Huh, I didn't even know he could die. I really hope Telltale doesn't do what they did for season 1 where your choices can only prolong character deaths, that would be annoying.
I don't want to jump to conclusion just yet, but i think Carver may be on the rights on this game and the whole group we start with was the … more"bad guys", you never knew what made them leave and every time you ask they give you a cryptic answer.(I'm guessing they had to kill some of Carver's men to get out) Carver just plain out said they are not worth trusting...
I don't know, this group just smells fishy to me, the only "good" guy in the group is Luke and even that Telltale maybe trying to pull a big twist on us.
Everyone's saying Kenny seems different but i always thought he was the same, so the dialogue with he's new girl came a bit strange to me, he was always a short fused red neck(kinda like an older version of Nick) and he still feels the same to me.
What i'm kinda worried is does 400 days really matter in the story, it seems to be getting out of place now.
If you look at this now, Clementine couldn't be in a worse group.
The adulterer, the thief, the screw-up-everything guy, the I-raise-my-daughter-the-way-I-want guy, the Duck female version, and let's not forget about Luke, who's probably caused this whole shit with Carver's community.
My personal opinion, is Kenny moved some of the rubbage out of the way in the alley and found a manhole like Lee went into in episode 4. Or, if he died in the building, then he escaped down the stairs.
FUCK BONNIE.
Rebecca was a bitch, but she didn't betray the group or put them at gunpoint.
i'll treat her awfully and kill her first chance I get
I EVEN BET LELAND DIED BECAUSE OF HER UGLYNESS.
I Thought it was good, I could have been longer. And there is something really wrong with Kenny And I hate Bonnie! I really wanted to kill her. But this was definitely worth the wait!
I Thought it was good, I could have been longer. And there is something really wrong with Kenny And I hate Bonnie! I really wanted to kill her. But this was definitely worth the wait!
Surrendering is actually interesting because it allows you to learn more about the characters history, Carver reveals that Alvin killed a guy named George "just because you didnt like me". Its strange that Alvin earlier chastises Nick for murder
* How many people can you save (if at all) in the last scene?
* What happens if you decide to look for Luke first before shooting?
Peter and Alvin died at me.
Yeah, Rebecca's bitchy attitude is understandable considering I grew up with mostly women, so I wasn't that mad at her or Bonnie...okay maybe I was a little mad at Bonnie, but still :P
I loved this episode. So many emotions! I shed a few tears when I saw Kenny. I felt like I made a bunch of horrible choices in this episode though, lol. Everything was okay with my choices until Matthew died. I was so mad at that, I went back to see if I could save him. I soon realized that I couldn't.
After that, I felt like all my choices stunk. I told Kenny I couldn't vouch for the entire group and hurt Luke's feelings. I then sat with Luke at dinner hurting Kenny's feelings. I can't win! lol
I also gave up because I thought they were going to kill Carlos. The only people that died that could have lived in my play through was Johnny (the bad guy), so I guess I didn't do horribly.
Side note: did anyone notice the inconsistency in the preview at the end of episode 1 and the actual episode 2? For example, Matthew is alive and well standing next to Walter in the preview at the end of episode 1, which does not happen in the actual episode.
I have a theory, but what if Kenny killed Luke....? I mean, I like Kenny, but isn't it also possible?? If you chose to look for Luke and Kenny, and you ask Kenny where he is, Kenny does seem a little nervous. It depends on how you see it, I suppose; I tried it from both ways, where Luke left on purpose, and then I also found that it's also plausible for something to have gone down between the two during their search.
Luke is supposed to be in the next chapter, from what the wiki says (although who knows how reliable that is), but c'mon, he and Clemmy have the potential for more badass zombie scenes ^_^ big bro Luke lol
I would really like for this episode to have a greater impact due to my choices the ones that decided who got to live at the end and by that I mean I hope they don't end up killing Alvin and Nick by the next episode. I thought it was a great episode 2! I was 99% sure Kenny would show up but when he did I was just smiling like an idiot it was a great moment in the game. Forgave Rebecca she's having a real tough time with this baby situation obviously, she didn't seem like a bad person even in the beginning, she was just..bitchy. I think Bonnie is one of the good ones just easily manipulated but it was frustrating to see her on carver's side, sad to see Walt go though.
I've had a bad taste in my mouth over this episode since I played it, but it took me a bit to finally realize why, other than the lack of a "Run or fortify, they're still chasing us!" option at the lodge. The characters' actions are just askew compared to the actions of real people.
Rebecca and everyone else suddenly being nicer to Clem (even though I didn't choose that dialogue option): What? Massive tonal shift. Maybe Telltale doesn't want the players to want them all to die. Sorry, Telltale, it's not working.
Thanks for helping us on the bridge against the walkers, Nick! Oh wait, you just waited until you had an innocent person to shoot. Oh well, you're dead now. (The look on Walter's face after I said that I didn't see anything, and he realized I intentionally made him let Nick die, is the reason I still play this)
