Yes. That he's more awesome than sexy doesn't make him any less awesome. And he has great family values. And a dark and troubled background. Still a catch.
His face, the shirt, the booze he's drinking... he even made a remark a bit later in that scene that no matter how much he drinks, he cannot get drunk, which is another trait of Wolverine, he can't get intoxicated with alcohol because of his healing factor, but why the hell wouldn't Bigby be able to get drunk? it was so unnecessary, like they were deliberately trying to make him as similar to Wolverine as they could, even without any logical explanation behind the similarities.
Oh, and I had to put space between "http:" and the rest of the link, because this forum cannot show links and pictures anymore, it simply doesn't show in the body of the comment. You'd have to remove the space in the link to see pictures.
Lol, can't believe that this thread is still alive and kicking...
Actually Bigby was drawn to look scruffy, but still rather handsome … morein the first volume of the comics:

But then, they began to draw him more and more like his face was melting, with a squashed nose and almost non-existent lips:

Though very funny, your observation that he looks like a fist with eyes is also, unfortunately, true.
By the way I already occasionally thought that this character is too similar to wolverine, but this picture really did it:

Well, the lack of intoxication thing is pretty much a staple of anything with increased regeneration in modern fiction, along with "ages slowly", "never gets sick", "increased heartbeat and adrenaline" and "eats a lot", and it does make some vague kind of sense if the healing draws on an increased metabolism to fuel the recovery, making their bodies hyper-effective at processing fuel and expelling useless chemicals.
And yes, Bigby and Wolverine have similar character concepts, both being gruff anti-heroes with animal themes and lots of body hair. Bigby is older, smarter and less impulsive, though, and has, at the same time, stronger principles and lower morals. And wolves are just more badass. Also, Wolverine has the classical superhero build while Bigby is more realistically muscular, and looks a tiny bit pudgy because of it.

Good point about intoxication and metabolism, I forgot that Bigby also has the ability to heal quickly. And I do find Bigby to be much more relatable and interesting character than Wolverine. And I mean really much more.
I sort of liked Wolverine when I was a kid (but then again I generally liked anti-hero archetype ever since I watched Sergio Leone's westerns), but Wolverine soon became somewhat boring and occasionally very annoying character to me, always impulsive and falling into rage, which is odd since he was practicing meditation techniques for decades and is supposed to be trained in maintaining self-control.
Still, that third picture of Bigby I posted really screams "Wolverine", don't you think?

I think it's more because they changed the artist than a thought out and deliberate change of Bigby's features.
Though the same artist (Mark Buckingham) draws all other peoples faces to look quite normally, with clean sharp lines, so why would he draw Bigby in such a different way I have no idea. Bigby always stands out when drawn among other characters, almost like they are all fully completed arts and Bigby is just a sketch someone painted over, because Buckingham was getting late on the schedule and didn't have time to finish him properly.
Still, he's a good artist, I just don't like his Bigby, but I still overall prefer Lan Medina (first picture of Bigby in the post above is his work), who is unfortunately much less present, I think that Buckingham has drawn most number of issues and is a main artist, whether we like it or not.
This song accurately describes what most of the people on this thread were feeling like when they saw Bigby shirtless:

I just had to, i have been waiting for a moment to put a lonely island song on this forum for thousands on years.
Not all women like hair on their mans chest.. some like less hair, some like it bare. Depends what woman you're trying to impress. Not all women like that much muscle either. so safe bet is? be yourself.

But I suppose Bigby when having a face like sandpaper, he would have some Wolf fur on his back and Abs for you. HAHAHA hairbear
