[Stop the guy from toying with Christian]

Do you really want something to hate? Because all you're gonna get is something to fear >:3

He let him hung with a second before he started taunting him. “What have you been told? What did we say we’ll do to her if you step out of line?” He questioned while Christian breathed heavily and tried his best to not struggle or panic. “You’d kill her, you’d kill!” He answer fearfully as he began to freak out even more.

If Christian knows these people and their ways and what they will do to get what they want then there is definitely going to be something to fear. I am afraid.

  • It gave me a really bad vibe when he mentioned the kitchen. It might have been simply some harmlessly sexistic remark, but I have the feeling there might be more behind it. Ever since Starved for Help, the mention of a kitchen in a zombie apocalypse give me a bad feeling. Either way, the leader of this community is almost certainly worse than Jerry ever was.

You never know, people do tend to lean towards people who have their back. I wonder...What did do you think of the loosely mentioned stuff? Like when Christian mentioned them working in the "kitchen."

    (!) Atlanta will not intervene

Okay! After flipping a coin it's come down to Atlanta remaining in the pickup, not intervening. Probably the better choice if you ask me. Though it will probably have a affect on Christian's opinion on Atlanta, after all, she left him hanging >:3

I'll start working on the part and it'll hopefully be out sooner or later. By the way, after the vote to decide if I should post the episode titles; it's come down to them being posted. I'll update the OP with them and maybe have a second post with them monumentally.

Episode 1: The Gateway Dream - Chapter 4: At Twilight - Part 4.

Atlanta looked in silence as the man hung Christian over the edge of the overpass. She kept her vision fixed on the spot in the pickup bed Christian had been sitting, while she heard the hyper breathing of Christian as he dangled over the edge. A sinister smile seemed fixed on the man’s face as he toyed with the young man for calling their leader a fucker. “Now, when I pull you up are going to get back in line?” He asked ruffle.

“Yes!” Christian blunted out fearfully with his eyes still closed.

“Righty then.” The man grunted while pulled Christian backup and left him standing on the edge of the overpass as he walked back to the pickup. Christian stood still and briefly looked down at where he would’ve fallen. He shook his head and ran back to the pickup truck and climbed back in the bed. Picking up his rifle off the and replacing it between his knees as he shot the man a undecided look before turning his vision to Atlanta, then to his left, facing the road as it passed under the truck.

The pickup truck came to a sudden stop and both the driver’s and passenger’s doors swung open. The man who had dangled Christian over the edge climbed out of the pickup bed first, followed by Christian, Atlanta, Daniel, Ashley, and a disgruntled Jerry as he struggled with the large splinters in his back. “This way.” The man muttered as they followed him. Atlanta briefly looked around them, they were in a parking lot surrounded by a makeshift wall made from cars and junk. She turned her head back around to where they were being lead to, it was large mall parking lot, and they were being escorted towards main building.

Everyone remained silent as the arriving group approached the building. Atlanta's wrist’s were sore from the bindings, Jerry seemed less than happy with the place they were entering.

As they stepped inside the building, Atlanta get a very brief look at several guards standing on the roof.

Upon stepping inside the first thing to hit Atlanta was the smell of the place, it did not smell good, it sunk of an odd smell. Though they were getting used to the smell of rotting flesh, this hit Atlanta in hard and made her head feel a little fuzzy.

They place genuinely didn’t look too bad, despite several armed guards standing around, mainly in front of doors that were most likely locked. The layout seemed simply from where they walked in; the main doors lead into a very large room with a high ceiling that had skylights. But directly in front of them were two escalator, one both not budging one bit with the lack of power. They lead down a floor as makeshift stairs. the large mall had very few people walking around, but by the size of it there had to be a good amount of people in the mall. While looking around the place Atlanta almost completely missed the man standing in between the two escalators.

He had dark black hair, a rugged beard, brownish yellow eyes. The man wore a white dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. Finally he had brownish grey jeans with a combat knife scraped to his side.

This person gave a devilish smile. “Ah, I take it you’re all from...Well, it doesn’t matter where you’re all from...Because this is your new home.” His smile briefly turned into a smirk. “I’m Jake Morrison.”

The whole group remained silent and Jake out a sigh. "Welcome to my, and your, humble abode." Jake spun sarcastically around with a hand in the air as he showed off the mall. "I'm sure y'all are..egure to get setup here, but first we need to make a few things clear." Jake held up one finger. "One. You’re free to roam around the place. But, locked means locked. Anyone caught lurking around a place they shouldn't be will be punished." A second figure darted up and he held them for everyone to see. "Your supplies, including rations that you will be provided with, are your own, we will not take anything from you and in turn, you will not take from us. Anyone, including our own will be punished for stealing." Jake paused and gave a serious look. "You are to report any crimes committed, if the higher ups find out you withheld information, they will not be happy. Keep that in mind, will y’all." He smirked and continued with a third finger raising. “Third and lastly. Weapons will not be permitted, only if you are to be working as an escort for our, eh, caravans.”

