  • I was torn between an ice axe or just a nice survival knife. But I think I'd go with an ice axe, like someone else pointed out, it can help pry things open, helps with climbing, and would take out walkers easily.

  • Primay Katana and secondary pistol

  • A mace is the best weapon. It's made to crush skulls/armor/bones.
Unlike blade weapons it won't get stuck, can't get dull.
It's sturdy and won't break. Even after 1000 zombies....

Any firearm is too loud and will run out of ammo.

Crossbows/bows will quickly run out of ammo too - unless you retrieve the arrows,
but if you run to each corpse anyway you can use a melee weapon to begin with.

A flamethrower would be great too. It's not loud, it can devastate whole crowds of undead.
But again, there is the "ammo" issue.

  • MInigun or RPG

  • That escalated quick.

  • You can make your own arrows for bows/crossbows, just like what the bandits do in season 1. All you need is 1 long shaft of wood, then sharpened and fletched with some tape. No arrow head required.

  • 1- a gun or more preferably a rapid fire weapon

    2-Steel pipe

  • Either the 9MM or a bow

  • Melee: I got bored and decided to make a make-shift war hammer. It's a 3 foot wooden pole with 2 nails sticking out one end, and a chunk of steel on the other held on by said nails.

Ranged: A Tec9. Not a very well known gun but I think it looks badass. Alt text Not to be confused with the rapper, Tech N9ne.

  • I believe Chandler Riggs (Carl) said his ideal weapon would be a Flamethrower with bayonet attached.

I suppose if we're going for that kind of Awesome, Yet Impractical, I'd go around punching zombies in the face with my bare hands (or brass knuckles). Stupid, inefficient, and likely to get you killed, but dammit I'd look like a badass for the whole five minutes I'd survive.

On a slightly more realistic note, I think a fireplace poker would be a solid melee weapon. I imagine it'd have a lot of the same pros and cons as a crowbar; pretty big and heavy, but blunt and great for bashing a head in. A poker could also, depending on the shape, be used to stab/puncture, and could be used for non-combat purposes such as forced entry.

I suppose, ultimately, however, the best weapon for me would be a combat/hunting knife. Simple and boring, but definitely gets the job done, and has countless uses outside of combat.

  • Not bad.
