Jeesh! Boy did this take a turn to the dark side. I'll stay on the positive side seeing the tweets/reactions as a good sign of things to come. I like the reactions myself. It's good to catch a glimmer of what to expect and they keep me guessing.
For me, the reactions are better than a trailer as saying "prepare to be sad and overjoyed" makes my mind wonder about what that really means where seeing that moment in a trailer kind of takes out the imagination.
PS: Who ever changed the topic title.. Don't do that crap. Adding (just another tease) at the end made it sound like I was complaining about the tweet which I was not.

I didn't change the title but I suspect that it was changed to keep people from jumping to conclusions that a big spoiler or release date was revealed.

well should we even be looking for info yet?? or check back tomorrow kinda thing. Everyone wants to know;)
I did that. And Jake is not mistaken about the reason.
But I don't want you to be judged wrongly for it. If you can think of a better title which still avoids the confusion, I'll gladly change it again.
How about complaining and b*tching about twitter posts by game testers
On another note I have to agree with most people reading all these tweets talking about how epic/sad/awesome the ending of a game no one else has played is getting a tad annoying and only driving a wedge between telltale and the fans of the walking dead series. Although one thing they are doing is building it up for the retail release for those who haven't been playing it all along
I will be the first to defend Telltale if someone says they are a horrible company because they are a great one that makes amazing products at modest prices and do an amazing job in numerous areas where other companies fail. That being said, Telltale's worst area is by far establishing release dates and yes, it's very understandable that the certification process makes it much harder to establish one, but they should pull back a little with the "very soon" estimates simply because it still doesn't appear everyone is on the same page.
Certain employees are saying a release date "should" be here this week, while the twitter says the game itself will be here very soon, leaving fans to wonder what "soon" exactly means. It seems very contradictory to say the game will be here very soon while it is stated elsewhere that a release might be established this week. When the twitter is floored with testers and reviewers about how awesome the game is and slightly spoiling the context of the story, that's what irritates a lot of people in conjunction with the whole release process.
Telltale is a great company that truly works hard to give their fans the best products they can deliver, but this is one area where they could really improve upon. If they are not sure, just remain silent and fans will be fine for the most part. Overall, I'd say this more of pet peeve for most fans because the things Telltale does right by far outweighs the things they do wrong.

Hehe.:o Thank Gawd for PS+ and the cool games it gives to take my mind off of this one for a bit. I really haven't been upset with a TWDG release since the release of the second one. I'm sure the final episode is coming up shortly though. I don't visit the Twitter page and I'm glad I don't from what people have been saying about the testers and reviewers lately.
I think TellTale does an amazing job on their games. And to be honest, the wait between episodes kind of gives it that right feel to it. If it were all to come out so soon, then you could finish it up quickly, wouldn't have the same feel to it. Waiting between episodes can cause you to wonder about the next episode and get quite excited, just like Episode 5 has done.

I think the wait also makes the characters that much more valuable because players develop more of a connection with them over the months instead of 10 hours or so and allows the game to be that much more emotional and complex.

I'm not disagreeing with either of those statements. I believe Telltale has done an awesome job so far, my main complaint is constantly seeing new posts and tweets from people who have been testing the game. I agree it IS building excitement but it's also pissing quite a few people off with some of the "details"(not exacts but the generalizing of them) that are being given away by some those tweets and posts. I mean c'mon what is really left to the imagination when you read a tweet saying how sad and unexpected an ending was. Yes it keeps you in suspense but it also gives away that you better be prepared for some seriously screwed up happenings.
Man i really did not mean to write a paragraph on this I just wanted to make myself perfectly clear.

I agree with you actually. I was just saying that the wait itself has benefits, but I agree that the tweets are getting a little annoying given that a release date has yet to be established. I will say that it's almost funny in a way because you have all the testers and reviewers tweeting and then fans will go crazy and ask if it's out yet only for the testers to say it is....only for them so far.
The best was when Gary Whitta tweeted "Now it's my wife's turn to play it." It seems like everyone except the fans have the game at this point; not really a complaint from me, but I did find it funny when Mrs. Whitta came out of nowhere and gave her impression of the episode and fans react with "Oh, come on, give us a break". It's pretty comical actually when you look at it in sequence.
Telltale are *snip*, release the goddamn episode all ready jesus !!!!!!!!!
Excuse me? Telltale is not shitty. Yes, the wait and the repetitive tweets are kind of annoying, but that doesn't mean TTG is shitty. You should be grateful they are even releasing Episode 5 this month, hell even sooner than they said.

Their customer service is shitty. Multiple people ( including me ) had issues and no response from them. The way they went about not keeping people in the loop, and always using vague language about release dates is shitty. And yes it is sooner than they said in october, but not sooner than they advertised and said when most people bought the game in march and april.
Yeah, I've always wanted to test for Telltale. Do you have to live in their area?
You have to live on Twitter, a planet far far away, yet really close. You'll get all games for free and the only thing you are obliged to do is trying to spoil it for paying customers.
No, no i will not. The is a extreme chance i might buy a season 2 disk, but more than likely, i will never buy from this company again. The only reason i bought all the episodes is i have this thing about finishing games. I for damn sure will not do this eposidic shit again.

You were made well aware it was episodic before buying the game.

hashtag #dontmentionTWDep5
I don't get it.
it's a play on words using twitters own name about getting the community up in arms

Nothing was spoiled yet. Just the repetitive tweets from the "special fans" saying it's sad and stuff like that.
*(Tester Update and Reaction) should be fine.
I really want to see
It will definitely get released next week!

-being certified
-nearing certification
something:(
Well the only details that have been out recently is Gary Whitta said that the Walking Dead Wrap Party happened, so probably means sometime soon.
confirmed
Yup, just read it on TTG's TWDG Facebook page.
And iOS?! Fuck me that's some big arse catch up right there!

*knowing nod*
I actually live really close to where TellTale works. I would love to test for them.
