I'm gonna defend Nick on his actions. When he almost shot Clem, it was out of fear. He thought she was reanimating from the bite on her arm. He also apologized. When he shot Matthew, he had just lost his uncle and was under a lot of stress, also, I agree. From his POV, it looked like Matt was holding up Luke and Clem. I truely believe, if saved, Nick will be remembered for sacrificing himself for Clem.
