My favourite character is Emily, I don't really have a least favourite, I like pretty much all the characters although Ashley made me feel sceptical about her, but I still overall liked her too.
The thing is to that Ashley is probably what most of us would be in that situation - scared. And that's not a bad thing.
However, for me Ashley isn't a favorite because of what she can do to Chris and what she can influence Mike to do to Emily. Those two instances show that she's too quick to jump to conclusions and she's vengeful. Granted, either scenario is justifiable, but it rubs me the wrong way.
So, who do you guys think is the hardest character to keep alive? Some might say Sam because of her don't move sequences, but for me, it's Emily
Emily is the only character that can die as a direct decision from the player. (Mike) Tack on her personality, and it makes it all that more tempting for some players to kill her.
She also can die in numerous ways
Crushed by the grinder in the mines if you miss the QTE
Caught by the Wendigo in the mines.
Shot by Mike.
Blown up if she doesn't escape the lodge in time before Sam and Mike blow it up.
I think Matt is a contender for one of the hardest character to keep alive, purely for the fact that the 'do the right thing' mentality can easily get him killed:
If you agree with Emily to go to the fire tower to call for help, then Matt will already be at risk of dying due to his decision to shoot the flare gun on his own initiative should Emily decide to give the gun to Matt, thus wasting the shot that would save his life if he tries to save Emily after the tower collapse.
Saving him means that the player, as Matt, needs to be more selfish and dismissive, as well as understanding whether to take the flare gun or not in certain circumstances. Disagree to the idea about calling for help, and either abandon Emily if you do not have the gun, or try to save her if she gives you the gun.
And that choice also raises her charity stat. Also, opting to give the wolf a bone will also cause Mikes honesty stat to decrease.
I find that logic rather odd..........

Well, Matt IS meant to be the disposable token black guy archetype, thus it makes sense that he should be the hardest to keep alive and (second) earliest to possibly die.

I think it's just that Chris will do anything for his friends. This leads him to be brave for Ashley and go back to the shed for Josh. By comparison, Ashley is also very vocal about her fears, much more so than Chris. Sure he's not inherently brave like Emily or Mike, but he can rise to the occasion if need be.

Aside from relationship stats, the stats are pretty useless, I shall say. Still, I have this itch to check my stats whenever I make a decision. It is almost a compulsion.
I don't really pay too much attention to the stats myself since they're really just there for flavour and don't make much of an impact in the game.
If anything, the stats should really be used for the players themselves and not the characters.
Lol I love it. I love the way this game plays with horror movie tropes and stereotypes.
Ninja Edit - About Matt and Jess tossed to the side - it's an accomplishment that they can even survive until dawn. In your typical horror movie, Jess (slutty blonde) and Matt (black guy) die early and yes they can. But they can also live through, and that's pretty awesome, imo.

But how can you know what most people would do? In this situation she stated you turn if you eat someone, but then she says Emily is going to turn because she was bitten, she adds that last one in as pure assumption when it was known that you had to resort to cannibalism in order to become a Wendigo, she almost gets Emily killed, she can let Chris die by just watching him try to open the door, she lies to Mike about what happens and it can result from choosing to shoot her with blanks after she asks you to shoot her. She's a controversial character, I like her, but what Ashley can do to Chris is unjustifiable.

I really, really, really want to play this game. But sadly, I do not own a PS4. I probably won't ever play it unless it launches on PC, which is very unlikely, considering it's an exclusive.

“Fun” fact:
While playing as Ashley, if you were to be sympathetic to Hannah and Beth, her ‘HONEST’ trait goes down.
I feel more and more alone in liking Ashley.

And then there's Chris' Brave statistic being as low as Ashley by default, and yet he's shown as considerably braver than Ashley.
Are the stats really like that? How curious that I never noticed that.
Hah. That's certainly a mind bending sequence of events.
So Em for her personality and Matt for that confusion.

Exactly. Which makes it all the more rewarding if we actually manage to save him.
Oh, yes indeed,
Too bad he gets thrown to the side until right at the end, much like Jess if we save her.

Yeah, I'd probably be like that, minus the vengeful part.
Me Too In the wiki it says that have a crush on each other
Until Dawn - Binaural Trailer | PS4

I wish this wasn't PS4 exclusive, I would have loved to play this on xbox.

This just added more to the list of things why I wish I had a PS4.
I don't even have XB0, my PC is like 10 years old, I can't play ANY new game that comes out on anything.
Ah, poor Chris. Can get screwed over by both his BFF and potential GF.
I survived! WOOOOO! He didn't get me! =D
bruh
"Private"
I think you mean "reserved".
Chris will be like:
Wendigo will be like:
True x3
Bro goals right there, source
