhere and Clem is the person to find him only she doesn't know that he's turned. She only finds out when she gets within 6" of his lifeless corpse and by then it could be too late.

On second thought probably not dark enough.

    Needs more darkness.

Does anyone care to speculate as to what is happening now at TTG as they try to get the game out? I've never been in the software fulfillment industry, what are the technical happenings behind the curtain right now, and why would it take till now to release? Are there technical reasons, or legal reasons, or business reasons behind the necessity to wait till the end of the day?

I'd speculate that the reason it has been taking so long would have something to do with legality or business.

They've had far more time than they should need to fix the minor technical bugs and glitches.

You lost your saves on the PC version?

    That's strange.

I logged in about an hour ago and my saves were fine.

I think TT crew is just getting drunk...

How do they actually release the game? Does someone log into a server and check a box? Is it on a timer, and set to release automatically? Are they sitting around the office and sipping champagne, and then will break a bottle over a monitor as the game launches? What do you think?

Good luck with the Facebook TWD game.

Seriously though it's a shame you guys lost your saves.

I just don't understand why they had to wait this long? I'm not annoyed really im just confused. I've never known this happen to any other game, telltale or otherwise. Let's just hope that this isn't just another mid-August release date...

    Thanks for the welcomes!

TO ANYONE WHO LOST A SAVE PM ME (or I can PM you if I notice) as I had the very same issue and resolved it myself. A simple google search will help but it was hard to find.

The countdown is nearing it's end.

To this I breathe a final sigh of relief for episode 3.

From this moment on it will only be joy and exaltation.

    Or glorious melancholy.

Eh Telltale hasn't been right in their release dates yet, why should this be different :P

Cutting it awfully close... Either they don't make 9pm EST or they for some reason put it on a timer to make it exact (WHY).
  • edited August 2012
I fear alot of rage in a few minutes when the game doesn't update :D

Guess they are just loving watching people chomp at the bit, so they can twitter all about it. Why do i really expect it to start downloading at 6PST

These last 2 months has been worse than the EP 2 ordeal
  • edited August 2012
Well It's actually impossible for me to play it today, so I'll install it overnight and hope for tomorrow, as long as Telltale's installation process doesn't F up again.

Seriously, I liked the old method of installation that was simply... installing the game, and not having to go in client.

I wonder how many of the "Talking Dead" episode 5 viewer questions are "Why haven't you met a release date yet?"
  • edited August 2012
If you think this is bad, just picture if you only owned an Ipad. They JUST got episode 2.

You guys are so much fun.

I'm not being sarcastic I mean this in every sense.

Even thinking that the game might not release fills me with some sort of ironic happiness.

I know the game will release though.

    It has to.

I just hope there is a nice simple statement released some point in the coming week that would explain what 'went wrong' assuming anything went wrong at all.

I mean it could be something as complex as legal issues to something as simple as the wrong version(a dev only release candidate) being submitted and needing to be axed. Or Valve could have been too busy working on Source 2 coding and Half-life 3 to check their Steam account ;D.