Sure, I'll go ahead and search this little cabin. Thanks for telling an eleven-year-old girl to do it, Alvin! But no, I won't hide food from everyone else just so someone I hate can have more. Oh wait, you're dead too. (SHOOT HIM, KENNY! Oh, you shot Carver. That's okay too, I guess.)
And the one that had my jaw on the floor was when Carver just walked into the house. I forgot about it before because it was just too idiotic to remember, but let's list everything wrong with this:
It's the zombie apocalypse!! Who leaves their doors unlocked in the zombie apocalypse?! For that matter, why were the windows not boarded up? (And for that matter, why didn't they have hauled ass away from Carver a long time ago?)
Why would you leave Sarah and Clem unarmed? I can see not giving Sarah a gun, but why didn't they load the empty gun Sarah had and give it to Clem in case of walkers? Because, you know, zombie apocalypse.
Why the hell did Carver come alone? If he expected all of the group to be there, why didn't he bring Bonnie and the rest of them?
Why was there no option to say "You're carrying a gun, and you're seriously afraid of this knife on the counter?"
Why was there no option to say "Of course I don't trust you, you're a complete stranger who just barged into my house!" after Carver gave his little speech in the cabin?
I really hope this "trust" business doesn't become a major part of the rest of this season, because it's fucking stupid. Doesn't a supposed leader like Carver know that young girls are specifically told not to trust people because of situations just like this? How stupid is he? And how stupid is Telltale's target audience?
And Kenny, it's not "We're coming out." It's "I'm coming out." I'll run off and go find Luke while you surrender. Because Carver's group doesn't even know I'm still here and haven't just high-tailed it or gotten eaten by a walker or something.
At this point, I'm playing for body count, I don't even care anymore. Sarah, Carlos, Kenny, Kenny's wife/girlfriend/whatever, and Luke can live. Everyone else, I'm rewinding until I find ways to kill them. (I lost too much respect for Telltale's writers to do the whole "live with my decisions" thing- the plot makes too little sense) Meanwhile, Pete could have been saved if he had worn a good pair of hiking boots. Did everyone in all of TWD (except Glenn) forget about the concept of armor? Except plot armor. They're walking around with plenty of that.
(In another universe where railroad plots don't exist...)
"Clem, I really am sorry about the whole shed business, I found this gun for you, because leaving Sarah alone without an armed protector is an incredibly bad idea. Because we keep a careful watch on where the guns are, like sensible people, I got to it before Sarah could. Don't let her play with it, it's loaded, and do NOT open the door for anyone you don't know. And keep it locked. Like sensible people do."
Cutscene: Aim between the boards on the windows at the guy at the locked door demanding to be let in! Put your cursor over his head and press R1 to end this farce.
Alvin has more than redeemed himself for that thievery thing. When Carver threatened to kill Carlos, Alvin was willing to surrender to save Carlos' life, knowing full well that Carver would kill him instead. He is/was a brave man in my opinion.
My opinion is basically identical to yours. Only that I would consider giving the Episode 9.5, because of the emotional impact of the wole hostage sequence. I was sweating and quailing the entire time, especially when Carver held the knife to Carlos' throat and when he held Alvin at gunpoint.
So let me preface I adored this episode, it was very exciting and fun, so here are a few points I'd like to mention that I enjoyed.
* S… moreo Kenny is back. Everyone could see that coming and I kid you not I screamed and did a giant clap before hugging him. I really enjoyed they brought him back. He was a very characterized character in season, and I will enjoy seeing what becomes of his character in Season 2 even if it's for the worse.
* Now the secod thing I really enjoy is the amount of characters that can die. I like this because season 1 had the problem of where it's debated how much your choices matter. When there are situations where characters can die that leaves more potential outcomes for choices mattering.
* A side not it took me to the end of the episode to figure out why it was called "A House Divided" Derp
* I really enjoyed the entire dynamic and feel to the episode. What I mean by that is I can't tell who the hell are the g… [view original content]
Amazing Episode
SPOILER: Nobody major died in mine except for Walter. I hope Nick and Alvin don't just die anyway like Doug/Carley from season 1 but who knows.
It's Johnny, the guy Kenny shoots. Julian Kwasneski voiced the radio guy and Johnny, and their text colour was the same, so it's reasonable that they're the same character.
I was wondering about that as well because she went and these Carver guys are idiots. The Radio survivors voice is not Michael Madsen and he certainly sounded like a nice guy not that jerk Carver(Madsen)
yeah I hated my choice at the end Nina. I felt railroaded into having to give up and being able to look for Luke with Kenny. I think the (3) of us could have taken out those guys, no problem using the Walkers as wild cards.
I loved this episode. So many emotions! I shed a few tears when I saw Kenny. I felt like I made a bunch of horrible choices in this episode … morethough, lol. I would prefer to slap this fucking bitch
I think this might have been the best episode they've ever done in all honesty. Absolutely superb all-around, I have no complaints.
Huh, I didn't even know he could die. I really hope Telltale doesn't do what they did for season 1 where your choices can only prolong character deaths, that would be annoying.
Lol, nice username.
I thought they might be going in that direction, then he executed Walter so...
me too
any chance i have to get Rebecca or Bonnie killed, I'll do that

