Metal Gear Solid/Rising thread

First i'll say i'm a little shocked that coolsome has not made a MGS thread yet. Then again i'm shocked he has not made a Ape Escape thread ether :P. Anyway on topic i'll be honest, i have only played 3 Metal Gear games. I have played a part of the boat level on MGS 2, I have played about the first 10 minutes of MGS 4 and i'm about to finish Metal Gear Rising so that is mainly my main reason of making this thread because let me say that i think this game is just excellent. I love the music and i really love the music during the boss fights and the gameplay and story itself is pretty good.

Now if i had to say 2 bosses in this game i hated it would be
Armstrong who was a bit overpowered but when you learn how to counter his moves he's ok i guess.
and
Monsoon because i thought it was a pain having to counter him and there are parts where you can't attack at all.

I also enjoyed the characters with my favorites being Raiden,Kevin,Wolf,Courtney, and Sunny.

I do have the MGS Collection for PS Vita so i might start playing MGS 2 & 3 sometime.

Anyway feel free to talk about anything Metal Gear Solid/Rising related :)

Edit:Now i have finished Metal Gear Rising ;)

    I know, what i mean is he didn't make a general MGS thread. Those were about certain MGS news and games.

    Fair enough, i admit i should have said about Simpsons threads (BTW coolsome i was joking you do post threads that have meaning and have reason to be talked about but you can't say you have not made threads about Simpsons references :rolleyes: )

    I only care about Metal Gear if Snake is involved.

    So, I'm dealing into this thread.

    EDIT: Just had an orgasm. Although some of that trailer is brilliant Kojima nonsense.

    It depends when its set. Big Boss was in a coma before His losses at Outer Heaven and Zanzibarland
    thats when his DNA was taken to clone him

    Well the trailer did say two phantoms were born so that would be Solid and Liquid, I'm thinking, as well as a timeframe when a younger Ocelot could be in play.

    Also right at the end
    Big Boss has Zadornov fake hand which made the V sign and fire off.

    I think this is building up to a remake/retcon of Metal Gear 1 and 2 (maybe on the same game). If they are I hope they change Big Boss being defeated by a can of deodorant.

    On March 27, 2013 at GDC 2013, Kojima officially confirmed that Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain were one and the same, and that the final title was going to be Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.[29]

    Just incase anyone wss confused about 2 MGS trailers with different titles...ik I was.

    Ok, so there's actually two games here, according to Konami. Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, which is a prequel, and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, which takes place 9 years later.

    It happens after peace walker...we may see the beginning of outer heaven. Also peace walker takes place after les infant.

    But Liquid said the DNA was taken when Big Boss was in a coma and wiki says Ground Zeroes part is in 1974 and Les Enfants Terribles took place in the early 1970s.

    GameTrailers has an interview with Mr Kojima who, among other things, explains why there's no David Hayter.

    They Triplets were born in 1972.
