Not only I had to wait (again) forever to get to play WD ep 3 for PS3 in Europe, now that I finally could try to enjoy it, all of my save games are gone. Just gone, with no traces left. Yes, I should have tried to back them up, but not like I could anticipate this sort of thing to happen. Replaying seems to be the only option, but certainly not a preferred one, since I already played through the previous episodes 3 if not 4 times. Now all of that was for nothing. I love the gameplay and the story, but all of this is getting so frustrating I am considering not to buy their games anymore (not just yet, bought a season pass).

So what am I supposed to do now? :/

All saves corrupted when playing Episode 3 on a third slot on PS3. So, I lost 'em all again and I can say that don't do 3 save slots, create another user or something but you don't have to make a new online ID. Just make sure you're not using all the slots because it seems that whenever they release a new episode, this will happen when they all progress onto the latest episode.

    I'm pretty disappointed :(

After watching some youtube playthroughs, it got me interested enough to purchase the first episode and try it for myself, on my PC

Some minor bugs in the cutscenes, not a big deal. But whenever I pull up the menu for the game, thats it. Gone. I go to "Return to Game" and it spins me right back to the very beginning. I even tried to exit, and rather than exiting the game, it restarted again. I had to do a hard-off on my computer to get out of it. Ctrl-alt-deleting the program didn't work.

How could they let this kind of game-breaking bug happen? It sounds like its been going on for awhile from the sounds of it. I can't spend hours sitting infront of it playing beginning-to-end. I was looking forward to playing whenever I could, picking up where I left off, etc.

Has there been ANY attempt made to patch this game yet?

I'd bring up a separate thread in the Support Forum for this or send an email. Sounds pretty unique to be hidden in this.

Well, I downloaded the game onto my macbook as well. Thankfully, it seems to be functioning fine on that. Just not my PC.

    -sigh-

I had a similar issue, I replayed both episodes and now my game has messed up yet again and isn't recognising my progress past episode one.

To be honest I'd wait for a response for these bugs to be fixed before wasting another 4-6 hours of your life.
    Seconded.

    Thirded.

    Fourthed.

In all seriousness, don't bother. Just play the next episode from its beginning. You'll be asked if you want the computer to randomize your decisions, since it won't recognize there's anything to draw on. You'll have to say 'yes', since it otherwise won't allow you to continue, and play from there.

If it makes you feel better, this is how the pc version plays regardless.

[And, cue MoA to show up try to be insulting in 3... 2... 1...]

I know! Almost every time I try to play The Walking Dead (PC) it doesn't respond. :(
