Which games are you currently playing?

edited June 2013 in General Chat
basically name a game or more that you are currently playing (or have been recently) and say what you think of it.

Prince of Persia (newest): It is OK, not as good as the last 3, the removal of death as a deterrent is irritating, I wish they had not done it, it seems like a way to appeal to "casuals". I think the combat is dry and repetitive also.

Smash Bros:brawl: Overall an excellent game, however a lot of the mechanics from melee worked better in my opinion

Halo Wars: the best RTS I have played on a console, over simplified compared to PC ones, although that is to be expected. It is a pity Ensemble don't exist anymore

Nabbed a Guitar Hero: Aerosmith + X-Plorer Guitar bundle for a measly $30 today. :D So I've been playing that.

It's an okay GH game, albeit much shorter and easier than the others. I'm a bit disappointed that very few of my favorite Aerosmith songs are on it. (Dude Looks Like A Lady, Don't Want To Miss A Thing, Jaded, Crazy... all missing from the game. Bah, humbug.)

But the main draw for me was the controller, with the disc as an added bonus, so it's all good. Can't complain since the game was technically free.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (seriously, the story's great and it's one of the only 3-d platformers I've ever been able to get the hang of, but like everyone says the combat sucks)

Dance Dance Revolution: Extreme (yeah, well, I like it so whatever, plus it's good exercise who wouldn't want to dance to this?)

Sonic the Hedgehog (found a plug and play to my TV with some Genesis games on it, so cool)

Wallace and Gromit: Fright of the Bumblebees (some of Gromit's facial expressions were priceless. Wallace being so awkward around Felicity was funny if striking a little close to home)

Leisure Suit Larry - I was curious. (about the game, not women) :D
Final Fantasy X - I like to make fun of the terrible story
Freddi Fish - Most Epic Game Ever (hey, Ron Gilbert had a part in it)

Final Fantasy IV on the DS. I bought it for myself as a birthday present. :D Loving it so far, but I'm an easy sell when it comes to Final Fantasy.

The Universe According to Virgil Reality!

I am also staggering through Sonic the Hedgehog Genesis for the Gameboy Advance. The collision detection makes this game damn near unplayable

I just recently got Sonic the Hedgehog 3 on WiiWare, so playing that too.

I've been playing Audiosurf (my slow self just got it a week ago), some more TF2, I'm trying out Mirrors Edge on the Xbox 360, I'm stuck on The World Ends With You, and for some strange reason I've been playing Day of Defeat: Source although I hate WW2 games.
Weegee's Mansion: I HATE YOU BOWSER IHATEYOUIHATEYOUIHATEYOUIHATEYOU
I remember thinking those exact thoughts on the final boss battle, as well.

Iam playing Dead Space now and its awesome. Its the best horror survival game I have played in a long time. Infact it made me jump on my seat so many times!! The necromorphs really gives me the creeps.

Dead Space (Great), Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando (never got to finish this one because my MC got erased but I restarted it again with the announcement of A Crack in Time), FFIV DS (didn't intend to pick it up since I know the original by heart but I saw it at 10€ and couldn't say no :P).

Pokemon Pearl (Kinda obsessed, actually. Trying to organize a tournament with my friends).
Trauma Center 2 (Unbelievably fun and one of the best uses of the DS touch screen I've ever played).

I've had it for a while (before christmas), and I have only just got into it. so...

Farcry 2: an excellent game for what I have played of it but very hard to get into, I mean 2-4 hours in and you will start to get it. well worth it, the visuals are beautiful sunrises especially and night time is very nice too. Get it if you can.

After having just finished Sam & Max Season 1 for the Wii (epic), I've proceeded to Guitar Hero: Aerosmith. It seems like a major step back after the full-band, better-graphiced experience of Guitar Hero: World Tour, but I need to play through this thing at least once. Preferably on Expert, if possible.

Ar Tonelico II (currently on hold. Overall it's a decent game, but NIS could've done a way better job than what they gave us.),

Star Ocean First Departure (Short and Sweet. I'm loving this game, haven't put it down since I started. I'll have to play it again to get the alt. characters though)

Valkyria Chronicles (If you have a PS3 and you don't have this game go buy it. Right now. It's just that good. It's a must have in any PS3 library)

Dragon Quest V (Love the story, characters, etc. Classic DQ at its best)

I am generally gonna call you a liar for that. You don't have an italics username or a ttg symbol. I don't think they did a beta test either.

lol, nice text under your picture. (not sure what it's actually called)

So, to welcome you to the forums (and risk the locking this thread), you will be rickrolled.
    Sorry, but I couldn't resist.

I've started replaying World of Goo over again to see if I can get OCD (Obsessive Completion Distinction) on each level. So far, I'm failing.

I plan to beat Professor Layton (#'s 1 and 3) again sometime soon. However, currently, I am trying to see how much money I can make in Fable II...I already bought all the major locations I could so far, and most of the markets...

New Play Control! Pikmin, which is actually much better than what I expected. I had never played the original, although I did own Pikmin 2, and playing this game for the first time on the Wii is an incredible experience. Truly an experience only Nintendo could deliver.

This goes to show that games don't need to gory and death-ridden, simply entertaining.

The Maw:cute platformer with some great game mechanics, although it is a little short, there are a couple of items of DLC available Which I may buy. If you have a 360 get it, as it is only 800 msp with each each item of DLC being 100 msp. It's also on PC

I just got Rhythm Heaven (minus a DSi, unfortunately :( ) and it is cute, addictive, fun, and goddamn hard.

Wow i'm glad that Dead Space is receiving respect, it's trully one of the best games ever, a true heir to System Shock 2.

Me i am currently playing Left 4 dead. Guys. It owns TF2, give it a try, it's total coop awesomeness and one of the top fps ever made. Made by Valve too :P

Also i am currently playing on PC 'Overclocked, a history of violence'
This is a point and click adventure game, but it's more psychological and serious than the more popular adventure games, also, i don't think anyone really paid attention to it, i discovered this just recently and picked it up dirt cheap at some random store :)

Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition: Really like this game and the wii controls work excellently, so glad i picked it up especially for only £15
