no Germany does too and so do alot of countries

not really reliable since it is wikipedia but i does show most of the stuff i think
Fuck I hate the Australian classification board. I cant remember exactly what it was but Beyond: two souls was rated R for referenced sexual v… moreiolence. Actually I think that was Metro: last light ( that was R too). Anyway what the does that mean . Also yes, Beyond; two souls and metro: last light was R as well. P.S I live in Australia
I believe in using classifications as an educational tool. There should absolutely be a warning on each game telling people what kind of possibly disturbing content they will be dealing with. Then it should be up to the parent if the player is below a certain age. When a game is restricted or forced to be censored, then the classification board has gone too far.
This
I was at E3 where i met a guy who was doing studies om how gaming aids developement of things like hand eye co-ordination, lateral thi… morenking, problem solving ability etc.
Someone who's goes postal after playing Postal is a fucking nutbag who would've found an excuse.
The classification thing really sucks ass for you guys. Australia is an awesome place. You guys deserve to get your games when everyone else does. If it's games are downloaded straight from the developer over the internet or on steam or something they should be classification free.
I don't believe in classifications anyway. They're no substitute for good parenting.
well season 1 was never submitted in Australia so microsoft and sony were not allowed to sell it but steam still sold it they can only sell censored versions i think the only game i have seen that can't be sold on steam here is manhunt
Australia is known to censor violent games, or games that have drug usage. The Classification Board from Australia members are 60 year woman who even censored Hello Kitty Island Adventure for being too scary for children.
Man that sucks. Never knew Austria was such a communistic country when it came to video games. Seriously once you start censoring because someone thinks the people can't handle it where do you stop.
First that gun grab they did a few years back and not this. Viva la revolution!

No, it can't, but I'd imagine you'd have to use a proxy to get the uncensored version of Ep 2 from the TTG website, because it would redirect their AU customers to an AU only download. And yes, steam is a bitch, they will only release the censored version for us (Like what the did with Left 4 Dead 2).
Are we sure this is a censorship thing? Puzzlebox mentioned something about Telltale sending in incomplete versions of their games to be rated. Maybe they did that and then just added in something in later that required the rating to be modified. Here's what puzzlebox originally posted:
To expedite the release process for an episode, we often send an unfinished version of it to ratings bodies. As long as all the blood and gore and language and stuff is already in there, it's enough for them to give a rating without the product actually being ready for release.

Sure, but I don't think it's anything to get worked up over. I mean, 400 days and TWAU: Smoke and Mirrors were "modified" but I haven't heard anyone complain about it or even identify exactly what, if anything, was changed. At the end of the day, A House Divided is still rated R18+, so it's nowhere close to being sanitized. If any changes were made at all, I doubt they would be the kinds of things that would compromise the artistic integrity of the game or anything like that.
So, can someone tell me what the big problem will be?
Being Australian as well. I'm just curious to know what will happen if we get the censored version.
Will it be weak? Will we miss parts that will be in the uncut version?
Might be a stupid question, but i'm just curious to know what will happen because if it's just less blood, then I don't care really as long as I get the full episode.
Hey guys! Don't worry, the episode hasn't been censored or changed in any way for Australia. Not totally sure, but I think the reason it says "modified" may be because Episode 2 is considered a kind of DLC and it potentially modifies the rating for the season as a whole... I don't know really. But rest assured that Australia is getting the exact same version as the U.S.
I'm not Australian, but that was a great letter. The kind of letter that would make anyone with common sense look twice and reconsider that classification system.

Talk about a freedom infringed upon by the government.

I sent a letter to the classification board, reading this:
"To whom it may concern,
I am an adult living in Australia. As such, there is… more a R18+ classification for video games for games not suitable for children. However, according to your classification on 'THE WALKING DEAD: SEASON 2 - EP 2, A HOUSE DIVIDED', the game has been modified to fit into the R18+ rating. I am a working and paying man, and I do not see why R18+ games should be modified in the first place, there is a reason why it was given the R18+ rating. Here is a link for an interesting and relevant Youtube video I have found:
On top of this, games like GTA V have not been censored even smaller games (compared to GTA V) such as 'THE WALKING DEAD: SEASON 2 - EP 2' and 'State of Decay' are censored.
It seems like your mentality is that people will just copy what happens in games. Does everyone who plays GTA V become a Pimp? No. Does everyone who plays 'The Walking Dead: Seaso… [view original content]

Damn. That sucks.

And they steal from you :O
Can any Telltale staff explain this for us please? sigh Now I sort of understand what people mean when they say our country sucks...
don't worry our country is awesome our government on the other hand sucks ass
Sexual violence?
Oh those assholes at the bar.
Never got that far on my playthrough, I used the ghost thing to shut those motherfuckers down real quick, must've smashed everything in that bar.
I mean really, I set someones house on fire cause they locked me in a cupboard, you gonna come at me like that?

I'd say our country has the potential to be awesome if the government steering it didn't suck. Otherwise it's pretty average for a western nation.
You know I'd like to blame the government, but it was the majority of the public who voted for this government so I think I'll blame the people.

*Australia.
Seriously? Australia is basically a continent, Austria is a tiny country in Europe >.>
And also there never was a 'gun grab' in Australia (as far as I'm aware).

"Shit the board doesn't like".
Definition: Fun or meaningful entertainment of any kind.

Okey dokey

ANZAC soldiers died to preserve Australia and it's freedom. This is how modern Australia repays them?
Do you know if the game is still censored if you bought it on Steam or on the TTG Website ?
A second hand hard copy maybe?
I'm not Australian but there shouldn't be a law against someone selling their own property.
Your probably better using a proxy to download it from the US site?
So, can someone tell me what the big problem will be?

Im am 100% behind of this letter. Stop. The. Censorship.
Oh thank god. Thank you for the response! It really feels better knowing that we're not getting an censored version of one of my favorite games.
God bless you!
"God bless you, too."

Oh, I thought we were reacting that scene... sorry.
Thanks so much for clarifying this Puzzlebox, we were all pretty worried about how the story might have been changed for us.
Thank God thanks for the response puzzlebox much appreciated
