I'd say the St. John's. They mark the end of the happiest time the group would spend together. The visit to the dairy costs Lee's group Mark and Larry. Being trapped in the meat locker not only stressed out Larry to the point of having a heart attack, but compelled a freaked out Kenny (and Lee) to smash his head in. Larry's death is a major catalyst in Lilly's breakdown, resulting in Carley/Doug's murder. The St. John's started the group down a dark path... the entire group is shaken and changed after that incident. Kenny hardly treats people the same after that... Clementine is more fearful... You get the picture.

Ben wins hands down for the downfall of the group. Tensions were already at a boiling point after the death of Larry, and his stealing only caused the emotionally unstable Lilly to crack and kill either Carley/Doug, Kenny to breakdown from the loss of his family, causing Chuck's death due to his cowardice, causing Brie to die due to his wrongful timing and lastly, Kenny's according to my playthrough.

Putting all those aside, he is an utter liability to the team with his cowardice and weakness and even till the end, didn't do anything that redeemed himself.

To all those who support him, I can't for the life of me figure out why. In times of danger is when the true nature of the person is shown. By leaving Clementine to be killed by zombies who was his best friend...just shows how much "goodness" he has in him

    1. He brought his friend to the inn, who turned into a zombie
    2. He stole supplies
    3. Which caused Duck to get bitten
    4. And Lilly to kill Carley
    5. And Katjaa's suicide
    6. He left Clementine for dead
    7. He removed the axe from the door
    8. Causing Brie's death
    9. And his own
