Well in my opinion it should be many
it would explain why characters have different personalities each season
it would also give an explination to why theyre alive and know what happened last time ...They WATCHED IT from their universe ( All four dimensions [or at least these 2] know about each other and pick the same people [Season 1 Universe had a buget cut or just likes less people])
also with many universes you can litteraly make drastic changes to characters personalities and backstories ( if theyll ever have them )
