It ultimately was, though. Sarah's death triggered Jane's memories and feelings about her sister, and Jane even says she has to leave before she sees the same thing happen to Clementine. The ghosts of Jaime's death were really messing with her ability to function around the living and kids in particular.
What I was alluding to is that she left the group because she did not want to grow attached to anybody—in particular, Clementine and Luke, and perhaps Alvin Junior—due to the posibility that they would die in the future. And yes, this only happened because Jamie had previously died.
I was trying to say that she didn't leave the group just because "ugh, I am sad because of Jaime and I want to be left alone." There is more to that.

In episode 2 when talking to Conrad and he suggests leaving Gabe alone he says "Just my advice, one parent to another." Hinting that at some point in his life he had a child.

Obviously. The whole point of Conrad's plan was to present the New Frontier with something they would want so that they would let them in less hostile. With Clementine being a former member, albeit one that may or may not have betrayed them previously, it makes sense that Max wouldn't be as hostile and instead make sure your group doesn't have aggressive intentions.
EPISODE 1:
* Rufus is the name of the guy who we can kill before Javi meets Clem.
(Unused dialogue in Jane flashback)
* CLEMEN… moreTINE=[pickup - to AJ] See? Everything's secure. As usual.
EPISODE 2:
* Max was supposed to die during the attack; getting bit by walkers.
I think what BetterToSleep means that the Episode name might be setting up a scene where the player is either going to follow the 'Blood is Thicker than Water' ideology and go with David, or ignore it in favor for Kate instead.
I remember that someone here posted that in S2, Kenny was going to be the villain but the writers scrapped this and created Carver. So the villain in S2 would be someone that Clementine thought that was dead.
In ANF, Javier, Kate and Gabriel thought that David was dead and now he is confirmed to be alive and would be the "villain" in this season.

When Gabe pulls his gun on Conrad, if you tell him to do it, he will actually shoot at Conrad. He fires a few shots at his feet, and tells him not to threaten his uncle.
It actually surprised the hell out of me. I was expecting he'd just put the gun down as per usual, but he actually shoots.

When Clementine tells Javier that she calls the walkers by that name, Javier asks about the ones that run however the game has never actually had a fast moving walker before.

It had to be a joke otherwise Javier is dumb as a bag of hammers. But he sounded way too serious when asking that, which is why it creates some confusion and "wtf" reactions...

That's what I typed last week to someone here, but I had a theory about "Writers using Beta Kenny's S2 role for David now".
Sean talked about Firewatch on some youtube livestream interview and there were TWD related questions, he said how he wrote a rough draft for Season 2 before his departure and said how there were some of his ideas ended up in the game but mostly scrapped, said how Kenny was supposed to be like a baddie (I don't know if Carver already existed in that draft), and was also asked if he would come back to TattleTale but said: "No".

Jane does. She was a coward who had it out for anyone who got in her way of persuading Clem to turn on her friends. Hell, by the end of Season 2 Clem only knew Jane for 5 days. Maybe she didn't deserve to be hanged but she deserved to die, at the very least.

What you said is accurate.

Before I thought Francine was his wife, but she is apparently a girlfriend so the wife is dead too
Now we need to wait until they step into the sunshine unless it means the light at the end of tunnel, then we know Conrad is dying first
Sooo Conrad is urban Kenny?
Uh?
Javi is a parent

The moment you get boners, the whole world starts getting dark.
Assassin Clementine would have been more badass. With the ring finger missing, AWESOME.
I helped someone mention it.
Can Rufus not be killed? I killed him and all the playthroughs I've seen had the same outcome
Someone already pointed out that Clem has an unused model too.
I know
Oh great...
Can't wait until she betrays Javier.

Damn you, Don'tLookBack. You're making me want to leave Clementine on the road.
Yes. Clementine even recognizes this and comments on it.

Yeah, that was my thought about that as well. Once I realize who David was, anyway.

She does not deserve that fate.
No wonder Conrad holds him at gunpoint the next day.
Yeah, it will be too good if Gabe ends up killing Conrad in episode 3 since he threathened Javier and Clementine.
The must funny about that scene was Tripp saying "what the hell was that, some kind of inverse psychology?"
If you don't say anything, he also does that.
When Clementine tells Javier that she calls the walkers by that name, Javier asks about the ones that run however the game has never actually had a fast moving walker before.
I think he meant it as a joke
Yeah, and apparently Clem doesnt like Javi Spanish lessons.
It had to be a joke otherwise Javier is dumb as a bag of hammers. But he sounded way too serious when asking that, which is why it creates some confusion and "wtf" reactions...
Yeah I've strongly suspected that David will be getting Kenny's discarded villain arc. Can't wait

Yeah, you can. And Clementine will have different lines when you meet her shortly after.
Nazi Clementine confirmed.
Finally, someone else who understands the meaning of warning shots!
Clementine tells Lee during her dream in "No Going Back" that her greatest fear is to take a life (Determinant).
I didn't know that!
And now she takes one after another. Way to go, Clem!
Hey, it's best to conquer your fears, ain't it?
