Just heard about the win, congratulations guys. Still pretty shocked that a small studio made a game that wrecked all it's triple-A competition. It was one helluva story and I'm looking forward to Season 2!

    No pressure.

Well hot damn, I honestly did not think it was possible, the stack of tripe-A titles seemed too much to overcome.

But damned if I'm not glad to be wrong.

Congrats TTG, you deserved it all and then some, here's to making Season 2 all that the first was and even more!

Even with all my doubt, it's a day one purchase.

I'm super proud of everyone who has been at Telltale for the last 7 years working towards this..there has been many ups and downs but surely this is Telltale's finest moment. Well deserved for all the hours everyone at Telltale puts into making these great games and pushing the industry forward.

As much as i hate VGA on Spike it's still a well deserved award for TTG because it was simply a best game this year (i liked Dark Souls for PC a little bit more but it's not this year game afterall) so congratulations !

Congratulations Telltale!!! WOW!! Game of the Year.

Your game is a jewel, the story is the best of the generation with RDR for me. I hope the new season will soon come to leave, I have wanted to play it XD.

I hope that in season 2 of TWD do them Spanish subtitles and here also ask a new season of Jurassic Park with brilliant mechanics of TWD. :)

Wow i voted for them but i honestly didnt expect them to beat the big titles such as ME3

Goes to show how important story and characters really are in a game and how TellTale shines at both :D

So happy for TTG and TWD in general, it just keeps getting bigger and bigger.

Also very glad Melissa Hutchison got an award for her brilliant role as Clemintine.

    Bring on Season 2.

I kinda did NOT see this coming. I was hoping it was going to win VGA GOTY, but I was also thinking that it wouldn't win due to Ubisoft, because they were the big AAA publisher with AC3, and usually the big AAA game would win. Then, when I heard that The Walking Dead won, I just couldn't believe it! A downloadable game, based on a very popular franchise, won against 3 other big AAA games and another downloadable game (which also did really strong, considering).

I just erupted in excitement, as I thought Telltale had deserved it. I congratulate them in a massive win not just for them, but for downloadable games, survival-horror games (it kinda counts as one, in my opinion), and the main genre Telltale makes these games for... ADVENTURE games. Just a fantastic win.

But, I thought Dave Fennoy (Lee) should have won for Human Male voice, but at least Melissa Hutchinson (Clem) won!:)

And the Studio of the Year win? Nice touch.

And who said the adventure game was dead?

What did Telltale win, you may ask? Well, let's see:

    Game of the Year
    Studio of the Year
Best Adapted Video Game (no duh!)
    Best Downloadable Game
Best Voice for a Human Female- Melissa Hutchinson (Clementine)

    BIG VICTORY!!!!:D

I didn't think it would get past Dishonered, but I'm glad. Now please use this success to make an even better Season 2! (Hint hint: impactfull choices please:) )

Congrats to the team (commiserations to Dave because he was robbed by Handsome Jack). Thoroughly well deserved, but please, please, please address the saved game bug now. There shouldn't be any need to copy preference files across from Steam to documents in order for the game to see saves.

Didn't think the top-tier studios could be beat but DAMN TellTale, you guys knocked the socks off of the entire VGA's. Congrats to each and every one of you!!

Knowing the Spike VGAs, I just assumed Black Ops II or Halo would win everything including Game of the Decade.

Does anyone know where to watch yesterdays Game Awards? Spikes webpage doesn't allow non-US to watch any of their videos.. (how I hate that procedure) and I haven't found an alternative yet.

    *Facepalm*

This game should be closer to winning Novel or Movie of the year, then it should be winning GOTY.
  • edited December 2012
This is so fucking epic !
  • edited December 2012
Wow, this movie was so good it won Game of the Year! :p

I really hope Telltale realizes just how amazing they are. The Walking Dead is by far the greatest game I've ever had the pleasure of playing, absolutely amazing job. I can't fathom how amazing Telltale is.
