Paid 100€ for mine, and it still is a piece of shit. 250$ seems to be the absolute minimum for a decent player (a PS3, unfortunately).

Well, I was referring to an optical drive, really. So you'd have to run it through your computer and then hook up your computer to the TV to watch stuff on your TV. If you get only the player (not the burner) it's not that expensive. You just make up for the cost with a bit of hassle. And, of course, you have to be able to install it.

I've added three films to my collection: A Beautiful Mind, Amelie, and The Road. This should be entertaining.

Anyway, sometime when I get the time, I'll post up some pics of my DVDs and Blurays, I guess. But I'll post individuals so people can see what I have.

I've been ripping my parents' movie collection (using DVDFab HD Decrypter, FixVTS and Handbrake) to .m4v's, to store store on their network attached storage (HDD attached to their home network). It's going to take me forever because they have a ton of movies, TV shows and home videos.

My parents have an AppleTV, iPads and iPhones and to be honest, if they don't have their movies ripped, I would bet real money that they'd much more likely watch Netflix or TV than take the time to rifle through their many Case Logic cases and stare at a cabinet full of Amaray cases in order to find something to watch.
