The Dig, Loom, and the 2 Indy Jones games are now on Steam for about $5 each. It looks like the only thing lucasArts updated was maybe the resolution, if that.
It'd be nice to see Grim polished up that's for sure, but fingers crossed Telltale will get some sort of series going in the future based on the Grim universe
Yknow, there doesn't need to be anymore series reboots as far as I'm concerned. I want to see new GOOD IPs from TTG and all the other great studios with devs from LucasArts and otherwise. That's what made LucasArts so great anyway, they kept making brand new games. Yeah, series reboots of all these old franchises would be awesome but totally unnecessary. I'd rather see some brand new GOOD games from TTG after TMI. I'm already looking forward to Gilbert's Deathspank, Schafer's Brutal Legend, and AME's Pirates of Vooju Island.
I voted for Sam and Max Hit the Road because I was surprised to see that not one single person voted for that game. And on a forum filled with Sam and Max fans, no less!
I'd love to see MI2 SE, but they better be up to scratch with the background graphics and character designs. I look forward to hearing the remixed soundrack.
After that, Fate of Atlantis or Loom would probably be the best options. But both deserve good special edition if they're making one.
The rest could only just do with a higher resolution version.... graphics in Full Throttle, CMI and Day of the Tentacle are already stylish enough to just need a higher resolution to get rid of the pixels and jaggies (on the characters). Of course, I'd love to see a 2D ToMI Guybrush in CMI.
Monkey island 2: Lechucks revenge is a must for me. I find it difficult to play adventure games without Voice acting in them, and i have yet to play it. I haven't played the majority on the poll either, but a simple steam release would suffice.
Someone may have already suggested this, but maybe LA is planning to release MI2:SE whenever TTG releases the second season of ToMI? I'd like to see it sooner, but maybe they'll sell more if they wait. Is there any news on when to expect it?
I personally prefer to play any of these games in their original, retro form. Something about old adventure games...I don't know, it just strikes an appealing cord for me, sometimes more than modern games do these days. That being said, I'm more for LucasArts putting these classics on Steam as they are instead of spending a year or two beautifying an already beautiful (in it's own way) game.
I'd personally just like MI2 to be made compatible with modern systems and maybe have an added hint system. With voices at most, it already looks beautiful. Maniac Mansion, though, could be pretty neat. Oh, and LOOM!
WANT NAO.
But now I'm looking at "Fate of Atlantis". Wouldn't it be cool to have a remake but in the style of "Dreamfall"? Each location a complete 3D world to walk through? Exploring the college for the Lost Dialogue, camel riding through the desert, navigating the labyrinth at Knossos with some added booby traps, Atlantis itself.
Why is secret of monkey island even an option if it ALREADY has a SE.
I dont know if this was already asked becuase i was too lazy to check, but still.
I picked Monkey Island 2, but Fate of Atlantis would be a close second for me. The Dig and Full Throttle are both classics in my opinion, but I think both hold up well enough today graphically, and don't really need any updating or enhancements. I may be in the minority of people that could never get into Maniac Mansion I loved DOTT though! while that one doesn't look quite as good as Full Throttle or The Dig, I think it still holds up well enough.

why improve on perfection?

who's with me?
*crickets*
Yeah, I pretty much agree with this. Screw DOTT, I want Razor to have her own game. There's a character with untapped potential and badassery.