Ashley darted her eyes back and forth before speaking up. “Okay...What the fuck do you want with us?” She asked, annoyance in her tone from being kidnapped and taken to this place.

Jake bit his lip. “Well, you are the workers of course...In this newly made...Eh? System?” His vision briefly trailed off as he muttered softly, “yeah...Systeme, that’s the word.”

“The fuck are you on about?” Jerry groaned angrily. “Why the fuck, were kidnapped at gunpoint, forced to come here…And now? We’re supposed to be your fuckin’ workers??”

“Well, not mine, you’ll be working for a man named Zafir. And trust me, I may be a asshole, but I’m lenient. You watch your tone around him, he’ll teach you the meaning of insufferable-asshole.” Jake paused and gave the group a puzzled look over. “Names...What your names?

Atlanta sighed with annoyance before answering. “I’m Atlanta, this is Daniel, Ashley, Jerry.”

“Atlanta, Daniel Ashley, Jerry.” Jake repeated, he looked off to the side and muttered soft enough to barely be heard. “...Wish we had name tags…” He turned back to the group clapped his hands together. “Atlanta, Daniel, Ashley...And Jerry. Well, guys, welcome, enjoy your stay, it’s gonna be one shity ride.” Jake turned around and walked down the escalator while Atlanta felt the butt of rifle tap her on the shoulder lightly and briefly turned to see Christian gesturing for them to follow Jake.

The group stepped down the escalator in single file as they followed Jake, who continued his tour. “As you see this used to be a mall, more recently it’s become the home of this operation. You want this new world lacks? Economy, it’s true, there’s no need for money in this world. But...We’ve found a suitable alternative.” Jake’s smirk returned as he finished. “We make meth here, we trade it, sell it, etc. We've established a well balanced trading system and it’s pretty straight forward. You've been brought here for your own well being. You will working here in various jobs.” He paused as he reached the bottom of the escalator and looked back up at the group behind him as he sighed. “I fully understand how...eh...bad, this may seem, but trust me, it’s not too bad. But please, do not blame me, I’m just the messenger.”

He turned back and continued forward, soon turning into a long hallway. As they passed a doorway, they stepped onto a metal grate and over, but just as they stepped onto the grate, a light tapping could be heard from behind the door. Atlanta quickly refocused on not bumping into anyone else as she turned forward and continued with the group. He opened a large double door and let the group inside. They found themselves in a large room with bunk beds laying the left wall.

“Well, this we’re we go a different ways. Once you settle in someone will come by and help you to your jobs.” Jake turned to walk back out of the room along with the man who toyed with Christian at the overpass, and the driver. While the sniper in the paintball mask and Christian walked into the room and got comfortable. Jerry turned back to the doorway and looked at his duffle bag the man carried. “Hey!” Jerry called out, Jake turned around and waited as Jerry continued. “That’s mine.” Jerry finished with an angry expression on his face.

“They’re gonna search through and make sure nothings deemed a threat makes it’s way into here. Once they’re done it’ll find it’s way back to you.” Jake sighed, regretfully. “Listen, I don’t make the rules, sorry.” Jake turned back and Jerry’s eyes followed with a scowl on his face until the door shut behind him.

Jerry shook his head and walked back over to where Atlanta, Daniel and Ashley were now standing. When he got there they were mid-conversation. “--Being forced to help with the apocalyptic meth trade? Fuck no, I’m not helping them.” Ashley said with angry tone.

“That’s not what saying, Ashley. I’m saying…” Atlanta sighed deeply, “I’m saying it’s-- Just, let’s play along for now, does that work?”

“Let’s not forget that they fuckin’ kidnapped us.” Ashley hissed back. “Now they think we’ll just work for them??”

“I’m gonna talk around and find out what’s gonna happen, but just stay together while I’m about, okay?” Atlanta asked, though she wasn’t really looking an answer. “Yes, fine, just get back here soon.” Ashley answered reluctantly.

Atlanta turned and walked off slightly before stopping and looking around the room. Sort of the standard four cornered room; the double was behind her, in front of her was several tables where a depressed looking Christian sat. To her left was a line of bunk beds against the wall. Finally to her right was a line a lockers, where the sniper was seemingly changing out of the thick cloths into something more comfortable.
