In fairness, I don't see moral/pragmatic as necessarily being mutually exclusive, except in certain scenarios (e.g. the decision to steal from the car or not, in which case morals lose). Understanding right/wrong is likely to be important if she needs to integrate herself into a "good" group of fellow survivors, i.e. a group that doesn't rape or shoot eat other in the face (bandits, I'm looking at you).

I'd best describe my instruction as "do whatever you need to stay alive, then whatever you can to be decent". But, like I said, first indication the waters are getting muddied in that regard, morals are getting dropped from the curriculum.

The only real option I see being unworkable is the "bubble" option. It's no longer really feasible to try and pretend the world hasn't gone to hell (particularly after Ep. 2), and it leaves her woefully unprepared for life going forward, especially when/if Lee's gone.

Bandits are the Ruthless Option, Pragmatic is the Surviving Option, Morals are the Kill Me Please option. (Morals = Don't kill the Brothers, don't steal the food, Etc*soon to come in ep 3?)

That sums it up, although "Kill Me Please" may be a little too harsh...

I'll update the thread with my new choices come Ep 3 (even if I have to necropost) .

Well, not killing the brothers can be seen as pragmatic as I covered on the first page. Granted, the game seems to treat it as a strictly moral choice (unfortunately), but like I said, I kinda figured that given all the commotion and shooting that the place would have more than its fair share of Walkers anyway (plus, it wasn't that long ago that there were bandits in the area too), so sticking around just for the sake of comeuppance seemed like a bad idea. Discretion's the better part of valor, and all that.

Would you say that killing them would psychologically alter Clem in some way?

This is the thing I'm wondering about. I killed
    Danny
before I knew that she was standing there watching me. I hope she doesn't kill someone and be like "Bad people have to die, right Lee?"

Yeah, I suspect that Clem will make a few choices later on in the season that you influence - like you, I don't want my "daughter" running around murdering, cursing and stealing...

a cursing murdering stealing clem would be an interesting potential character by lees decisions. i honestly think Clem should curse again and let it be up to lee to stop her or not because even if you didn't say shit in the barn she's heard a good amount of profanity [during walker attacks and such]i believe although i might be wrong

We already have kids grown up to be lying, murdering, and cursing in the comics.(6-8 years old!) I feel that Clem should retain her innocence. However, if something like that were to happen, Lee should have the option to stop her.

I think that's quite likely, and that if she does swear Lee could condone, admonish or encourage it. What about alcoholism or an addiction to something? Although they couldn't go too far, I suppose, due to law...

For some reason I imagine an option where Lee "bitchslaps" Clem (to use the term appropriate to my age group) for that behaviour and a random walker in the background defies convention and breaks the fourth wall by shouting "Child abuse in a video game! Help!" just before it is noticed and killed by someone wearing a TTG shirt. :D

nah lee wouldn't do slap her although duck might.

Also clem being an alcoholic or addict would be challenging considering most of the dealers are walkers and alcohol makes your skills sloppy.

Alright then, Duck+slap=child abuse through technicality...

As to the other part of your statement, that would be funny...

Clem: Urr, cood Ah get a [insert slurred name of chosen brand here] ?
    Dealka (walker/dealer): urrgh toooo fiiiingaaaa...
*Clementine casually hands over hand and the dealka devours two fingers*
Clem: Le'ss make thisss wun worf a deaf...

Who says this is off topic?

I dont think keeping a bubble around her is possible in the long term. She's already seen some pretty messed up stuff anyway.

I'm trying to protect and nurture her, but also letting her know that sometimes hard choices have to be made, like taking the food from the car. But also that we dont need to be savages to survive and should only kill when we absolutely have to. Neither brother was in a position to be a threat anymore (one was physically trapped in the barn and one was emotionally destroyed), plus there were an army of walkers closing in, so I thought it was better to leave them to their fate and get Clem the heck out of there without witnessing more bloodshed.

ya know if you side with Lily Clementine watches Kenny murder Larry rather then hiding in the corner I REALLY hope that comes back in a later episode like Kenny goes to talk to Clem and she backs away from him

That's not dissimilar to my current take on everything :)

Yeah, that would be cool, and good for making our protective instincts come to the fore/raise our hackles, especially if he mouths off at her as a shocked response. If he legitimately threatened her - well, let's just say the others wouldn't be shocked if the found out about that murder, or if my Lee confessed to torturing people. I'd probably join your society, too...

if Kenny threatens Clem then i guess it'll be time for modders to replace andys character model with Kennys in the punching mini game

In this, we are in agreement. Perhaps if we give TellTale an incentive they could include this mod standard, with voiceovers?
Btw, did you punch Andy? I did the first time, but on my Doug one, I didn't cos I could see his face unmarked when I abandoned him...

If this happens, bloating his face seems to be underwhelming.

Waiting for him to flip you over and throw punches is easier - click (press your equivalent button) the hotspot and it's over, with no bruises.

    This.

The whole "Don't you walk away from me" bit sounded truly epic.
All it needs is some slowmo with suitable music and it's a hit.

Basically, well as long as the person deserved it. I really dig the whole Vigilante thing, and in a world with no rules... Someone has to take the role of the Regulator.
