No Going Back (Kenny)
when we get to episode 5, a montage of all the places that the player traveled to in season 1 taken over by walkers (Pharmacy, Dairy farm, Motel etc.) and once it shows the ally way were Bens corpse rest and multiple walkers. A walker steps on a familiar hat and when the camera pans up, the walker is Kenny.

No Kenny escaped.

I believe, whether it's Ben or Christa Kenny tries to save, Kenny manages to escape, and is now living in the north Carolina Rockies.
I believe he'll eventually find Clementine, or visa versa, take her in and raise her as his own, and become the next playable character and protagonist of the 3rd season.
Kenny is a good man.
And it's often the good that last the longest.
That's because they often have something to live for.

If Kenny does appear and will still be a good guy then he will probably die in episode 5 saving Clem.
For some reason I can see telltale doing this scenario, if Kenny dies saving ben (then Lily will appear in ep.2)
and if Kenny saves Christa while she's trapped in the building he escapes (then Kenny will appear in ep.2)

Wow that would be a seriously cool idea, only problem is they would probably do it in chronilogical order so the alley way clip wouldn't last for more than a few seconds, and I'm sure telltale would want to give that moment a bigger impression than a second passover on his hat.

Or, the fact that Telltale said his fate would be explored in Season 2, which is more than enoguh reason to believe that he mgiht be back in Season 2.

Not saying that he isn't wrong, because he definitely is, and both "sides" have done bad things, but so far, the "Lilly" fans seem worse.
It's no reason. I want Kenny to be alive, but to say his fate "will be explored" basically means nothing; It means he could be alive, dead, or walker.
also to note their is evidence to support hes still alive ESPECIALLY after someone went digging into the games files and found stuff Kenny related for Episode 2.....

There's no way that a walker would go from Savannah to North Carolina, so it's very likely that he will be alive in Season 2.
