Liquid Swords is amazing, I also hear say that ...Only Built 4 Cuban Linx... by Reakwon is stellar, so that'll be one that I'll have to take a peak at also. I've also fallen for Big L recently. Some downright grimy lyrics and I love his production as well. Other than that, Roots' album Phrenology is pretty decent. Nothing that set me on fire, but a fine album nonetheless.
Haven't been listening to too much rap recently. Mainly rounding up some classics that I haven't really accessed too much.

Heard this on the radio yesterday and was instantly hooked. Surprised i've never heard them before: Souls of Mischief - 93 'til Infinity
...and came across this gem on the tube, this one never gets old. One of the greatest instrumentals imo: Milkbone - Keep It Real
Souls is great. I was actually exposed to them for the first time last year when they dropped their latest album There Is Only Now. The whole thing is produce by Adrian Younge, who's one of my favorite producers of all time. Needless to say, I was in love.

Although the production, is... interesting. Leave it at that.
Time to revival this thread!
But first can we take a minute to appreciate hope utterly dope and hilarious Luda's punchlines are? Almost every fucking bar is pure gold.

This is one of those Hip Hop songs that really takes me somewhere else. The instrumental is one of my favourites in hip hop. Plus Kendrick never fails in his lyrics. enter link description here

Cherry Bomb was... ok. The production was what crippled it though. The best tracks are the more jazz influenced instrumentals though. And The Brown Stains is a hell of a banger.

This beat is so good. Curren$y is pretty dope, though I'm not that fond of Freddie Gibbs.

Liquid Swords is probably on my top 5 albums. 4th Chamber, Cold Word and B.I.B.L.E are my favorite.
I'd definitely recommend giving Linx a try.there,s some classic songs on that one.
Big L was great, too bad he had to get his head blown off after two albums. Guy was one of the best In New York IMO.

You haven't heard it before?
I'd honestly place it higher than all of his other records, including Bastard.

Nah, I mostly lost interest in OF after 2012 (besides Earl). I'd definitely rate it as his best album, though I haven't listened to Cherry Bomb yet.