HAHAHAHAHA LMAO

Luke leaves and Kenny stays. That's why I'm suspicious of Luke. Kenny seems okay to me so far. What do you think?

So you're saying women all have bitchy attitudes? Real savvy
What? Noo, no! Just when it's that time of the month or when they're pregnant, they can be a little difficult to deal with.

The best moment... I have ever witnessed in TWD..

Sorry if this has already been mentioned!
I think there's no confession if you ask her in the first episode "who's baby is it?"
What happend to Luke?

DO NOT DISCUSS THE EP HERE....
Great episode! What's up with Bonnie? In my 400 days, everyone went with Tavia at the end. Does this mean that Tavia's group is the same as Carver's?
I just wanna say... i hope Carlos doesn't die. I'm really starting to like him!!
Yeah man, me too
I guess we will find out in the next episode. But, that's what I'm assuming so far...either that or they were manipulated/captured.
I've had a bad taste in my mouth over this episode since I played it, but it took me a bit to finally realize why, other than the lack of a "Run or fortify, they're still chasing us!" option at the lodge. The characters' actions are just askew compared to the actions of real people.

Same here. Walter's death took me by total surprise. The way everything was culminating into a disaster was palpable and intense.
It's things like this that make me wonder if this Nick Breckon guy should be the writer for the remaining episodes.
I WANT OFF THE RAILROAD. Great to see Kenny, Of course but totally frustrated by the railroading during the last scene at the Chalet.
It's Johnny, the guy Kenny shoots. Julian Kwasneski voiced the radio guy and Johnny, and their text colour was the same, so it's reasonable that they're the same character.
Personally I really liked the episode, with its subplots and overplots. It was really good, and Kenny's return was the icing on the cake for me.
Not gonna lie, it just about beats 'Starved for help' as my favourite episode.
I was wondering about that as well because she went and these Carver guys are idiots. The Radio survivors voice is not Michael Madsen and he certainly sounded like a nice guy not that jerk Carver(Madsen)
