Why would we need another one? We already have coolsome! XD
  • edited April 2013
I had sort of forgotten about it, but I'm always reminded when I try to post anything from my phone: Tapatalk support would be extremely nice. Look I even made a post about a while back.

Wait... coolsome isn't the forum pet?

No, he's the forum 'awkward friend we tolerate because he occasionally says something funny'.

Once in 10 years is not occasionally.

Compared to some people on this forum it's down right rapid.

I think that increasing the up time of the forums would be a major plus. As it is now the forums are always down for an hour between 10 and 11 CET. In addition they're usually down a lot of the time until around 14 CET, and if they aren't they're laggy as hell.

The beta forum didn't have the downtime issue, so I would guess it'll be fixed when the new site launches.
  • edited April 2013
Well it was the one thing the new forum was good for. Posting during the downtime.
I am not convinced the downtimes will be gone after the swap though.

I will post so much between one and two in the morning. SO much.

Well the downtime is not 2 am here. it's 10am. And I would post at this time. Funny thing is: I see it EVERY BLOODY FRICKING day.

I don't know. This post of his is on my top three list of funniest things I've read on these forums. Probably less funny taken out of context though.

Guys srsly there coming back any second any advice!?

Dude, just give him a blunt and let hilarity commence.

I get the downtime as well, and it's a right pain in the arse, since I work afternoons/evenings, so the time I'm most likely to post is EXACTLY when that hits. As our little German heretic said, that's the only thing the new forum really seemed to actually improve.

Actually, I wasn't really joking that much. I'm usually awake and internetting around that time.

Ok, this is a bit off-topic but I had to go on a hunt to find the other two posts on my top three list. I didn't remember much about the actual contents and hadn't read them in a few years, so it wasn't easy but here they are:

    www.telltalegames.com/forums/showpost.php?p=121737&postcount=54
    www.telltalegames.com/forums/showpost.php?p=115459&postcount=38

If ShaggE took those game ideas to Kickstarter I would pledge good money for them.

Well, if coolsome isn't the forum pet, who is it supposed to have been?

    Doodo?

It was unfortunate, but sometimes you just have to put your pet down when they get old and start misbehaving.

What you did there. I see it.

It was for the best. Doodo's are supposed to be extinct anyway...

I still think they should make Tomp a mod and then revoke his mod status before he comes back.

There's a special place in hell for people like you....

If it's a kids movie then do they go to double hell?

Have you told the powers that be that many of the regulars here will leave if they turn it into a Reddit clone?

I don't think we're going to stop it at this point. It's all about what's popular.

Will pencil in "this Summer" as "leaving Telltale forever and never thinking about coming back" then.

Dang the only problem I thought the new forum had was just it being hard to find new posts(which I'd hope could be fixed in the months it has been tested), what problems did you guys have with the site?
  • edited May 2013
My main problem with the new forums in addition to that was that is was completely unusable on my phone. There was a floating top menu which took up most of the screen and modal windows that was too large for the screen and kept re-centering so that they were almost impossible to close. Puzzlebox has said that they're working on making them more mobile friendly though, but I don't know if that's a priority. I've more or less made the Double Fine forums my new home anyway, so if the new forums turn out to still be useless when they go live, that's probably me gone as well. I'm only here for the people now anyway.

Since the Kings Quest game is cancelled, wouldn't it be smart to just get rid of the section or move it to telltale classics?

How is having a forum where new posts are buried underneath pages of old posts popular?

How does it help to foster community?

I say we take the new forum...and push it some place else!

I believe there was no need for her to communicate again what these individuals have already communicated themselves.
